Dynamo Pro Champion Mike Outlaw vs Brandon Espinosa on Feb 7th in Fenton, Missouri. Espinosa will finally get his title shot. Will he join Dynamo Pro Club Elite consisting of Ricky Cruz and Jake Dirden as the only other competitors to have held both Dynamo Pro Championships? Not if Mike Outlaw has anything to say about it. Outlaw has worked hard to achieve Dynamo Pro greatness and has vowed to be a fighting champion and intends on having his hand raised at the end of every night as THE Dynamo Pro Champion.
Rob Conway has defended his NWA Title around the world including multi trips to Japan.
The NWA returned to the Midwest in 2013 with a huge NWA World Championship match between the current NWA World Champion Rob Conway and the NWA Central States Champion Evan “Money” Morris on August 31st. For the first time Money got to feel first-hand the power and talent of one of the Champion of the World . Though the outcome was a loss, the match should provide experience for Money as he looks to defend his Central States Championship and prove to the NWA that he is deserving of another shot.
Till then Rob Conway is on the road taking on all challengers that feels if they are man enough to take on “The Iron Man” one on one.
Evan Money feels the power of the Champ Conway
In less than two weeks Rob Conway is set to defend the title against former ECW Champion and WWE, TNA star Rhino in San Antonio, Texas at “Showdown in September” on September 21st in a battle between two true monsters of the ring. This match promises to be a bruising affair that will leave even the winner beat and battered. ‘
If Conway can survive the onslaught of Rhino, life will not get any easier and he will be on his way to meet wrestling legend Liger on September, 29th in Japan in what promises to be a classic. If Conway is able to retain the title from the legend in his home country, there is one man that has his eyes set on the NWA Title and that is former 8-time NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Harley Race’s own student Trevor Murdoch.
Murdoch, a former 3-time WWE Tag Team Champion has wrestled around the world thrilling fans in the main event against the very best. Murdoch a former 4-time Harley Race owned World League Wrestling champion would be a true threat to the NWA World title, and would have extra desire to add his name to his mentor in the record books of the historic NWA.
NWA President Bruce R Tharpe and the NWA World Champion Rob Conway
Missouri Wrestling Revival caught up with the NWA President Bruce R Tharpe to ask him for his thoughts of possibility of a match between the NWA World Champion Rob Conway and Trevor Murdoch and the President was quick to say that “Both Murdoch and Patera are formidable challengers and these would both be great matches!”
Yet, Murdoch is not the only champion that is letting it be known that they have been seeking an opportunity to add their name to the NWA dynasty.
No woman has won the WLW Ladies Championship more than Miss Natural, is she poised to win the NWA Women’s Championship?
The daughter of Ken Patera, “Miss Natural” Heather Patera have been traveling the country seeking a challenge that is capable of matching up with her skills, something that very few are able to do. Trained by her father, as well as Harley Race, she has been the WLW Ladies Champion 6 times, while appearing at SHIMMER and capturing huge wins against the former NWA Women’s champion MsChif in her hometown.
Kacee Carlisle captured the NWA Women’s title from the 3 –time NWA Women’s champion Tasha Simone on October 20, 2012 and has not looked backed ever since. She is in the Pro Wrestling Illustrated for the 34th week in a row and is now number 4 in the world.
If this match was to happen the fans of the Midwest wrestling would be witness to two of the hardest hitting females in the sport today. Miss Natural would be the hunter seeking to pounce and add the NWA Women’s World title to go along the many accolades of her father Ken Patera and become the 22nd women to hold onto a title that was first held by wrestling great Mildred Burke.
Trained by the 8-time Former NWA World Champion Trevor Murdoch and Miss Natural have been capturing huge wins around the country.
If Harley Race’s most decorated students invade the NWA will anyone be able to stop them?

We are excited to be joined with Rob Conway. In the past Conway has been kind enough to be a part of our first ever MWR Trading card series at number 46. At that time he had already established himself as a champion around the world capturing the WWE Tag Team titles on three occasions.
Today Rob Conway is the reigning NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion after defeating Kahagas on March 16, 2013 in a classic match-up. MWR fans were well aware of the huge year that the NWA had in the Midwest as both Adam Pearce and Colt Cabana defended the title in several MWR promotions that we cover including Metro Pro Wrestling, 3XWrestling, MAGNUM PRO WRESTLING, All American Pro Wrestling and Dynamo Pro Wrestling.
Pearce for his impact in the Midwest and huge matches with the likes of Jeremy Wyatt, Ricky Cruz, Heath Hatton, ACH, Michael Strider and Tony Cortez as well as capturing the NWA Title for the fifth time in the Seven Levels of Hate match in Kansas City against Cabana was named the 2012 MWR Wrestler of the Year.
Unfortunately, a windfall of events saw NWA affiliates Metro Pro and Dynamo withdraw their membership and the Midwest was left without an NWA promotion as 2012 ended. 2013 has seen Central States Wrestling take hold of the territory in the name of the NWA but getting back the momentum that the NWA had has been a struggle.
The promotions leading fan favorite Evan “Money” Morris turned his back on his fans and is the current NWA Central states Champion led by manager Garrett Williams Morris will have a chance to prove to the world that he is as good as he says he is when he meets Rob Conway for the 10 pounds of Gold on August 31st in Cahokia, Illinois.
With the signature on the dotted line we are happy to speak the Champion of the World Rob Conway. Conway.
The NWA World Champion Rob Conway has words for the NWA president Bruce Tharpe – Photo courtesy of the facebook of Rob Conway
MWR: Rob , you have wrestled around the world, been in three WrestleMania’s and captured WWE Tag Team Championships with partner Sylvain Grenier. You have the work ethic to be among the best at any goal you set your mind to. You got your start with Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) , what surprised you the most about becoming a wrestler?
Conway: I was surprised at how hard the ring is and the ring ropes are made of cable. I had no idea that it was going to take years to become a real pro. I thought I was in good shape but nothing prepares you for pro wrestling
MWR: Every wrestlers dream is to make it to the WWE, What are some of your fondness memories of making it to the top?
Conway: I think we all dream of one day being in Wrestlemania’s , having action figures made of yourself, being in video games ,traveling the world and winning championships. I was fortunate to have accomplished all those things in the WWE. Winning the world tag team championships in Montreal from edge and Chris Benoit was a huge match for me and a great memory.
I also enjoyed being in the ring face to face on the microphone with The American Dream Dusty Rhodes and Harley Race and a ring full of legends at WWE Homecoming.
MWR: The NWA last year felt the pressure of some big decisions that changed their landscape after a red hot year. When the smoke cleared they were fortunate to have a man of your statue to lead the organization into the future. Since capturing the title from Kahagas in San Antonio, TX. . You have wrestled in 49 states and 11 countries but for the first time you were able to defend the NWA title in Japan. For the fans in the area that are not in the know of the importance of your victories over the summer can you describe what it was like to walk to Japan to be the NWA Worlds Champion and how were the matches.
Conway: I am very honored to be the NWA WORLDS HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION and going to defend the Championship in New Japan has been amazing. The wrestling fans in Japan are very knowledgeable and they know the importance of the NWA WORLDS HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP and they want that belt very badly. I believe they appreciate my Style of Wrestling. The reaction I get is unbelievable it feels great walking in the Champion representing the NWA AND THE USA and Leaving the Champion.
MWR: You have also retained the title over former WWE wrestler and Harley Race’s WLW Champion Chris Masters in your reign proving that weather you are in the States or overseas you are truly a World Champion. In the past all the great champions had great challengers, The Briscos has the Funks, Race had Flair and even Pearce had Cabana. If you could go back in time to meet one NWA World Champion in their prime, who is your choice?
Conway: When I got to finally Wrestle Ric Flair in a PPV match it was very special.
I would have loved to wrestle many of the great champions in the prime. Kerry Von Erich in Dallas Stadium would have been amazing. Harley Race in St. Louis. Terry Funk or Dusty Rhodes. (There are) Too many to list.
MWR: I have had honor of photographing NWA title matches ringside with Pearce and Cabana, and look forward to being the photographer for your debut as NWA Champion in St Louis. In the past I was also fortunate to work with Alliance Wrestling to support the NWA but with the fallout of major NWA promotions Metro and Dynamo Pro Wrestling I have not been able to follow the NWA in our coverage area. What does the NWA have to do to move to the next level and get your NWA title reign more respect in the states?
Photo courtesy of the facebook of Rob Conway
Conway: I think the NWA is getting more respect in the states every day. The NWA is moving forward in a positive direction with New promotions all across the world that are wanting to grow and put on great Pro Wrestling shows. Pro Wrestling fans are looking to see good in ring action. I know the NWA has a new national website and when we get a National Television show it will give pro wrestling fans a chance to see the great talent that we have in the NWA.
NWA Central States Champion Evan “Money” Morris- Photo courtesy of the facebook of Evan Money
MWR: On August 31st fans in Cahokia, Illinois you will face the NWA Central States Champion Evan Money and his snake of a manager Garrett Williams. He will have the edge of having a ton of video of your ring skills heading into your match. He will look to make history happen and become the new NWA Worlds Champion, how do you prepare for such an encounter.
Conway: As for Evan Money and Garret Williams they are willing to break rules and try just about anything to win a match so I can imagine that they will have a plan to try and win the biggest match of their lives. When the match starts I will be ready for everything. I will do whatever it takes to stay champion. You can ask Ricky Morton, Chase Stevens, Chris Masters ,Damien Wayne ect. “To be the man you have to beat the Ironman” it’s easier said than done.
MWR: The night is stacked with talent including fellow NWA Stars “Addictive & Expensive” Byron Wilcott NWA Illinois State Title Shane Fury, a Ladies Match when Jordynne Grace meets Claudia Solis, Bolt Brady, Eric Allen and much more. If you were to speak to the fans why would you tell them to come out to the Knights of Columbus on August 31st.
Conway: I look forward to meeting everyone that comes to the event I will have the NWA WORLDS HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP BELT with me and the great fans will be able to get their pictures taken with The ironman and the Ten Pounds of Gold.
Rob Conway was featured in the first ever series of MWR Trading cards with photos from Pamela Barnett.
MWR: Rob, thank you once again for taking the time to speak to MWR. We feel very strongly that it is a treat to the fans of St Louis to come out and see a man of your talents on the night. In each and every interview and conversation with fans and wrestlers about you, your name have always brought up in the highest regard as a professional and a person.. I hope that Central States Wrestling is packed for your title match against Money at the end of the month. How can wrestling fans find out more about you?
Conway: for more info about me you can check out facebook Rob Conway II. Twitter @TheRobConway, NWARINGSIDE.COM or theironmanrobconway.com
Hey there, Dubray Tallman here presenting the Third Annual MWR Sexiest Male in Wrestling Award.
In previous years we have had the great pleasure of giving the close to three foot tall trophy to Bailey Mannix and MsChif. This year it’s the guys turn to flaunt their stuff…
Below you will find a slideshow and then a poll, enjoy the scenery and then place your vote for the sexiest male…
Voting Polls begin Feb 4th and ends at 7:00 p.m. Feb 13th…The winner will be announced Valentine’s Day, Feb 14th…
During the MWR years, there have been no doubts on the skills of Brandon Espinosa.
Yet, in 2011, Brandon Espinosa experienced a breakout year. He sought out better training at OVW in Louisville and is now featured regularly on OVW TV with other future WWE stars. He arguably wrestled more matches for more companies than anybody in the area- at least 100 per year. Espinosa was a key player not only in his hometown of St. Louis but around the country
In what may have been his biggest win to date , Espinosa won the Pro Wrestling Epic 8 tournament by defeating Ace Hawkins in round one, Evan Money in round two, then in an exciting final matchup shocked the Midwest when he defeated one of the very best in ROH Superstar Jimmy Jacobs.
Throughout the year he wrestled for All American Pro Wrestling, High Voltage Wrestling, Independent Hardcore Wrestling, IWA Unlimited, IWA Productions, NWA Supreme, Pro Wrestling Epic, Metro East Championship Wrestling, & MMWA-SICW in the MWR covering area for 2011, has also wrestled for New Midwest Wrestling & NWA Dynamo in the past. In 2011, held the MMWA Jr. Heavyweight Championship, MMWA Wild World of Wrestling TV Championship (current holder), Pro Wrestling Epic Heavyweight Championship (current holder), and IWAU Club Championship but also held the Pro Wrestling Prestige US & Heavyweight Championship and TIWF Cruiserweight Championship in Tennessee, plus at one point held 4 Championships at once.
He competed in the following tournaments in 2011 – NWA Midwest X-Division Championship, AIWF Krazy 8 in North Carolina, IHW St. Louis Invitational, and OVW #1 Contender Gauntlet, reached the Finals in the SICW Classic Championship and TIWF Cruiserweight Championship Gauntlet, and won the PWE Epic 8 and the first ever St. Louis Cable TV trophy by defeating David Osborne, Phil E. Blunt and Gary Jackson.
He would contend for the WLW title held by “The Prince” Jason Jones in his very first match with the company coming up just short when Jone’s manager threw salt in the eyes of Espinosa.
Espinosa had victories over nationally known talents such as Jimmy Jacobs, El Generico, Jay Lethal, and Mike Sydal.
In 2011, Espinosa wrestled in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Wisconsin, as well as in the past in Arkansas, and Kansas.
Espinosa also made an appearance on All Worked Up (Season 3 Episode 12) when taped at a ROH event in Ohio. Also is the trainer of MWR talent and the 2011 PWI Rookie of the Year Ace Hawkins, as well as many others.
We are proud to announce that Brandon Espinosa as the 2011 MWR Wrestler of the Year.

We would like to thank Ben Simon for advertising the MWR logo during his awesome online wrestling show called St Louis Wrestling. This month Ben and I was in attendance for IHW wrestling in East St. Louis, Illinois with stars such as Evan Money and Ace Hawkins.
Please take the time to check out the matches from the evening while Ben Simon brings to you the drama, the action and suspense of IHW.

This past weekend in Mt Pulaski Illinois, Pro Wrestling Epic brought to their fans once again some of the biggest and most talented names in the sport today for an action filled evening.
Prior to the evening MWR’S Dubray Tallman caught up with “Mean” Mason Beck to get his thoughts on his upcoming match with the PWE Champion The Mississippi Madman in a Steel Chain match….in the first of many surprises as the challenger Beck was ending his promo let’s find out which former WWE star showed up.
After some big matches that saw young Evan Money defeat Jordan McEntyre,
Alexander Rudolph over power David Osbourne,
Krotch taking down Eric Allen.
We got to see the grudge match between PWE US Champ Blake Steel and former champ Brandon Aarons. A hard hitting match that is far from over as Aarons won by DQ when Steels manager Melody interfered.
Prior to intermission we were shocked to see Jimmy Jacobs, who has torn in up at Ring of Honor, , Evolve, AAW (just to name a few) came into the ring to confront Jordan McEntyre. McEntyre had came back to the ring to taunt the crowd some more for his own amusement. After he disposed of loud mouth McEntyre he let the crowd why in fact he was there know that he was signed for Pro Wrestling’s tournament on April 29th which has been named the Epic 8.
With Jacobs signed it will be truly exciting to see who else will be signed in what could very well become something truly special.
When we came back the Pro Wrestling Epic the tag team belts was vacated by former champ Mephisto and his tag partner Kurt Styles who was not in the building. In a big match up that saw the Hooligans earning the belts in a win against Brandon Espinosa and Ace Hawkins.
Afterwards Espinosa turned on his partner, even adding insult to injury when the Hooligans took part in the beat down on Hawkins. Once again the talented Jacobs came to the ring this time the man to feel his wrath was Brandon Espinosa.
In one night the PWE fans was able to see a glimpse of what is to come on April 29th.
AJ Smooth defeated a tough Knight Wagner as we geared for the main event.
In the main event we got to see Mason Beck and the Mississippi Madman go at each other in a Steel Chain match.
Throughout the match the sheer power of both men caused the chain to break loose. Blow after blow, back and forth the Madman and Beck went at it.
In the end it would be the power the Madman who would stop Beck from making the final touch of the ring post and retain his PWE Championship.
The show was over but we were far from done as the MWR Wrestler of the Night ,Evan Money had worn our t-shirt to the ring. Prior to the start of his match he threw it out to the Goldman family from Bloomington, IL. Money was more than willing to take the time to meet his young fan after the show.
After much hard work throughout the night we were honored to get words from Jimmy Jacobs as he gave us his thoughts on Pro Wrestling Epic’s Epic 8 on April 29th in Mt Pulaski Illinois.
Hello everyone it is Dubray again and in this special feature we are going to get down to the very bottom of what all girls want to know at a wrestling show. No it is not who is the champ or what happened at the last show. Yes it could be where our girlfriends got that cute dress and how did she get it so cheap.
Sorry I am getting sidetracked, what we really want to know is, who is the sexiest guy in the Midwest. I have been to over a 150 plus shows all around the Midwest the past few years and I can proudly say that I have seen most of the hard bodies in the area. While Brian is trying to get that exclusive interviews with thel ikes of the Mississippi Madman or the picture of the newly crowned Champion, my eye is on the prize.
So in honor of Valentine’s Day I have set up a poll for all the ladies in the Midwest to vote for who is exactly is the sexiest wrestler in the Midwest. The final vote will be taken on Feb 13 at 11:59
