Historic Night at NOC 3: New WLW Champion Jon Webb, Scott Steiner & Kyle Roberts WLW Tag Champions, Karim Brigante MWR MO Champion

Posted by flairwhoooooo on March 11, 2018

By Patrick Brandmeyer

Karim Brigante(w/  WLW Women’s Champion Miss Monica Passeri) d. “The” Ace Hawkins to win the MWR Missouri Title; Monica stopped Ace from walking out on the match, leading to Karim winning with the pop-up forearm smash (12:53).

”The Heartthrob” Jaden Roller(w/ “Can-Do” Curtis Dearling) d. “The Wrestler For The People” Rex Fults. “The Mouth Of The South” Jimmy Hart stopped Curtis from using his briefcase as a weapon, but the outside distraction allowed Roller to blindside Rex with his own nightstick behind the referee’s back for the cheap win (11:10).

Jayden Dominic Rose d. Jack Gamble in a strap match to retain the Jr. Heavyweight Title. Gamble nearly won, but Rose spit mist in Gamble’s eyes before tagging the four turnbuckles for the win (16:38).

Miss Monica Passeri d. Savanna Stone with a tilt-a-whirl takedown into a Fujiwara armbar to retain the Women’s Title (8:56); Stacey O’Brien was the special guest referee. After the match, Stacey decked Monica and nearly left with the belt before Monica got it back and chased her out of the ring.

-”The Hybrid Ace” Jon Webb d. “The Legacy” Leland Race(w/ “Can-Do” Curtis Dearling) in a no-DQ match to win the Heavyweight Title; Race missed a swing with a chair and it rebounded off the top rope into his face. Webb capitalized with the Asai DDT for the title-winning pinfall (20:48).

”Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner & Kyle Roberts d. “Superstar” Steve Fender & Brandon Espinosa to win the Tag Team Titles. Fender & Espy attacked Steiner with chairs and destroyed his leg before the bell, leaving Roberts to fight alone for most of the match. As Roberts got an opening, Steiner limped to ringside and threw in a chair, which Roberts used to take out Espy with a Van Daminator behind the referee’s back! That allowed Roberts to pin Espy to win the belts for his unlikely tag team (16:17)!

MWR Missouri Champion Ace Hawkins Prepares to Tour the U.K.

Posted by flairwhoooooo on October 2, 2017

Can Ace Hawkins remain the the MWR MO Champion this coming weekend at Harley Race’s World League Wrestling when he defends his title against Jack Gamble in Troy, Missouri? If so this match may prepare him for his upcoming tour of the U.K. because Gamble has toured Japan for NOAH with multiple years attending the WLW/WWE/NOAH/ROH camps in the years past. Gamble is formally one half of the MWR Tag Team of the Year recipient with partner Jon Webb, so there is a great chance that Hawkins could be boarding the plane without the belt in hand.

Regardless of what happens, Hawkins is one of the truly exciting young stars in the country. Fans of the U.K are about to see why many people believe that he often has the match of the night when looks to take on all challengers in a huge tour.

2016 Missouri Wrestling Revival Tag Team of the Year – Alpha Class (Danny Adams & Paco Gonzalez)

Posted by flairwhoooooo on January 18, 2017

Trained by former Ring of Honor World Champion Michael Elgin, Danny Adams and Paco Gonzalez, came together to form the tag team Alpha Class and quietly picked up huge wins in 2016. In January, the duo picked up a big win against former Dynamo Pro Wrestling Tag Team Champions Shawn Santel and Mauler McDarby otherwise known as the Professionals. They would challenge the DPW Champions High Level Enterprise, Jon Webb and Jack Gamble coming up just a little short, but that would not deter them in the least.

While making their way to Proving Ground Pro they picked up a huge win by defeating the much larger and powerful team of Blake Belakis and Nate Redwing, while backing that up with a win against Craig Mitchell & Kenny Sutra.

In August at Pro Wrestling Resurgence Alpha Class picked up a an epic win against two of the most successful tag teams in the Midwest in a triple threat match with The Submission Squad(Evan Gelistico & Pierre Abernathy) and 2.0 (A.J. Williams & Da’Marius Jones).

Proving that that win was not a fluke Alpha Class upset the Besties in the World, Davey Vega and Mat Fitchett. Less than a month later they not only defeated The Carnivore Club (Blake Belakis & Nate Redwing) to win the Proving Ground Pro Tag Titles, but successfully defeated them in a rematch for the title.

Back in St. Louis for Dynamo Pro Wrestling they would lose a hard fought title match against Straps Down University (Keon Option & Justin D’Air) before returning back to Proving Ground Pro to retain the titles against the Brother Reed & Micky Muscles. In the month of November they would retain their PGP Tag titles against the 3-time MWR Tag Team of the Year recipients Devin and Mason Cutter, the Hooligans.

Danny Adams and Paco Gonzalez proved that with great training, hard work and dedication they have a bright future and start the year off as Proving Ground Pro Wrestling Tag Team Champions but now they also lay claim as the 2016 MWR Tag Team of the Year.

Look for an exclusive MWR Tag Team of the Year Alpha Class  artwork honoring her for their achievement from acclaimed artist Dartallion Allen Jr. in the future.

After reviewing the footage from October 21st in the HRW Championship Match, it’s obvious that Tony Kozina’s foot was on the rope before the 3 count!

Therefore, after having two great matches against the Champion and there yet to be a clear winner, Tony Kozina absolutely deserves another rematch!

However, since I had already signed the Championship match for December 2nd, prior to October 21st, it can’t be then.

After Talking with Tony, he said that he doesn’t want to make excuses and doesn’t want anything handed to him.

Per his request, Mr. Kozina will be in a number one contenders match on December 2nd, so that he can earn his way back into Title contention!

His opponent will be named next week!

I can now officially announce the Championship match for “Final Fight”!

Champion, Mike Sydal will have his toughest challenge to date as he will defend against a former ROH World Champion / former TNA – Impact Wrestling World Tag Team Champion, who is known around the World as one of The Best Technical Wrestlers alive today!
