Missouri Wrestling Revival was in attendance for the inaugural High Risk Wrestling event as they crown an HRW Champion as well as an HRW Tag Team Champions.
In the main event the 2-time MWR Tag Team of the Year the Hooligans (Devin and Mason Cutter) defeated one of their arch rivals Team Overkill (Matt Cage and Christian Rose) in an exciting HRW 3 Stages of Hell battle that escalated throughout the fairground.
A.C.H. earned the HRW Championship by delivering a punishing German suplex onto high flyer C.J. Esparza to enter the final 3 way match elimination style match against the talented Blake Belakis and Nick Brubaker. The fans of Belleville, Illinois were treated to a 3 way battle of high flying, vicious strikes and submissions as the three men gave it their all to come out on top.
A.C.H took out Brubaker with the same move that took out Esparza, the German Suplex. Belakis quickly struck from behind A.C.H., but the speed and the ability to improvise allowed A.C.H. to maneuver Belakis into a small package and lay claim as the first ever High Risk Champion.
Brian & Lori Davis had recently lost everything in a house fire, including their seven-year-old son. Fortunately, they had friends who were ready to lend a helping hand.
Brian, Lori, and Brian’s sister Lindsay were in attendance for St. Louis Anarchy’s Benefit Bash in Alton, Illinois. Members of the Anarchy roster were friends of the family and set up the event to raise money for the Davises; all of the proceeds from ticket sales and merchandise raffles went directly to the family.
As usual, St. Louis Anarchy presented a loaded lineup; Ring Of Honor stars Michael Elgin, Kyle O’Reilly, and A.C.H. were on the card as well as west-coast standout B-Boy. Several competitors made their debuts for the promotion and others made their returns after long absences.
Some people on the show were more concerned about their own matters, one of those being ring announcer/manager Greg Jovi. He had returned as a ring announcer for Yuletide Terror, but he still harbored deep-seated resentment toward the Anarchy fans. He lashed out at the fans in attendance at the start of the show before being run off by the Hooligans.
The Hooligans fended off a strong effort by the Two-Star Heroes (Matt Knicks & Chris Castro) and vowed that they would give the same treatment to the Young Bucks on March 1st. The fans in attendance had less than flattering sentiments regarding Matt & Nick Jackson.
Brandon Espinosa was in the rare position of being a fan favorite against “The Money” Matt Cage. Cage offered Espinosa some cash to “go down”, but Espinosa misinterpreted Cage’s intentions at first. Espinosa took the payoff but attacked Cage anyway to kick-start the bout; Espy went on to win a tough battle.
Chaos was the order of the day in a six-way dance featuring newcomers to the Anarchy roster. “Showtime” Bradley Charles and Geek Singh formed a temporary alliance to eliminate the competition, but SBC double-crossed Singh by rolling him up for a surprise pin. That left Charles one-on-one with Alex Castle, but Castle would emerge victorious as he continues to gain fan support in SLA.
The fans recognized Jeff O’Shea as “Not Matt Cage”; O’Shea had filled in for Cage as Castle’s tag partner at a previous show. That brought Cage himself to the ring to shake hands with his counterpart. O’Shea and Mallaki Matthews took on the duo of Alex The Big Owl and Gorgeous Jordan Lacey; The Big Owl showed a more aggressive side in picking up the win.
B-Boy had once teamed up with Homicide and his resume includes experience with IWA Mid-South, Wrestling Society X, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, and Jersey All-Pro Wrestling. However, this was his first appearance in the St. Louis area and he was facing a crowd favorite in A.C.H. A.C.H. has been making a name for himself in ROH as well as other national promotions…despite the difference in overall experience, A.C.H. was able to get the tapout win over “The New Age Punisher” and earn his respect!
Mike Sydal showed off his yoga-enhanced flexibility on a few occasions, but it wasn’t quite enough to take down the popular Bolt Brady; Bolt got the win after several innovative maneuvers.
Despite Michael Elgin‘s national reputation, the fans were solidly behind Jojo Bravo in his quest to topple the powerhouse. Jojo did his best to wear down the “Unbreakable” one with sleeperholds, but Elgin finally defeated him after a turnbuckle powerbomb followed by his signature spiral bomb. It appeared Bravo had impressed Elgin, but Elgin mowed him down with a clothesline after raising his beaten opponent’s hand.
With a title shot at Gerald James in his future, Kyle O’Reilly sought to pick up some momentum heading into the Gateway To Anarchy weekend. Evan Gelistico was far from a mere “stepping stone” in O’Reilly’s journey and matched the current Ring Of Honor Tag Team Champion move for move. In the end, O’Reilly got the victory and now looks to capture the gold in St. Louis Anarchy!
Adam Raw returned to SLA to face Ricky Starks...with the recent trend of “old school” in wrestling, the two used several moves that you wouldn’t normally see in an Anarchy ring like the bearhug and iron claw. Raw got the win with a familiar-looking combination of moves: A big boot to the face followed by a legdrop off the ropes.
The main event was a wild brawl right out of the gate as Davey Vega and Mat Fitchett rushed the ring to battle with Anarchy Champion Gerald James and Jeremy Wyatt. Dorian Victor wasn’t above getting physically involved so it was a three-on-two situation at times. Despite the odds, Fitchett managed to plant James with a cradle piledriver to pick up the win over the champion!
The night wasn’t quite over as James, Wyatt, and Victor went on the attack once again. Greg Jovi ran into the ring to attack his former protege Fitchett and that brought out the Hooligans. Alex The Big Owl and Jordan Lacey weren’t far behind…but out of nowhere, Lacey turned on his tag team partner! At the end of the show, Lacey stood tall alongside James, Wyatt, Victor, and Jovi.
While the events of the wrestling show were memorable for the fans in attendance, it was special in a different way for the Davises…their friends at St. Louis Anarchy had put on a great show and given them some much-needed financial support in a tough time of their lives.
Missouri Wresting Revival.com was on hand to witness the first ever Beyond Wrestling tapings in the MWR Coverage area in St. Louis at the Dynamo Pro Gym . Beyond Wrestling is an innovated approach to the world of pro wrestling that had become the rave among many fans around the world. The exciting card featured many of the top young wrestling talents in the Midwest including the Zero 1 USA Champion Jonathan Gresham, Ring of Honor Superstar Michael Elgin, Devin and Mason Cutter otherwise known as the Hooligans, Evan Gelistico ,Jake Dirden, Alexander Rudolph , Christian Rose, Davey Vega, Jake Parnell, Bolt Brady, JoJo Bravo, Dave Vaughn, Ricky Starks, Blake Steel, Brandon Gallagher, Jeff O’Shea as well as one of the gutsiest matches I had ever seen by a women wrestler when Heidi Lovelace went to a war with Tripp Cassidy in a match that you will have to see to believe.
As soon as the matches come to youtube we will be sure to give you the information on how you can get a copy, till then let’s take a quick look at what Beyond Wrestling is and some action photos of this historic night.
The concept behind Beyond Wrestling is very simple – wrestlers wrestling for wrestlers. Beyond Wrestling is not a wrestling promotion; at least not in the typical sense. Live events are closed to the public, creating an atmosphere impossible to replicate. The goal of Beyond Wrestling is to foster competition amongst those who value self-expression, craftsmanship, and camaraderie more than popularity, financial stability, and tradition. For a professional wrestler, Beyond Wrestling is the platform on which to make the ultimate artistic expression.
“Look, Ma. No fans!”
The progressive presentation of Beyond Wrestling – where fans are prohibited from attending the experimental live events – has attracted rookies from across the globe. Without a locker room, every wrestler remains ringside to dissect each contest. This creates an unprecedented atmosphere encouraging growth and reinforcing the spirit of competition. All of the combatants are forced to perform to the best of their ability in order to win the contest as well as the support of their toughest critics – other wrestlers.

2011 MWR Tag Team of the Year The Kentucky Buffet Alex Castle and Matt Cage- Photo Credit Brian Kelley
Missouri Wrestling Revival caught up with Alex Castle and Matt Cage at New Midwest Wrestling recently as they look to continue their stranglehold over the Midwest. Cage and Castle better known as the Kentucky Buffet had a phenomenal year last year as they twice captured the IWAU Tag team titles, and though tensions heated up between the two leading into a match between friends turned ugly at times.
Still the KYB was able to make headlines with great matches against some of the best talent of the Midwest.
It was a great honor that we were to present their 2011 MWR Tag Team of the Year plaques.
Yet what did the 2010 MWR Tag team of the year Attitude Inc. have to think about the KYB winning the award for 2011?
Sure you know about the past MWR Wrestlers of the Years and champions at each promotions but what young stars should you be on the lookout for this coming year. Here we give you 12 for 2012 for you to be on the lookout for. Some are close to be among the choices for Wrestlers of the year real soon while others are knocking at the door to be a force in the future.
As far as the wrestlers who didn’t make the list. Use this article as motivation to outshine all twelve of these fine young talents in 2012.
Let the fun begin in the squared circles around the Midwest.
1) Serenity
Serenity is known for wowing the crowd with her dazzling colors and beautiful smile. Underneath the surface, however, lies the heart and desire of a true professional wrestler. Fear is only a four letter word to this young lady as she isn’t afraid to mix it up with anyone, male or female, inside the squared circle. Anyone who has stood across from her in the ring will soon tell you that Serenity means business and if you don’t believe them, try it. You’ll find out for yourself.
Outlook: How much impact that she will have in 2012 in the MWR coverage area depends on how often she wrestles in the 15 promotions that we cover as promoters in up north have taken notice. Her looks has caught the eyes of promoters and her work rate and desire to be the best has shown moments of greatness at times. She finished the year wrestling at SICW against MsChif in the St Louis area for the first time in years.
Here is the kicker, this talented young wrestler is only twenty years of age and wrestled MsChif at the young age of 18. That’s right, she is only twenty, and has charisma to spare. She will only be getting better and looks to be one of the top stars in wrestling for many years to come. Look for her to make her way in SHIMMER sooner than later.
2) Christian Rose
Rose works over Danny Cannon- Tim Dunahee
Rose had a very good 2011 but everyone at MWR feels as if the best is yet to come. A current AAPW Tag Team Champion with Matt Cage have been active at IWAU, NMW , SLA and AAPW. Quality promo skills keeps the fans attention while his in ring action keeps him in every match. Rose could easily be a MWR Wrestler of the year down the road as he has been gaining respect from his peers and a threat to his opponents.
3) Bull Bronson
Bronson may be raw, let me say that again Bull is very raw but very few men in the Midwest is as big as the HUGE AAPW star. He won a big 5-man scramble match at AAPW’S Main event and was very impressive as he picked up the win on AAPW regular Playboy Paul Rose.
A manager in this stage of his career could do wonders for him in 2012. Some training from Harley Race’s Wrestling Academy could prepare him on how to deal with other powerhouses as Brian Breaker and Jason Jones who both know how to use their strength and leverage to work to blow up a man the size of Bronson.
4) LaMarcus Clinton
Loved by the fans, LMC will have to limit these mistakes that he made in Hillsdale,MO for the fans if he hopes to make it to the next level...Still Brandon Espinosa is one of the masterminds of fooling even the best and here he played possum, then moved at the last moment. (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)
He is quite possibly the most popular wrestler at MMWA-SICW other than Gary Jackson. Clinton is high flying and exciting but this is also high risk thus making his win loss record inconsistent. Needs to put on some weight to be a true threat to a main title at this time in his career. Maybe a tag team partner for now would give him time to gain the mass that he needs to be a title contender. Still 2012 looks to be a year with many chances to succeed for Clinton. That is if he can overcome a sophomore slump
5) American Bulldogs
The American Bulldogs with manager Skyler Pierce.
Maddog McDowell has won tag team titles with multiple partners in many promotions but you can tell that he has a special place in his heart for rookie Jonathan West. McDowell has true power that has allowed him to contend for singles titles and grudge matches with some of the best in the sport. West has been like a sponge, taking in all the info and advice that McDowell will give him. Their feud with Chad Mylans MMA was a highlight for fans at 3XW for almost all of 2011.
Quality matches on the road at PWE against the PWE Champions the Hooligans showcased West at his very best. Still the inexperience of the Bulldogs would cost them during the match as the Hooligans proved once again to the Midwest that they are arguably still the standard for tag teams in the Midwest.
6) Jaysin Strife
How does one of the very best in the Midwest get on this list?
Honestly, he just hasn’t been able to get going at full speed for some time. He is one of the best wrestlers today that many fans have never heard of. A tour overseas in 2011 limited his coverage as well as working towards making Magnum Pro Wrestling a force in Iowa. Strife has bookings for 3XW and PWE and if the fans are lucky at Metro ProWrestling he will become a regular there as well. In fact I am still waiting for my Jaysin Strife vs “Superstar” SteveFender match. Any promotion that wants a main event player added to their roster should contact Strife soon.
7) ACH
ACH puts his body on the line against Gary J- Photo credit Texas Anarchy
Many fans feel as if the “The Last Dragon” is a superstar sooner than later. Innovated in his moves fans at St Louis Anarchy have been raving about the young star all last year. In December at St Louis Anarchy, he would rain on the parade of Jeremy Wyatt as he returned to LWA/Anarchy in a losing effort in what many fans stated was a great great match. Fans at Metro Pro Wrestling be sure to get tickets for the Feb 4th show as Wyatt and ACH will meet once again.. ACH will also be heading to PWE in Mt Pulaski as he will be taking on Jordan McEntyre during a qualifying match to enter the 2011 PWE Epic 8 tournament that was won in 2010 by the 2011 MWR Wrestler of the YearBrandon Espinosa.
Then on February in Granite City he will return to SLA to take on TJ Perkins. Like Rose, ACH is poised to become a MWR Wrestler of the Year if the cards deal them the proper way in the future.
8) Tyler Priegel
Priegel is poised to make a run for the NMW title that has been owned by Ryan Phoenix- Photo Credit Brian Kelley
Many fans smirk at his nickname “the Dodgeball Superstar“, but Tyler Priegel is no one to take lightly. What makes Priegel so dangerous is how methodical he is in the ring. No wasted movement and always going forward. He is a true threat right now to NMW Champion Ryan Phoenix’s title. Like Serenity though, will Priegel make his way to the MWR coverage area enough to make the impact for us to see? We certantly hope so.
9) Mat Fitchett
Mat Fittchet has not had it easy for a young star. _Photo Credit Texas Anarchy
Nicknamed “Flippy Sh%T”, Fitchett has been trained by local legend Dingo and former NWA Missouri Champ DaveyVega. Fitchett has been earning rave reviews in Texas with Texas Anarchy and ST Louis Anarchy backing down from no one. Was honored a Chikara spot for the Young Lions cup, in 2011 and was very impressive. Fitchett is another wrestler that MWR Promoters should be on the phone to try to get a spot for him on their card. Exciting and electrifying, he always brings a 100 % and looks to be a star for years to come
10) Heath Hatton
Heath Hatton had a strong 2012, he was one half of the AAPW tag Team Champions with Curly. He made appearances for Harley Race’s WLW and TNA’S developmental league OVW in Kentucky. Hatton would have to go at it alone when Curly was fired from AAPW thus leaving him alone to defend the titles against Matt Cage and Christian Rose, and though Hatton fought with true heart the mountain was too tall to overcome as arch rival “The Golden Boy” GregAnthony assisted Cage and Rose to help them became the AAPW Tag Team Champs.
He started 2012 off just right by defeating Anthony convincingly at AAPW’S Main event. Would love to take on AAPW Champ Edmund McGuire but with the two being among the top two fan favorites right now he may have to wait a bit. That may be a blessing because right now he may not be ready for the champ but with further training and matches around the Midwest by the end of 2012, he may be the man at AAPW.
11) Lucy Mendez
Midwest dream girl can wrestle as good as she can model.
She is The Current WLW Ladies Champion, and yes the ratings soar when she enters the ring for Metro Pro Wrestling whether it is as a valet for Domino Rivera or in action herself. In 2011 she feuded with the 2011 MWR Female Wrestler of the Year Stacey O’Brien who just barely won the award over “The Latino Princess”
So why is she on this list?
It’s simple really.
Mendez just started training late 2008 and has already won two WLW Ladies Championships. With looks that kill and the desire to be the best she has been on the search for the top competition in the Midwest. Mendez has already been in the ring with the likes of O’Brien, Miss Natural, Amy Hennig and MsChif. We would love nothing more than SHIMMER to give her an opportunity to showcase her skills taught to her by the greatest of all greats Harley Race. She deserves a chance to earn her respect among here peers by meeting the very best women wrestlers in the world today at Shimmer. Women such as the CHEERLEADER MELISSA, SARA DEL REY and Rachel Summerlyn could bring her to the next level in 2012.
12) Joey O’Riley
The new IWAU Champ Joey O'Riely - Photo Credit Tim Dunahee
It is easy to add O’Riley to the list many will tell us after he had defeated IWAU Champion Matt Cage in a ladder match this past Saturday in Olney Illinois. True, but it is one thing to win a title it’s another thing to hold onto the belt and with Cage who is still in the mix for another shot, it may be harder to retain that what it was to capture the title.
His youth and focused will be tested early on as he is now the hunted. With that said this is a blessing for young O’Riley so that it can prepare himself on what it is to be a Champion. The pressure of winning a belt is now over.
O’Riley is another wrestler who is still raw in his skills and in 2011 he made appearances for New Midwest Wrestling in tag action. While he is the king of his home base at IWAU it will be interesting to see how he deals with adversity. His next opponent is scheduled to be Cash Bordin, a guy who will do whatever it takes to get the belt but if he is to be among the best O’Riely is going to have to make quick work of another fellow young star in Bordin.
Wrestling fans in Illinois should be thrilled about this coming Saturday’s All American Pro Wrestling’s “Main Event”. Let’s take a look at just 10 reasons why you should take the trip to Marion, Illinois whether you are from Marion or you are a fan that lives in St Louis. In no specific order and to be honest I could have done more than 10 reasons why you should join us.
1) First Show of the year! With the weather looking to be great, why not take the kids out to the park during the day then come in when it gets dark and cold as all of your favorite All American Pro WrestlingStars action is sure to be hard hitting and heated. Let’s watch "3G" Eric Wayne take young Jay Spade on a trip on pain.(Photo Credit Brian Kelley)
Let’s watch "3G" Eric Wayne take young Jay Spade on a trip on pain.(Photo Credit Brian Kelley)
2) “3G” Eric Wayne to meet former WWE, ROH and a NWA World Champion – The third generation AAPW star Eric Wayne was set to meet ROH World Champion Davey Richards this past fall. Due to contract issues that match never happen. Wayne has been in the sport since 2006 and has had a taste of TNA and WWE in past. A win against the respected and VERY entertaining “BOOM BOOM” Colt Cabana could send a message to AAPW management that he is ready for a rematch against AAPW Champion Edmund “Livewire” McGuire that is if you don’t see him on your TV on Monday or Thursday nights.
3) “The Generic Luchador” El Generico vs. “The Man Gravity Forgot” PAC– Both of these wrestlers have traveled around the world. They have met in the past in thrilling battles that fans have raved about. Let’s take a look at
4) FREE STUFF: One lucky fan in attendance will walk away with two tickets to the WWE Royal Rumble in St. Louis The fan who travels the farthest to attend Main Event will receive an AAPW prize pack.
Christopher Hagstrom and the AAPW staff has been proactive in building a close relationship with their fans in 2011, in 2012 they will be running on all cylinders with great matches to start the year along with awesome promotions for their fans at the shows, on their website, and on facebook. (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)
MWR Fans be sure to be a fan of AAPW on FACEBOOK as they have been doing prize packs when they reach 800, 900 and 1,000 fans. Be a part of the growth of one of the Midwest hottest promotions in 2012.
Pokerface. (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)
5) Pokerface Open Challenge– One of the hottest stars in AAPW is the undefeated Pokerface. How good is he? In October, he was able to get a victory from the 2011 MWR Wrestler of the Year Brandon Espinosa in an exciting match-up.
The All American feels the explosive knees from Pokerface. Can anyone step to and defeat Pokerface? Join us this Saturday to find out. (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)
While MWR has not been liked his arrogance and attitude towards fans we cannot deny the talent this young star possess. Who will step to meet the challenge of Pokerface? Be there to cheer on the man who will look to end the undefeated streak!
Heath Hatton and Curly tenure as a AAPW tag team Champs has come to an end. Can Heath Hatton fly alone to success?? (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)
6) Bad blood and grudges boil over as Heath Hatton looks to get revenge on “Golden Boy” Greg Anthony. Heath Hatton is one star that MWR has on the radar in 2012, in 2011 he along with fan favorite Curly won the AAPW Tag titles and feuded with Anthony and his tag partner “Serial Thriller” Shane Rich. Each man would find themselves alone as an injury would take out Shane Rich, while AAPW would fire Curly but this would not cool off the tension between these two.
Hatton has been on the search to work with the very best in the past couple of months as he has made appearances with both Harley Race’s WLW and Ohio Valley Wrestling. This could be his biggest match to date (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)
Last month Heath Hatton was forced to defend them alone against Team Overkill, and showed true heart in his efforts against Matt Cage and Christian Rose but it would be Greg Anthony who would cost him his tag team titles.
Now Hatton is ready to teach the veteran Anthony a lesson in respect. MWR has always enjoy Anthony here with his own article aptly named “The Golden Circle” in the past we do not condone his actions to this rising star and will be hoping that Hatton can do his wish.
In the past the Golden Boy Greg Anthony has used illegal help from his good friend Shane Rich, here rookie Aiden Young gets blasted from Anthony after Rich harassed him throughout the match. (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)
That may be easier said than done, Anthony who will be the first to tell you that he “Is the best of the best” and has the credentials to prove it. Down south he has been honored by the former website Rasslin Riot as the 2011 Wrestler of the Year, one half of a former Tag Team of the Year and been involved in the 2011Match of the year.
Shane Rich has been injured and has joined the AAPW announcing crew, but Anthony knows all the tricks in the book and looks to make life hell for the young rising star Heath Hatton. (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)
Anthony has formed a successful tag team with NWA/WCW star Bobby Eatonwith manager Brian Thompson are called Midnight Gold.
In singles and tag competition he has captured wins against a who’s who in the sport including Jerry Lawler, Jerry Lynn, Buff Bagwell, Jay Lethal, Bill Dundee, Rock N Roll Express, Reggie B Fine, New Age Outlaws, Billy Gunn, Tracy Smothers, Flash Flanagan, and JC ICE.
..
Mike Masters!! (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)
7) Kevin Hunsperger needs your support!! MWR fans know Kevin as the play-by-play commentator for “Collision” and anchor of “News 3 This Morning” on WSIL TV. A great guy who has a true love for the sport. On the other side of the ring will be “The Masterpiece” Mike Masters.
Masters was on a roll early ion in his match with “Dynamite” Seth Knight but came out on the losing end, will look to take his frustrations out and bully our friend and AAPW announcer Kevin Hunsperger. (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)
Masters is a perennial threat to the AAPW Championship in the past and pound for pound one of the best wrestlers in the Midwest. So how did Kevin get involved in a match with the AAPW Superstar Mike Master’s? Let’s take a look.
The 2011 MWR Female Wrestler Stacey O’Brien was so excited and appreciative when she was offered to be a part of AAPW’S “Main Event” when we saw her around Christmas time. Yet one thing is AAPW did not make it easy in the least when they brought in her former rival Rebecca Raze. (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)
8) See the 2011 MWR Female Wrestler of the Year Stacey O’Brien in action and receive her plaque from MWR’S Diva Dubray Tallman: It has been over four years since AAPW has hosted a women’s match inside the square circle. The fans asked for their return and AAPW has delivered with one of the Midwest finest Stacey O’Brien. O’Brien was the first ever MWR Female of the Year and has returned from injury to regain her spot as the top women in the Midwest with great matches against Lucy Mendez, Santana G, Miss Natural and MsChif.
While this award may be a great honor for the hard working woman who now trains with Harley Race at the Harley Race Wrestling Academy in Eldon Missouri, she now has a target on her back. Just as rap legend 2Pac sang during his peak “All eye’s on me” O’Brien is now the hunted.
Rebecca Raze
The first young women to try to make a name for herself will be a former foe, Rebecca Raze. It has been over 4 years since the two have met but one thing is for sure that they do not like each other in the least. The name Rebecca Raze could be one that you are not aware of but don’t discount her skills and her desire to knock O’Brien off the top of the women’s division.
During the night we are honored that AAPW has invited us to present the “Boston Brawler” with her 2011 MWR Female Wrestler of the Year Plaque and support women’s wrestling at AAPW.
9) See tag team wrestling the way it was meant to be: While newly crowned AAPW Tag Team Champions Matt Cage and Christian Rose of Team Overkill used some legal loopholes to get out of a title defense at Main Event AAPW has offered the fans a great tag match that could have ramifications for the rest of 2011.

The former 3-time AAPW Tag Team Champions the Money Makin Jam Boyz the Mississippi Madman and KC Jackson take on Roscoe Dwayne Harris and Jimmy Wayne Fargo otherwise known as the Convoy. Will the weight and power of Harris and Fargo be an advantage against the MMJB’s Jackson or will the Jackson be able to wear out the fearsome twosome and set them up for the Madman’s finisher the Fifth floor?
The winner of this match at AAPW’S Main event will earn a tag team title shot in the future.
10) Two years ago, Missouri Wrestling Revival announced the very first MWR Trading Cards. The set was produced to bring recognition to the wrestlers in the Midwest and the MWR site. From the very first featuring the tag team the Northstar Express, we have done our best to deliver you the fans with a great card that catches your favorites wrestlers in action.
At the end of the year we were at #60 in the set that includes the current Ring of Honor World Champion Davey Richards, former champ Eddie Edwards, Jimmy Jacobs and MsChif to former WWE Stars and Champions Trevor Murdock, U-Gene) EUGENE), former D-X member Road Dogg along with Hall of famers such as Larry Zbyszko, Dave Hebner and Larry Matysik.
With #60 we were excited to have the one and only “Generic Luchador” El Generico to be a part of this wonderful collection. To the best of my knowledge this will be the first time that MWR fans will have a chance to get their card autographed from the masked man himself in the MWR coverage area. El Generico is one of the most traveled wrestlers in the sport as he is a star with Ring of Honor and has taken tours around the world so fans do not miss this rare chance to see him in action and have you #60 MWR El Generico card signed.
Though we are always excited to add ROH and former WWE, WCW, and NWA stars to the set, our favorites are the stars of the Midwest that thrill us each and every weekend in the Midwest.
Many of these men and women are the future of the sport as during our two years we have featured two Pro Wrestling Illustrated Rookies of the years in three cards. First we have the 2009 PWI Rookie of the Year as well as the 2010 MWR Wrestler of the Year Mike Sydal. Sydal the brother of WWE Star Evan Bourne was featured in two cards, first the sold out card of #5 and then we provided an update of Sydal with the #37.
The most recent wrestler to be name the Pro Wrestling Illustrated Rookieof the Year is Ace Hawkins. We were excited to have this high flying star as the man who graced the # 55 card.
Both of these men have been in action at AAPW in the past but will not be there next week but you will be able to get your hands on the following cards and hopefully have them signed from them during the evening.
#38 Stacey O’Brien and # 43 The Mississippi Madman are two of our favorites. The Madman has been both the AAPW Champion as well as an AAPW Tag Champion.
One of the most charismatic wrestlers in the Midwest, he is always a fan favorite. This will be a great opportunity to meet all three of these stars to have your cards signed.
We love him here at MWR as does the AAPW faithful , he is the AAPW Champion with a familiar foe breathing down his throat, “The Old school Warrior” Ax Allwardt.(Photo Credit Brian Kelley)

That is 10 reasons and we never did get to the main event between AAPW Champ Edmund McGuire and “Old School Warrior”Ax Allwardt. This match that could be featured on any main event in the country today and it will be right here in the Midwest next weekend.
Jay Spade has no fear as he goes to the rafters to get an edge. Spade is just one of the young stars that you will be seeing for years to come in the sport. (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)
Always one to love himself, it is the Playboy Paul Rose. Rose never fails to entertain us and will be in action this weekend!! (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)
Plus stars such as Jay Spade, Bull Bronson, and “Playboy” Paul Rose will be in action during the night as well . So join MWR for a fun filled night full of action as well as many surprises during the night.
