MWR Spotlight: Eric Allen The Peorian Pride Champion”?

By Brian “Flair” Kelley

Eric AllenThe Peorian Pride Champion”?  If you are a fan of wrestling and did not know that such a title existed then you are not alone. Just by chance I was in Wood River Illinois to check out MECW for MWR when this brash cocky Eric Allen was introduced to the crowd as the Peorian Pride Champion (much to my surprise) in his match with Brian Scrilla.  I consider myself knowledgeable of the independent scene in this area but this was the first that I had heard of such a title.

With the camera in hand I watched as Allen used every trick in the book to keep his coveted title belt. Scrilla was the victim of foul play when “Exxxplicit Content” member Ryan Slade’s valet Jenna Stark distracted the referee, to allow Slade to use the belt on Scrilla’s knee to preserve the victory and retain the title.

I was able to catch up with Allen after the match to ask him “Where did you win this belt?” His reply to me was that he had won the belt in Peoria Illinois. Allen stated “Peoria is famous for the fact that for something to succeed it must work in Peoria. If it works in Peoria then it will work anywhere. The Pro Wrestling legends organization got together and decided to bring all the top stars in Illinois and several superstars of the WWE, TNA and ROH. We competed in an underground tournament of 64 to determined Champion to finally get to the truth too who the best wrestler in the world really was” When I plainly asked who the superstars were that was in the tournament Allen was quick to say “I have no time for 20 questions, I have to get back to Peoria, they are having a parade to commemorate my victory tonight.”

While I was on the three hour trip back from MECW and wrestling was hot on my mind. I could not wait to do the research and find out more about this Championship and more importantly why MWR was not invited?

On Monday evening I decided to see how Allen’s parade went. I went on the trusty websites and did a search for parade in Peoria March 21….nothing. I thought maybe it was listed on March 22 beings that it was so late….nothing. Hmmm… I did a thorough search on the Peoria’s newspaper websites and still came up with zilch.  Who knows maybe it was “underground”!

I decided to contact some of the MWR Wrestling advisers. One correspondent that wished to remain anonymous enlightened me with some great information.

I was told that Eric Allen “started out in Gateway Championship Wrestling in St Louis under the tutelage of Dingo for 5 months. During the later stages of the company Ego Express (KC Karrington and Steven Kennedy) , Shorty Biggs, Sean Vincent and Cameron Cage took over the training. Allen quickly felt that he had trained with the best, so that proved that he was superior to the rest of the locker room and he had yet to have a match.

The correspondent went on to tell me that “His (Eric Allen) ego escalated even further when his hand was raised in Overland Park when he defeated Trent Stone. In Eric’s mind he was a World Champion in the making.  Then by surprise GCW went under and he was left without a home promotion. When you saw Eric all he ever talked about was how he could have been the greatest Gateway Championship Champion of all time. Time went on and he never really seemed to be focused.”

Then he got the call from Lethal Wrestling Alliance to wrestle young Brandon Aarons  when the Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley) came to town. He told anyone that would listen, take notice because the MCMG may take him back with them to TNA after he schooled “This punk kid”.

Aarons was able to get the win and really seemed to get in the head of Allen. Later that same month Allen got another chance to show the LWA what he was made of defeating “Just” Rick Stone.  After the match was over Allen spent the rest of the night lobbing LWA Management for another chance at Brandon Aaron claiming that their first match was fluke.  Allen received his wish and when LWA returned to St Charles the next month the two went at it again it was a repeat of their first encounter.

Allen just disappeared for almost a year and hit rock bottom when he was defeated by Steven Miller. Eric Allen who envisioned himself as the next World Champion was furious and humiliated when an LWA fan started a thread asking “Who the F is Eric Allen?”  One fan thought is was a ref, another one replied he is good a drawing pictures, and one Superfan demanded that he got to see pictures of this Eric Allen still in disbelief that he existed.

High Voltage Wrestling certainly knows who Eric Allen is. They got to see first hand the talent first hand on March 14th where he was very impressive in his domination of Max Archer. After the match was over he was seen lobbying HVW booker Frank Thurman for a HVW title shot with comments like “Let me put HVW on the wrestling map, HVW is young and fresh looking to strive to become the best in the Midwest and I can bring the promotion to the next level.

My correspondent went on to say “The last I caught up with Eric Allen he had told me how he had won this Peorian Pride Championship.” (I had not told my contact where and how Allen had told me he won it)  Allen said that he was headlined in a huge secret  fundraising wrestling event for the Republican Party at the Peoria Civic Center to determined the very first Peorian Pride Champion. He would not say who he fought but hinted that it was a former WWE Superstar who happens to be in the UFC right now. Any fool would know that he was wanting me to think that it was Brock Lesner but when I humored him and asked was it Lesner he replied “ I would love to tell you but you know the government, everything is a secret.”

He ended it with “The man is talented, there is no doubt about it. The problem is his lack of friends due to his ego.” The man is shady and I wouldn’t turn my back on him if I was one of his friends.

Word got back to Allen that I was inquiring information about his title and history and he contacted me via e-mail.  It was short and sweet, “Mr. Kelley make your way to Woodriver Illinois on April 25 at MECW to see the future of the sport and if you’re lucky I will give you the time to know more about the most dominate champion of the Midwest, Eric Allen “The Peorian Pride Champion”.  Tell my fans that I am blessing them with my appearance at High Voltage Wrestling in May when they return to Granite City, IL on May 9th.”

It looks as if I will have to wait a little longer to find out the truth of Eric Allen. Join MWR at Woodriver Illinois on April 25 as we try to get to the truth of the Peorian Pride Championship. Till then  for more information on this show please go to MECWrestling.com

Brandon Aarons beautifies B.A.B.E.WATCH

Posted by reimaginejournalism on March 30, 2009

By Kari Williams

As “Irresistably Flawless” Brandon Aarons saunters to the ring, “Girls go crazy!” becomes his battlecry. With each flamboyant step, he anticipates cries of excitement from the girls in attendance. He foresees them fawning over his Greek god-like physique, hoping he does so much as cast a glance in their direction. The moment he steps through the ropes and flaunts his athletic prowess he lets his personality flourish. When Aarons secures victory, he delivers See You Next Tuesday, a fireman’s carry into a modified lung blower, and covers his opponent for the three count.

The Newport Beach, CA native began his career three years ago with Gateway Championship Wrestling (GCW) and has since trained with Lethal Wrestling Alliance (LWA) and Dynamo Training Gym, where he currently resides under the tutelage of Dingo. Noticing he needed something extra to stand out, Aarons established a serious training program in which he goes to the gym five days a week.

“[Other wrestlers] go to the gym all the time [and] get buff. Me? I was a little, skinny kid. Plus, I wanted to get the girls. So, I figure, I can go out somewhere, and I see all the girls looking at me, and I’m like, ‘Alright, this is cool.’ And then I see all the old guys looking at me, and I’m like, ‘You know what? I must be really good if the old dudes are checking me out too’,” Aarons said.

Once his desire to work at a more rigorous pace developed, Aarons had the opportunity to wrestle on the National Wrestling Alliance—Central States Wrestling (NWA-CSW, now Dynamo Pro) television taping in April 2008 against Adam Rich and Tony Brock in a three-way for the first Young Dynamo Cup. Boosting his credibility is the fact that he has worked on cards featuring stars such as Al Snow, Samoa Joe, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin.

“I wrestled in front of almost 300 people up in NWA Dynamo in Kansas and then Espy [and I] wrestled as B.A.B.E.WATCH [with] IWA Productions…in January. [In the next year, I want to] wrestle in front of more people, get my name out there, get more publicity, do as much as I can to let people know that Brandon Aarons is the next breakout star in the midwest,” Aarons said.

Brandon Aarons and Brandon Espinosa formed B.A.B.E.WATCH in May 2008 and currently have their sights set on gold.

Aarons joined forces with “Thee” Brandon Espinosa in May 2008 when their tag team, B.A.B.E.WATCH, debuted in LWA. The duo has wrestled for LWA, New Midwest Wrestling and High Voltage Wrestling (HVW), among other companies. The skill set they possess, and the attention they receive, allows them to stand out, despite Aarons keeping their key moves secret.

“[Espinosa has] his Mexican flying burrito skills, and I [have] my ridiculously good looking things that I do, which is everything. Plus, Espy and I get fan mail. Granted 99 percent of females that attend wrestling shows are complete trash, and I would never converse with them in my entire life—not even through a mutual friend…But B.A.B.E.WATCH…stands for ‘Girls, girls, girls want our bodies, but they cannot touch us so we wrestle ugly dudes and beat them unless they cheat. You know, like the Ego [Express] did on Jan. 24, the day after my birthday,” Aarons said.

Espinosa utitilizes the time spent together to develop their proficiency and skillfulness in the ring.

“As singles competitors, we are able to show one another what is great about each other, which helps us create our tag team aurora. Strategies are pretty much the same [though]. [We] use each other to the other ones advantage,” Espinosa said.

Having a love for the sport since he was 11 years old, Aarons understands his expectations and responsibilites as a wrestler but while balancing a full time college schedule knows he is limited.

Due to his hardwork and dedication, Aarons, along with others such as Mike Sydal, was named as one of the next wave of breakout stars on Missouri Wrestling Revival (MWR) Owner Josh Ray’s, “2008 Year End Awards and Reflective Celebration” post. Aarons feels that he deserves the credit bestowed upon him.

“I don’t blame [MWR] at all [for selecting me] because if I’m going to train this hard, I better be getting something out of it. But guys like Mike [Sydal], he’s pretty talented. I mean, he’s probably almost just as good as me. Almost. You know, he’s got charisma; he’s got skill. Something I think that I possess as well because I’m irresistably flawless,” Aarons said.

Wrestling for approximately two years, Sydal became an interim member of B.A.B.E.WATCH in Dec. 2008 and appreciates the recognition bestowed upon himself and Aarons.

“It was nice to read that, honestly, because it means people are noticing our hard work. I know both of us can live up to those expectations. We both work hard in and out of the ring, always training in the ring and in the gym,” Sydal said.

Aarons feels secure with his work ethic and plans to prove Ray correct in the coming months. The irresistably flawless one competed in a number one contender’s match for the Heavweight Title against “Future” Donovan Ruddick, J.C. Bravo and Dorian Victor on March 6 for LWA to attest to that fact. In the same month, he wrestled in HVW against Kahagas, who ranked at 373 on Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s PWI 500 for 2008.

“I can guarantee that I can get a reaction out of anybody no matter what I do, whether I’m shaking hands or pulling down my tights to expose my rock hard abs. I [have] skill, I [have] talent, I [have] charisma. My pecs are good. My triceps are good. My biceps are good. I’ve got rock solid thighs, I’ve got great hair. Those guys on that list, some of them might have some of it, some of them may have none of it, but I have all of it,” Aarons said.

The flamboyant Sydal has grown to know Aarons and thinks highly of his some-time partner.

“Brandon Aarons is a young, hungry, up-and-comer with a great body—a nice hard, tight, young body. He is a skilled wrestler with a chiseled and hard, tan look with a young face. [He has a] great boyish face with a toned physique that captivates you so you can’t look away,” Sydal said.

Aarons can back up such statements because he has girls “sending [him] e-mails [and] messaging [him] on MySpace.” Despite his claims, many fans harass Aarons with accusations of being homosexual, which he firmly denies.

B.A.B.E.WATCH plans to broaden their horizons within the next year. ‘We hope to wrestle as much as we can, capture as much gold–because it looks so good around our waists–and spread the word and looks of B.A.B.E.WATCH,’ Espinosa said. Photo by Brian “Flair” Kelley

“We look good. We wear professional-looking gear. I look professional. Espy looks professional. Mike definitely looks professional. His brother is Evan Bourne from WWE. You can’t get more professional than that…What’s gay about us? We don’t do anything gay. We wrestle. That’s what we do. We wrestle. We perform. We get out there. Take names. Kick ass …So, definitely not gay. Not gay at all,” Aarons said.

After working with Sydal semi-regularly for three months, Aarons has no problem with Sydal’s addition to B.A.B.E.WATCH.

“Us good looking guys, we have to stay together because in the wrestling business. It’s hard to find good looking guys, just as hard as it is to find good looking girls…The three of us together has been awesome. B.A.B.E.WATCH as a whole is obviously, Brandon Aarons and Brandon Espinosa, but what do we want? We want babes. What does that ‘S’ stand for? Sydal. He’s the missing link, so if he wants in, he’s in,” Aarons said.

Regardless of the fans’ perception of the irresistably flawless one, he and Espinosa hope to excel as a team, with Espinosa stating that they are on a quest for gold. Before the dashing duet proves themselves in tag team title matches, Aarons must first contend with his opponent at LWA’s next show on April 4 in O’ Fallon, IL. For booking information, contact Aarons through brandonaarons@yahoo.com or www.myspace.com/thegenerickid.

LWA arena report March 7th

Posted by flairwhoooooo on March 28, 2009

By Brian “Flair” Kelley

When LWA comes to O’Fallon Illinois there is bound to be some wild wrestling action. Jordan Lacey and Jeremy Wyatt had set the bar very high the night before with a brutal match that was exciting from start to finish. LWA Has been red hot as of late and with a motto like “ St. Louis Pro Wrestling…A little on the Crazy Side” you never know what you will see when you enter the building.

Before the matches started Vice President Jewels entered the ring to remind the fans that LWA hero Adam Raw would have to make it through her three way gauntlet of matches in the upcoming shows to be reinstated. With an evil grin she stated that it would not be “easy”. His opponent this evening would be none other than Evan Gelistico.

The first match of the evening saw Adam Rich taking on Submission Squad member Pierre Abernathy who was joined by frequent tag team partner Evan Gelistico at ringside.

Pierre was on top of his game and dropped Rich with a powerful clothesline that look to take the life out Rich. Pierre proved why he is one of the top wrestlers in the Midwest and took the win to set the tone for the rest of the Submission Squad members.

Tiffany LaFane was active the night before , this night was no different for in the second match she joined Davey Vega in his three way match against masked newcomer Dash Rando and J.C. Bravo (w/ Team Smurf(Chingo & Alektra Blue).

Dash Rando (Photo Credit: Michael R Van Hoogstraat)

The three men electrified the building with swift moves that excited the crowd. Poor Rando was on an island when Team Smurf did their best to interfere on behalf of Bravo, and when that was happing Lafane was making her presence known by interfering for Vega.

My good friend Patrick Brandmeyer stated that “the Innovative move of the match was Bravo managing to get both Vega and Rando in a half-crab at the same time”.

Lafane would be the difference maker in this encounter of three rising stars and Vega took home another win for the Submission Squad proving that once again they are one of the most powerful factions in the Midwest.

The LWA seems to be motivated to bringing in some of the top women wrestlers in the world for their fans to see in the next couple of months. On the second night of the Double shot, MsChif made her return to the LWA to face Rachel Summerlyn. Summerlyn was looking to go 2-0 after defeating Alektra Blue in Granite City the night before.

MsChif would have her hands raised after she hit a Desecrator(stepover DDT) Summerlyn can feel good going back home to Texas feeling good for her self that she got a chance to test herself with the top women in the world and held her own.

During intermission Ego Express member Steven Kennedy’s rock band Noiseland performed. Kennedy would be teaming up with his partner KC Karrington to take on the Northstar Express later in the evening but was as calm as could be on the guitar as the band rocked O’Fallon.

When we came back from the break we had a battle of the two big men between Darin Childs and Donovan Ruddick. Childs did not endure himself to the Donovan Ruddick the night before when he hit “The Future” with a chair. Childs and Ruddick were like two freight trains on the same rail on a collision course. Ruddick punished Childs outside the ring.

When Ruddick took it back to the ring Childs attacked Ruddick’s formerly injured arm.

Childs was looking strong and seemed to have the former Champions number. Ruddick has the power to overwhelm anyone and Childs felt first hand the explosive force from the former LWA Champion. Ruddick lifted Childs up and delivered a Regal Roll for the victory.

The next match of the evening was between the LWA Tag Team Champions Steven Kennedy and KC Karrington and the MWR Tag team of the Year for 2008 The Northstar Express (Darin Corbin and Ryan Cruz). The Northstar had earned a chance for the titles the night before when they defeated Submission Squad in Granite City the night before (See Kari Williams great recap of the show at MWR here)

The battle of the Express’s was on and from the moment that the bell rang I knew that I was ringside for a match that would be special. The Northstar was accompanied by their valet “pNut” Nikki Mayday. Perfect tag team executions were displayed by both teams. Ground and air attacks were plentiful with mind games galore.

The two Expresses each had a chance for the win. In the end it was the Ego’s who took home the bragging rights this time when the Ego Express dropped Ryan Cruz on top of Corbin for the 1-2-3 and scored the double win.

After the Match was over Karrington took the mic to let the crowd and the Northstar Express to know that they were proud to have gone head to head with one of the most talented teams in the country.

LWA Superstar Adam Raw (Photo Credit: Michael R Van Hoogstraat)

LWA Superstar Adam Raw (Photo Credit: Michael R Van Hoogstraat)

I thought to myself I would hate to follow that match but up next we had Adam Raw and his quest to be reinstated. Jewels must have had a heck of speech prior to the match because Evan Gelistico really was focused during this match. After withstanding Raw’s early onslaught Gelistico took advantage on a miss kick that hit the ring post. Gelistico methodically grounded Raw by taking out his legs.

Raw’ needed this win to be reinstated and it was slipping away before his eyes. I had never seen Gelistico at this level and what a bragging right it would be to retire LWA favorite Adam Raw in his very first match back. Raw rebounded and hit a fall away suplex for what I am sure would of have been the end of Gelistico a year ago, but not today. Raw finally was able to get the victory in a very tough match to continue his road back to the LWA full time. I had talked to a friend of mine after the show and I told him that was the best match I had ever seen Gelistico wrestle in and he stated “I prefer the Mike Quackenbush match from earlier this year, I may disagree but there is no doubt that Gelistico had learned from the match with Quackenbush and has upped his game.

The last two matches were main event quality anywhere in the Midwest and we still had the four way for Jeremy Wyatt’s LWA Championship.

The deadly and exciting Arik Cannon stood across from him. J.T. Lamotta looked to take the LWA title back home with him to Texas. I was very impressed with J.T. Lamotta the night before and in this match he confirmed my belief that he is one of the rising stars in wrestling.

Last but not least you had the Champion Jeremy Wyatt.

One word can describe the match, exciting. J.T Lamotta delivered an awesome version of a suplex DDT on Gary the Barn owl that had me feeling it myself.

As the match continued Tiffany LaFane reinforced the thought of many that she is one of the premier mangers in the sport today.

Not once but twice she entered the ring to deliver a low blow on Cannon to keep Gary’s chances alive. Wyatt ever the opportunist continued his dominance of the Midwest when he took advantage of Cannon’s misfortune, hit a Lightning Spiral top retain the LWA Championship.

Still the LWA Champion Jeremy “The Rebel” Wyatt. (Photo Credit: Michael R Van Hoogstraat)

When the match was over Lafane was furious and demanded that Gary take out Cannon. Cannon fought fire with fire and delivered a low blow of his own, much to Lafane’s surprise. Cannon was able to catch her before she was able to flee the ring.

With Cannon having a handful of hair, I would have bet money he was about to lay a kiss on her but unfortunately for Lafane, Cannon did not have romance on his mind. He hoisted up the LWA Diva and hit her with a devastating brainbuster that sent her crumpling into the mat.

The LWA is on Fire in 2009 with some of the best matches that they have ever had. This marks the second show in the past two months that did not have a bad match on it. I urge you to buy a ticket and see what you have been missing.

The LWA returns April 4th in O’Fallon Il ROH star MsChif returns to take on Sara Del Ray.

NWA Presents Dynamo Pro Wrestling recap 1-31-2009

Posted by flairwhoooooo on February 23, 2009

dynamo-pro

By Brian “Flair” Kelley

NWA Dynamo Pro Wrestling returned to Kansas to start 2009 on January 30th for a good cause as proceeds were to go to “lil” Jimmie Bass to help him get a brand new heart. Former WWE Star Al Snow was to be in action with some of the best young talent in the Midwest so this show looked to have something for everyone.

Pierre Abernathy entered the ring with the unpopular Sadie Blaze by his side to take on the rising star Davey Vega. The crowd was really in Abernathy ear with chants like “Brush your teeth” just to name a few. Abernathy masterfully distracted the ref so that his manager was able to do damage from outside the ring. Abernathy controlled the match but Vega may have received the hit of the night when he kicked him so hard I was able almost feel the blow myself. Vega was able to get the pin fall much to the delight of the Dynamo fans.

A new guy to my knowledge was to wrestle next, Aaron Hawely, a young kid that was to take on the ever cocky Brandon Aarons. This match was between two guys that may lack the size but not the dedication in the weight room. Aarons was all business and went after Hawely with a vengeance. Aarons was dominating the match when out of nowhere Hawely used the ropes while holding onto Aarons head and turned it into reverse neck breaker

Power and speed would meet total meanness when Adam Rich and Trent Stone took on the Barrio Boys (Domino Rivera and Angel). Angel and Domino may come off as two thugs but you can not discount their knowledge as they work like a fine tune machine. The two constantly cut off the ring, not allowing Rich to tag his partner Stone. At one point, Rich had the advantage on Rivera but Rivera wisely maneuvered them into his corner where Angel was able to get the upper hand.

The glaring problem for the Barrio Boys would shine when Angel brought in boxing gloves to toy with Rich, it prompted the kids behind me to go nuts with “cheater” chants. Later Angel spanked Rich like a baby before snapping him into a suplex. It looked to be arrogance would cost them the match when Rich hit Angel with a kick, then Stone blasted him with a spear. When the ref Martin T went to send Rich back to his corner Rivera nailed Stone and sent Rich flying out of the ring. While Rivera was causing mass confusion Angel went for a low blow. Rivera quickly went back to his corner and Angel rolled up Stone for the win.

Kraig Kessman was to take on the flirt Mike Sydal. One may not like the way Sydal behaves but you can not deny the man’s ability. Kessman struggled early to get going on Sydal’s speed and unordinary attack.

The crowd was clearly on Kessman’s side when Sydal had Kessman in a Boston Crab encouraging Kessman to not give up. Sydal stayed on the offense for a long time but Kessman saw a light at the end of the tunnel when he planted one big boot and a frontward DDT for the win.

Billy McNeil and Shorty Biggs thrilled the fans with an exciting match that looked to go both ways at all times. On this night McNeil was able to get the victory against the ever popular Shorty Biggs.

During intermission Al Snow came to ring to sign autographs and take pictures. It seemed as if everyone wanted to get their picture taken with him and he looked to be more than happy to oblige.

When we returned from intermission I was ready for the first match in the triple main event. The LONRS (Mark Sterling and Darrien Sanders) took it upon themselves to walk among the fans, much to the displeasure of the fans. The LONRS were looking for revenge from their last encounter with the Ego Express (KC Karrington and Steven Kennedy) who was accompanied by their manager Tiffany LeFane. This was a knock down drag out chess match between two of the best.

Sterling took bragging rights on the best hit of the night when he threw Karrington into the corner with so much force it looked to derail the Express from winning the match at that point. Karrington showed that he was all heart and kept fighting. The LONRS stole the win when Sanders went for the pin and used the ropes while Sterling held onto his hands for extra leverage. The score was now one win for the LONRS, one win for the Ego Express.

The second main event was the NWA Kansas Champion #1 Brett Young defending his belt against the young Tyler Cook. Cook was so close last month and with OZZY playing I was sure we were about to have a new champion. Young had other plans and really showed why he was one of the premier wrestlers today. Young never really allowed Cook to get off the ground for longer than a few minutes.

One moment, Cook had pulled the turnbuckle cover off trying to hold onto dear life as Young worked him over. That would come to haunt the challenger because later in the match Young threw the turnbuckle cover at the ref. This blinded him long enough so that Young could throw Cook head first into the uncovered turnbuckle long enough for the champ to have retain the belt. Cook had proved to the Kansas fans that he has no desire to give up the NWA Kansas Championship anytime soon.

The MWR 2008 Wrestler of the Year Jeremy Wyatt was in the main event taking on the popular Al Snow. Wyatt had just came off big victories of Davey Richards and Tyler Black and looked to add the man the fans wanted to see to his list of victims. Al Snow came to the ring with his friend “Head”. The crowd chanted “We want head” while Snow talked to his mannequin friend in the corner to start the match. Then before they would lock up Snow ran the ropes and went back to the corner to talk to his “friend” again. This went on for a while and really seemed to get under Wyatt’s skin.

When the action got underway the two exchanged moves until Wyatt was able to deliver a clothesline that took Snow out of the ring. Wyatt threw Snow into the turnbuckle and attempted to use a chair but the ref intervened just in time. Wyatt took it back in the ring and “Wyatt Sucks” chants rang through the building. Wyatt leaned on the Snowman and punished him with powerful strikes. Snow was able to turn the momentum when he tossed Wyatt into the turnbuckle but the ref was their and was knocked out. Al called for the second ref Martin T to come in to make the count, but when he came into the ring it was too late.

Snow went for a strike on Wyatt but Wyatt shoved Martin T in the way to protect himself. With both refs out of the ring and Snow went to check on one of them, Wyatt brought in a chair but the other ref was getting up so he hit himself with the chair hoping the ref would disqualify Snow thinking that he had used the chair. Snow knows every trick in the book and before the ref was up he did the exact same thing causing the first ref to be confused on who the culprit was. The ref was asking the fans who had used the chair, Wyatt protested while Snow recovered to get his “friend” Head and use it as a weapon for the 1,2,3 much to the fans delight.

LWA January 24 Arena Report

Posted by reimaginejournalism on January 30, 2009

By Kari Williams

Going back to their home base, Lethal Wrestling Alliance had a number of high profile matches for the 115 fans to look forward to at the Knights of Columbus Hall in House Springs, MO, but none more exciting than LWA Champion “The Rebel” Jeremy Wyatt versus Dingo. But of greater importance as the show kicked off was the fact that Dr. Katz, a doctor Jewells hired, said that a number of the stars were unable to compete.

‘Future’ Donovan Ruddick, Gary the Barnowl, XXX Jordan Lacey, Shorty Biggs and Billy McNeil all came to ringside complaining about Dr. Katz’s unusual diagnosis respective of each individual. K.C. Karrington then came out and said that he got a fax on his portable fax machine from Katz stating that he could not wrestle either.

LWA President Luke Roberts addressed the situation and called Katz to ringside to reveal some disturbing information about the so-called doctor. According to Roberts, Katz had three counts of downloading child porn against him, two counts of assumming another person’s identity and 36 counts of have sex with farm animals. Upon the release of this information, Jewells revealed that she made the athletes unable to compete because they are all worthless and do not deserve to be in the main event, let alone in the ring. Roberts allowed all of the men to compete that evening and announced that when LWA returns to House Springs on Feb. 21, Lacey and Ruddick will take on Wyatt and Jewells.

Mike Sydal took on the returning Tyler Cook in the first bout of the evening. Before the match truly got underway, Cook made a comment about Sydal’s body glitter, to which Sydal replied, “I sparkle because I have such a bright future in this business.” Cook controlled the first portion of the match and had Sydal down but only for a two count. Sydal soon turned the tide, but when he missed a high impact move, he gave Cook a chance to gain momentum, which did not last long. Sydal used his wit to steal a win with a roll-up and holding the tights for extra leverage.

Commissioner Adam Raw ventured to the ring to lay down some ground rules for the upcoming six-man tag match and call the Bearded Men and the Submission Squad to ringside. Raw decided that the losing team had to break up and that they will never team together again. He then goes even further, saying that each team must pick a captain—Billy McNeil and Pierre Abernathy were named—and the captain of the losing team would never be seen in LWA again. The commissioner’s final statement was that the match would be no disqualification.

Getting back to the action, Dorian Victor wrestled Shorty Biggs, continuing their feud. These two men took the fight to each other, but the fans did not take to this match as much as their previous battles. At one point, Victor locked Biggs in a double-leg Boston crab, but Biggs reached the ropes. Victor did his best to keep Biggs down, but he could not do so for much longer, as Biggs his Victor with a boot followed by the Shortcut for the victory. Biggs then got revegne on Victor for previous low blows by returning the favor.

Up next was the No-DQ six-man tag match. Davey Vega, Pierre Abernathy and Evan Gelistico have been hellbent on ending the Bearded Men’s stable from the beginning. However, Jordan Lacey, Billy McNeil and Gary the Barnowl would not go down without a fight. All of these men fought for their lives, so to speak, as they brawled in and out of the ring. At one point, McNeil, Lacey and Gary had their opportunity—in succession—to launch across the ring and plant the Submission Squad to the ground. There was chaos everywhere, with neither team gaining a clear advantage. Near the end of the match, Gelistico threw Gary to the outside, and Gary landed hard on the ring entrance and Lacey was smashed through a table.

The match ended with Abernathy pinning Gary, but Abernathy had his feet on the ropes. Much to the dismay of the fans, the Bearded Men had to break up, but before the Submission Squad went to the back, Gelistico revealed that McNeil had taken him to Space Station Eleven and made clones of himself, one of which being Super Electro. He then went on to say that he is Gary’s father. Looking confused and upset, Gary left with the Submission Squad as McNeil thanked the LWA fans for the last time.

At intermission, LWA’s own “Spoiled” Steven Kennedy played with his band, Noiseland, much to the delight of the crowd. Noiseland played some original songs and a couple of covers. Kennedy brought Karrington out as a guest band member playing the spoons.

Before getting back to the matches, Ring Announcer Paul Parker called Roberts and Raw to ringside. Roberts had many ideas to make LWA better. Starting at the next show, bell time will be 7:00 instead of 7:30, ticket prices will be reduced on a permanent basis and beer may become only 50 cents. He also stated that he needs someone who bleeds LWA and is a former champion. Raw ruled out the choices of Frankie Big Balls, Mag Dog Dafronian and Nick Tyson, and then announced that Dingo v. Wyatt would change to a Jefferson County/House Springs Street Fight.

The Ego Express defended their tag titles against B.A.B.E.WATCH (“Thee” Brandon Espinosa and “Irresistably Flawless” Brandon Aarons) in one of the best matches of the night. B.A.B.E.WATCH has become the team to watch as the top contenders to the titles. Espinosa and Aarons did their best to come out on top, working more cohesively than they have before. However, they were not able to capture the gold on this exchange, as Kennedy and Karrington’s experience as a tag team aided them in the end. Kennedy pinned Espinosa after the Fatality and decisively ended the bout.

Follwing the impressive tag match, Mark Sterling took on Shamus O’ Flannery in a one-sided affair. Every time O’ Flannery tried to gain an advantage, Sterling used his strength to overpower him. Nonetheless, O’ Flannery did attempt to wear down Sterling by attacking Sterling’s knee, but it was not enough. Sterling locked O’ Flannery in the Markshooter and O’ Flannery had no choice but to tap out.

LWA Champion Jeremy Wyatt was in for a brutal fight against Dingo. These two men beat the hell out of each other all around the building. Fans ran from their seats and scurried away from the competitors to ensure that they were not hit. Both men scored multiple pinfalls but still could not put the other one away. Dingo and Wyatt even went so far as to bring one of the light posts that surround the ring into the match. Dingo had the title won via submission, but just as Wyatt was about to tap, he poked the referee in the eye, injuring the ref, so that the tapout would not count. He then used his trickery to steal the win with a rollup and a handful of tights. By the time the match was over, Dingo was a bloody mess and Wyatt left with the smug satisfaction that he had defeated one of the best wrestler in the Midwest. Only mere moments after the devastating brawl, Ruddick emerged and gave Wyatt a spinebuster and layed the belt across a wounded Wyatt.

LWA will return to House Springs, MO with a new start time, lower ticket prices and a tag match that you will not want to miss.

LWA Arena Report Jan. 3

Posted by flairwhoooooo on January 20, 2009

By JJ

This was the second night of the LWA’s double shot weekend. There was a very nice attendance of 195. The fans were excited to see Mike Quackenbush who has wrestled through the world and is the current NWA junior world heavyweight champion. They were also looking forward to the main event with was a match that was sponsored by MWR as one of the best of the mid west match series. That match would feature Tyler Black a current ROH star wrestling Jeremy Wyatt the current and reigning LWA heavyweight champion.

Luke Roberts the LWA president made his way to the ring stating that he had someone that wanted to make an announcement. That person was none other than Mike Quackenbush. He stated that he wanted Evan Gelistico in a match due to the fact that Gelistico and Abernathy caused his match with Nick Tyson the prior evening to be thrown out. He wanted no interference to be guaranteed and that is when Commissioner Adam Raw stepped to the ring and assured him that he would make sure that that did not happen.

The opening match was a six way match featuring Dorian Victor, Pierre Abernathy, Adam Rich,  Shamus O’Flannery, Eric Allen, and Shorty Biggs. Dorian made his ring entrance still begging for money from the fans saying that the Bavarian Boy was sick and that he needed money to take care of him, seeing him begging was quite funny. As the match got under way you saw quite a few tags between the different competitors. Then it all broke down and you had wrestlers inside and outside the ring. At one point five of the six wrestlers were outside fighting, Shamus was left in the ring and he excited the crowd when he delivered a “Helo” a head over heel suicide dive taking out his five competitors. Chaos was all around the ring,  when Dorian saw a chance to strike and hit Shorty with a low blow and covered him for the win. I don’t remember who it was, but someone made off with Dorian’s cup of money.

The second match of the evening had XXX Jordan Lacey facing of with Mephisto. This was a pretty lopsided match with XXX in control of most of the match. The match was stopped by the ref as XXX was on top of Mephisto, smashing him with  brutal strikes to the head. XXX was dominating for the second night in a row by defeating his opponents with a knockout.

The fans were treated to a LWA rematch of “The Future” Donovan Ruddick and Mark Sterling. Before the match got started Mark took the mike and told Donovan that you told me the last time we wrestled that as soon as you won the LWA title that you would give me the first shoot, since you are the number one contender why don’t you put in on the line instead. Donovan agreed they shook hands, which was nice to see and the match was on. This was a very high impact match and it was also a see saw battle. Donovan must have done something wrong because when he picked Sterling up he grimaced in a lot of pain, with sheer guts and power Ruddick finished this one with a razors edge and a cover for the one, two, and three. Many of the LWA Management came out to escort the former champion out of the ring.

The next match was between two gentlemen that I had not seen wrestle before it was a match between Hunter Matthews and Shane Hollister. This match was very enjoyable.  It saw mat based wrestling, hard strikes, chain wrestling, and even some high flying. This match had a lot of near falls. Hunter won the match with a pile driver. Shane received a round of applause as he left the ring. After the match there was an intermission.

The second half of the night started with a tag title match between the champs the Ego Express and BabeWatch. The Egos had a very entertaining entrance with the belts strapped around the both of them. This was a back and forth match, with neither team letting the other team get much of an advantage. The Ego express was able to take the victory in this one to retain their titles. I sure this is not the last time we will see these to teams face off.

The next match of the evening saw Gary the Barn Owl face off with IWA-TX U30 champion Nick Tyson. This match saw the two men battle inside and outside the ring. At one point I thought Gary would be counted out, but he managed to make it back. I guess that was what he needed, they wrestled for a few more minutes and Gary pinned Nick to become the new IWA-TX U30 Champ.

The match prior to the main event saw Mike Quakenbush versus Evan Gelistico. This was a fast paced and hard hitting match. They both put all they had into it. At one point Quackenbush had Gelistico set up for a Quacken driver and Pierre showed up to distract him, but Raw chased him off. There was a little more action before Quackenbush set him up for a Quacken Driver and connected with it for the pin

The main event was just plain awesome, it was Tyler Black versus Jeremy Wyatt. This was a very fun match for wrestling fans. These two had a lot to prove to one another, and I think the accomplished it. Lots of near falls in this one. The end came when Tyler went for a flying cross body block from the second turnbuckle and missed. From there Wyatt rolled him up in a small package for the win and to retain his belt.

This was a good night of wrestling. Thanks go out to the wrestlers and the LWA.

NWA Dynamo Pro – Wrestles for a new Heart for Jimmie Bass January 31 in Ottawa Kansas

Posted by flairwhoooooo on January 11, 2009

dynamo-pp
Christmas time has come and gone, your family and friends have come together in the season of giving. Pro Wrestling has a long history of giving not only during the Christmas season throughout the year. During the year there are many wrestling company’s support fundraisers. They include Toys for Tots, school functions, Relay for life, just to name a few. The wrestlers and the company involved take great pride on helping others. The relationship between the wrestling community and their fans are like none other.

Just prior to Christmas, a tragedy in the Nilwood Illinois when a fire caused a family to not only lose their house but sadly the mother. New Midwest Wrestling quickly stepped and promoted a show to help raise funds for the family.

This past weekend my heart was touched when Larry Barber and NWA-Dynamo Pro Wrestling brought to my attention a fundraiser they were doing for a young boy named Jimmie. Larry also sent me pictures and here is the heartfelt letter that his grandmother Charlene Bernabe sent.

Larry,
Jimmie Bass is a 5 yr. old little boy from Ottawa awaiting a heart transplant. He is now on a heart pump and cannot leave the hospital in Iowa City Iowa until he receives a new heart. He was born with 3 chambers to the heart. The arteries were all routed backwards at birth. Causing the blood to bypass the lungs. He also had a hole in 2 of the chambers. He has undergone several open heart surgeries to try to help fix this problem, but it was not successful. There was too high of pressure in the heart. His heart just was not able to go anymore, that is why he is on a pump. There is a web site that has a video about lil Jimmie and the pump, due to it is not FDA approved. You may get it at KGAN CBS 2 go to there website and scroll down on the top stories called….”A NEW HEART FOR JIMMIE”. Thanks for all your help. Charlene Bernabe

Jimmie Bass enjoys a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Clause in the hospital.

Not only will you have the opportunity to help out Jimmie Bass but you also will get to see some of the best wrestling in the Midwest.

Jeremy “The Rebel” Wyatt vs. Former WWE and ECW Superstar Al Snow

Al Snow is well rounded with years of experience; he was one half of the former WWE Tag team champions (with Mick Foley), he can beat you in many ways. Snow was recently seen in TNA when he helped Kurt Angle defeat Rhino by distracting and slapping special guest enforcer in the face.

Wyatt was able to get the victory in a hard hitting match in November when he defeated ROH Superstar Davey Richards in a brutal hard hitting match Will Wyatt’s intensity be used against him by the wily veteran? This should be wrestling classic.

NWA Kansas Championship rematch
Kansas Champion #1 Brett Young vs. Tyler Cook.

There last match in Pomona Kansas, earned them the match of the month for November. Young was able to walk out with the Kansas Championship that night. Cook was able to impress the NWA that he was deserving of another chance to win the belt. This rematch has many interesting questions surrounding it. Young has years of experience to his advantage, was he showing all that he had to offer in that match. Cook on the other hand had his most profiled match against Young and came very close to winning. Will Cooks confidence be at such a high level that the Champion can not overcome the energy that the contender brings?

Tag Team Rematch
“The Ego Express” (Steven Kennedy & KC Karrington)
vs “The LONRS” (Mark Sterling & Darrien Sanders)

Shorty Biggs vs. Billy McNeil

Your Trip to Space Mountain – NWA presents Dynamo Pro Wrestling 11-29-2008

Posted by flairwhoooooo on December 20, 2008

 dynamo-pro-wrestling-logo

By Brian “Flair” Kelley

I won’t lie to you, I was excited about going to Pomona Kansas for professional wrestling. How could you not be? The night would include a NWA Kansas Championship match between #1 Brett Young taking on Tyler Cook, Dingo was scheduled to have a rematch with Jeremy Wyatt. A tag team dream match between the LONRS and the Ego Express plus ROH Superstar Davey Richards would be in action as well. Yes, I was excited about all of those stellar matches, but what really excited me was hooking back up with my friends in Kansas before the holidays.

Dubray and I got into the Pomona, Kansas, a small town of less than a 1000 that I had never heard of, much less been too. The NWA has advertised a meet and greet with the fans at a restaurant called Buzzards Pizza. I had ran into a wrestling fan in St Louis the week before, Jonathan Jones, who I had told about this night of wrestling. To be honest, I really didn’t believe that he would make it. Lo and behold, Jonathan called me to let me know he was in town, so he caught up with us at Buzzards. While the wrestlers met with the fans, we enjoyed some of the best pizza I had ever tasted. Wrestling fans if you ever hear that a wrestling show is coming to Pomona, you now have two reasons to go.

dynmo-wrestling-pics

(From Left to right) NWA Kansas Champion #1 Brett Young,Desiree Powell 10 , Shorty Biggs,Jared Griffin 9, Ashley Griffin 10, Sadie Blazz,Ashley Griffin 10 and Dice

The NWA had invited us to come and give away a MWR T-shirt to one of the fans at the show. While my better looking half, Dubray met them at the door Jonathan and I watched as fans kept coming through the door. I was thinking to myself, “is the whole town here?”

Before the match started, a 3 bell salute with a moment of silence, was asked by Larry Barber from the crowd, due to a tragedy within the community. A young man age 14, Treavor Wormell, had lost his life while another boy Preston Bunyard was in critical condition after a head on collision with a combine. Everyone at MWR, extends their thoughts and prayers to both families.

With the building packed, the announcer introduced the first match, a six way between Domino Rivera, Brandon Espinosa (In a pretty pink and blue outfit), Kraig Kessman, Mike Sydal (Skipping into the ring), Davey Vega and Adam Rich. I turned to Jonathan and said “There’s a lot of talent in the ring right now.” Rivera, who is a stone cold assassin normally, couldn’t resist teasing Sydal and Espinosa that they should be a couple before the match started, which prompted laughter throughout the building.

Throughout the match Sydal was able to use his athletic ability to impress the crowd. Espinosa hit a beautiful dropkick on Vega, but Vega would later return the favor when Espy was outside the ring, Vega went to the top rope and his a flying body press onto both Espy and Sydal and at the same time that happened Kessman went to the top rope on the other side and hit a flying ax handle on Rivera. Exciting action from all 6 men ensued during the match. Rivera seemed to have the match won when he hit a killer clothesline but when he went for another move, Kessman hit a snap mare DDT for the win.

Aaron Scott and Brandon Marino were up next, the two mirrored each other in looks, power and moves. What one could do the other would match. Aaron was nasty from the get go and threatened to rip off Marino’s arm at one point of the match. Powerful kicks and big moves were abundant in this encounter. Marino made the mistake of going to the top for a high risk move but Aarons was one step ahead and moved out of the way which led to Marino hurting his leg. Aarons smelled a weakness and capitalized on it with a sharpshooter for the victory. I know I saw more wrestling in this seventeen minute match than I have seen on my TV screen the past 2 weeks. Trust me when I say you will hear of these two guys before it is said and done.

#1 Brett Young came to the ring to let the fans know that he is the NWA Kansas State Champion, a fact that makes him better than each and everyone of the fans in attendance. Tyler Cooks name echoed all through the building as he entered the ring. The Champion showed little respect for the #1 contender by slapping him in the middle of the ring. Cook returned the favor with a slap of his own. Young went for a cheap shot, but Cook was ready with the block and a punch. Young wisely bailed out of the ring, and my guess was he finally realized for the first time that this match was not going to be a walk in the park.

The ever popular Shorty Biggs was to take on every fans enemy, Pierre Abernathy, who on this night was accompanied by manager Sadie Blaze. Biggs had Abernathy rattled early on with his tomfoolery. Abernathy bailed out of the ring, Biggs went with him and chased him around the ring. Blaze then made his presence known by hiding under the ring with sneak attack. The crowd was not happy that the European scumbag had taken the cheap way and the building rang with USA chants. Shorty would get the advantage only to have Blaze interfere and negate it. Blaze attempted to help one more time, but Shorty took advantage of a miss hit for the 1 2 3 win going into the intermission.

At Intermission the wrestlers came out and met with the fans to take pictures and thank them for coming. While they did that, Jonathan went and bought the Jeremy Wyatt and Tyler Cook t-shirts, and I caught up with my friends Logan and Alex. I was able to speak to some of the wonderful members of the Masons. The night of wrestling was also a fundraiser for the Masons. They explained to me in more detail of what their organization is about.  It is amazing what the Masons do to help others in need.

After intermission we were treated to what I’d like to think was a triple main event. The  first match was two of the best tag teams in the Midwest, The LONRS (Mark Sterling and Darrien Sanders) taking on the Ego Express ( Steven Kennedy and KC Karrington) and  led by the always talking Tiffany Lefane.

The LONRS were home in Kansas, but the two let the fans know they wanted nothing to do with them. The match went back and forth with Lefane’s presence felt at major moments of the match. This would prove to be true when the LONRS went for a top rope piledriver on Kennedy. Lefane took advantage and distracted Sterling, Karrington meanwhile took out Sanders and pushed him out of the ring to allow Kennedy to roll up. The LONRS were furious and vowed to get revenge on the Express when the NWA returns January 31, in Ottawa Kansas.  The Ego Express and the LONRS had lived up to the expectations of Jonathan who stated that this was his vote for the match of the night.

Dingo was scheduled to take on his rival Jeremy Wyatt but due to an injury was unable to make it. He was replaced by Ring of Honor Superstar Davey Richards. As soon as the announcer stated who Wyatt’s opponent was, I knew there was going to be a war. Wyatt normally is able to overwhelm his opponents with his intensity but Richards is one of the few men who can match him and then some. Wyatt and Richards beat each other from one side of the ring to the other. At one point Wyatt threw Richards out of the ring onto a group of fans in the front row with ring rail in tow. Wyatt hit a belly to back suplex for the victory against the ROH Superstar. This was a pure wrestling classic with no gimmicks required.

high-voltage-show-2-plsu-nwa-in-pomona-170

Davey Richards did not care if Wyatt is the number one ranked wrestler in the Midwest. He delivered brutal strikes throughout the match.

That last match could have been the main event anywhere else in the country but on this night we had the NWA Kansas Championship Match. Brett Young walked to the ring and seemed to regain his composure from the earlier meeting with the young Tyler Cook.  The place was shouting “Let’s go Tyler” but Young is a master in the squared circled and slowed the pace down so that the fans and Cook were unable to get the quick start. When Cook would get the upper hand, Young wisely took a step back and never let him get in a routine. Young decided that he would just take the easy win by going to the locker room and calling it a night but Cook took it upon himself to bring him back to the ring. The fans were ecstatic when Cook turned it up a notch and proceeded to punish Young outside the ring. At one moment, Cook held Young while a Kansas masked fan delivered a Ric Flair chop.

high-voltage-show-2-plsu-nwa-in-pomona-192

Playing around with the fans may have been a mistake because when Cook threw back inside the ring. Young struck quickly before Cook could get back in the ring to get the advantage. Every time Cook would strike, Young had an answer.

With the referees back turned Young took the pad of the turnbuckle. The time that it took allowed Cook to recover, which led me to believe that we would have a new champion. I was sure that Young’s evil deeds would backfire on him. With Cook going for the pin, Young powered out and threw Cook head first into the uncovered turnbuckle. With the challenger knocked out Young was able to get the victory and retain the NWA Kansas Championship in an exciting match.

MWR November 2008 Awards

November Wrestler of the Month

jeremy-wyatt-part-2

Jeremy Wyatt (PWP, LWA, 3XW, HVW, NWA-DPW)

The rebel wrestled in FIVE organizations in four states in the month of November. At 3XW in Iowa, he defeated the vastly improving Mike Sydal. In Illinois with HVW he wrestled Kahagas in such a tough match that Kahagas had to use a fake injury to get the upper hand to steal the win. At LWA in Missouri, he retained the LWA Championship in a three way between Dingo and KC Karrington when he pinned Karrington.

He traveled to PWP  in Iowa he was able to retain the PWP Championship when he defeated former Champion Abu Colossus and #1 Brett Young in a three way dance. Last, but not least he returned to Kansas with the NWA, he was scheduled to take on Dingo but when Dingo was unable to go, none other than ROH Star Davey Richards would be the man Wyatt had to beat. In a match up that Wyatt sure felt the next day; the outcome was once again a win for the Rebel Jeremy Wyatt.

NWA Dynamo Pro Wrestling

In a time where 100 people attending is good, 221 is phenomenal. What is more impressive is the last time wrestling was there the attendance was low. More important than the number was the crowd response. From the time the bell rang to the last pinfall the place was off the hook.

1st Runner Up –New Midwest Wrestling
2nd Runner Up – 3XW
3rd Runner Up – IWA Productions

Magic Man (HVW)

Seemingly 100% behind his man from the PWI 500, The Magic Man turned on Kahagas during the main event of the last High Voltage show, aligning himself with “Future” Donovan Ruddick. He showed that he gravitates toward greatness, and he felt that Kahagas could not handle it anymore (see video on Missouri Wrestling Revival). Overall, Magic Man’s wit and knowledge warrant his nomination for Personality of the month.

1st Runner Up- Luke Roberts (LWA)

November Match of the month

NWA Kansas Champion #1 Brett Young

Vs.

Tyler Cook

(NWA Presents Dynamo Pro Wrestling)

October 29th Pomona, Kansas

On a night where every match was top notch, the pressure was on in front of 221 people. The Kansas Champion was at his very best, working the crowd to frenzy and using every advantage to retain the title. Tyler Cook, worked and worked to get the momentum going his way but when Cook hit the uncovered turnbuckle (Thanks to Brett Young earlier) he would go home without the belt. In the main event, you can make or break what the fans thought of the night. Cook showed that he can live up to the hype that many feel he is capable. The fans though, cant wait to see Brett Young get what’s coming to him next time. What more can you ask from the bad guy?

Kansas Wrestling fans have been patiently waiting for wrestling to return. They will be rewarded November 29th, when NWA Midwest presents Dynamo Pro Wrestling in Pomona, Kansas. Fans will have a chance to see some of the best athletes that Kansas City has to offer, as well as top wrestlers around the Midwest.

NWA Kansas Champion #1 Brett Young vs. Tyler Cook

The main event will feature one of the most charismatic wrestlers with Brett Young defending his title against Tyler Cook. What will be Young’s strategy will be anyone’s guess as he draws on his years of experience. That advantage has helped him win the Championship when he defeated Tony Cortez, Hype Gotti, Jeremy Wyatt, Jaysin Strife and Darrien Sanders in an elimination match in March before taking the title from Mark Sterling that very night.

On the other side of the ring will be Tyler Cook. In the absence of Kansas wrestling he has been in Missouri, Illinois and Iowa working hard and improving his game. The NWA has taken notice and rewarded him with a dream opportunity to come back home and win the Kansas Championship. Cook will have to use his youth and speed to reach that goal. Many have dubbed Cook as the future of Midwest wrestling, has his time come this soon?

The LONRS vs. The Ego Express

Kansas fans are very aware of the tactics and talent of both Mark Sterling and Darrien Sanders, but for the very first time they will see them collectivity as the LONRS. They have quickly become one of the most talked about tag teams in the Midwest. With mind games and quick tags they keep their opponents guessing, with that moment of uncertainty Sanders can strike with a vicious kick and end it quickly.

Though the Ego Express are not household names in the Kansas area, let it be known that after this match they will not be forgotten. Spoiled Steven Kennedy and KC Karrington are arguably the best tag team in St Louis. Exciting, fast and electrifying you can never turn your head because you never know what you will miss when these two hit the ring.

If you are a fan of tag team wrestling then this match is for you!

NWA Missouri Champion Dingo vs. Jeremy “The Rebel” Wyatt

These two had a classic in August in St Louis that had the Kansas native within seconds of becoming the Missouri Champion. When the smoke cleared from the battle of the two best wrestlers in the Midwest, Dingo had retained the title when he defeated Wyatt with a moonsault press. Out of respect Dingo offered a handshake after the match, but Wyatt delivered a cheapshot then proceeded to land a vicious hammerlock DDT and left the Champion knocked out to end of the evening.

Though Wyatt may be in his hometown, Dingo is loved and respected from the Kansas fans. Dingo is the Ric Flair of the Midwest, in the respect that you can always count on him for a great match, Wyatt this year has reached that plateau as well.

Will Dingo be able to get revenge or will Wyatt even the score on one of the few men that has been able to pin the Rebel in O8?

Like you would need anymore reason to join us In Kansas!!

NWA Dynamo Pro Wrestling delivers with special guest Ring of Honor Superstar Davey Richards. Richards is one of the top talents around the world. Known for his powerful strikes, intensity in every match he is in, you will be glad you got to see him in action.
