Heroes, Villains, legends, Two Rings and over 800 Fans Filled the Belle-Clair Fairgrounds & Expo Center

Posted by flairwhoooooo on November 9, 2021

Photos and write up by editor and owner Brian Kelley

SICW fans by now have to be spoiled. For years Herb Simmons have brought in a who’s who of wrestling greats from years past to go along with their roster of talent that have wrestled around the world. Even with their rich history of huge events SICW may have presented their biggest show in their history.

On October 30th the date had been set to have a trunk –n-treat, a hayride and a meet and greet with wrestling greats Dr. D” David Schultz, “The Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart, Jerry “The King” Lawler, Sgt. Slaughter, Greg “The Hammer” Valentine, The Rock ‘N’ Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson), Demolition (Ax & Smash), Cowboy Bob Orton and Haku.

Over 800 fans around the country came early to get their autographs.  Elite wrestling historians, photographers and fellow promoters were in the house for such an historic occasion. Not only would the stars of SICW be in action but Jerry Lawler, The Rock ‘N’ Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson), and the man many feel is the baddest man to ever set foot into the ring, Haku challenging SICW Classic Champion Attila Khan for the title.

The wrestling night started off with the National Anthem, an introduction of the legends with Dr. Drew Abbenhaus and Herb Simmons to a rocking crowd.

MWR is proud to present with you, photos of the historic night that cumulated into one of the bloodiest, hardest hitting matches that we ever covered when Attila Khan not only survived but conquered Haku in the main event. The outcome sent shockwaves through the wrestling world and within days the NWA signed Attila to meet the NWA World Champion Trevor Murdoch for the title in St. Louis, Missouri on December 1st.

Tito Santana Maintains Order at SICW – Feb 15 SICW Photo Recap

Posted by flairwhoooooo on February 17, 2020

By Patrick Brandmeyer

The War Machine(w/ Travis Cook) d. Richard Shaw with the heart punch (1:15). “Your Canadian Hero” Sean Vincent attacked War Machine afterwards but War Machine fought him off and laid him out with the heart punch.

-Billy McNeil d. “The Mountain Man” Jake Prater after the top-rope elbowdrop to the back (7:13).

-“The Son Of The South” Frankie D d. Rob Kowalski by DQ when Kowalski brought Frankie D’s chair into the ring and shoved the referee (7:20). Frankie D bashed Kowalski with the chair, but the big man shrugged off the abuse and struck Frankie with his own chair.

-“Superstar” Steve Fender(w/ Travis Cook) d. Bobby D with the brainbuster (10:54).

-Ax Allwardt d. “The Butcher” Damian Blade by DQ when Blade threw Ax over the top rope (7:05).

-Mauler McDarby d. “The Real Deal” Chris Kade after Kowalski tripped Kade during a re-entry suplex, holding his foot as McDarby fell on top for the pin (9:56). Cowboy Bob Orton saved his trainee from a post-match attack, setting up a tag match for the March 21st show.

-“The Night Train” Gary Jackson & Gil Rogers d. “The Talented” Ken Kasa & King Christopher Hargas(w/ Travis Cook) to retain the Tag Team Titles. Kasa & Hargas initially won when Hargas hit Rogers with a chain behind the referee’s back and Kasa got the pin (7:14), but Flash Flanagan told the referee what happened and the match was restarted. The champs retained when Rogers kneelifted Kasa into Jackson’s subset flip for the three-count (3:49 of the restart, 11:03 total). Chaos erupted afterwards with Kasa, Hargas, Fender, & War Machine beating down Jackson, Rogers, & Flanagan…they finally took their leave when Billy McNeil hit the ring with a chair.

-“The King Of Chaos” Ricky Cruz d. “Volatile” Curtis Wylde(w/ Wyldefyre & Rob Kowalski) to retain the Classic Title; Tito Santana was the special guest referee. Wyldefyre was ejected from ringside early; when Kowalski blatantly interfered, Tito fought him off before ejecting him as well. When Wylde confronted Tito, Cruz rolled him up for the pin (10:39). Wylde attacked Tito from behind after the bell, but Tito fended him off and put him out with a sleeperhold…leading to Cruz using Wylde’s own hairtrimmers to relieve Wylde of more of his hair.

Flash Flanagan Back on Top, Red River Jack is Cowboy Bob Orton and Sean Vincent Survives the Elimination Match

SICW returned in 2016 with a bang as Flash Flanagan for the third time became the SICW Classic Champion by defeating the man who had pinned him for the title in December Travis Cook’s client Kahagas in a fierce brutal battle that in the end,  Ron Power‘s powerful right punch were the deciding factor.

 photo 5_zpsf5wgbdg2.jpg

 photo 6_zpsr2bgdedu.jpg

Travis Cook quickly made his presence known early and often as he continued to interfere in the match on the behalf of the Champion. Flanagan was reeling when Powers came out from the back to confront Cook walking with the crutches thanks to an injury he had suffered the month prior in the fatal three way title match. Due to Powers being in crutches, Cook arrogantly mocked the former champ, but it would not last long as the Powers wrapped his powerful hands around the neck of Cook as the crutches fell to the floor.

 photo 2_zpsn3aekj6w.jpg

Cook’s other henchman Brandon Espinosa attempted to jump Powers but was quickly dropped to the ground with a right hand. Kahagas was pounding on Flanagan when he saw that his manager was in trouble and as the ref was checking on the challenger Powers slugged the Champ allowing Flanagan to capitalize for the 1-2-3.

 photo 3_zpsj2gqiqgx.jpg

Earlier in the night the Sean Vincent continued his climb up the championship title hunt after a huge win against his arch rival Curtis Wylde in a cage in December, Vincent became the sole survivor in a 6-man tag elimination match when he teamed up with Ken Kasa and Gary Jackson to defeat Wylde (accompanied by Wyldefyre), Chris Hargas and Dave Vaughn with manager Travis Cook.

 photo 1_zps9j0rcvxy.jpg

The victory would be a painful one though as Vaughn drilled Vincent when they were the final two remaining with a brutal low blow costing him and his team the match thus making him the winner of the match.

 photo 8_zpsj1zffdkm.jpg

The main event was exciting but there was no doubt that shocking moments of the night would come in the Red River Jack and Bubba Troll clash. The contest started off simple enough as Red River Jack came to the ring with his manager Big Daddy and the two men locked up to see who was the best on that night.

 photo 10_zps1cacnhaq.jpg

Bubba Troll looked to use his power early on but Red River Jack used his experience to gain the advantage. When Red River Jack went to bounce off the ropes for leverage, Big Daddy tripped his own man allowing Troll to pounce. Still Red River Jack was able to get the advantage and Big Daddy called out the hired guns of Ax Alwardt and Dave Vaughn to attack.

 photo 9_zpswytf92i3.jpg

Red River Jack leveled the three men with RKO’s and punches and then turned his attention to Big Daddy who had entered the ring hoping to land a cheap shot. Big Daddy’s fear got the best of him and he feel down as he was trying to get away and was trapped against the ring post when out of the blue Red River Jack unmasked himself to show to the crowd that he was the WWE Hall of Famer “Cowboy” Bob Orton. Orton justifiable payed back his manager for his betrayal and left him reeling in pain. As Orton left the building Big Daddy promised revenge in the coming months at SICW.

 photo 12_zpscgmdo3db.jpg

 photo 11_zpsjb2vho2f.jpg

SICW once again had proved that anything can happen at the East Carondelet, Illinois Community Center. Fans were also thrilled to hear that former NWA World Champion Terry Funk will be a special guest on a rare Friday night SICW event on April 15 and on the 16th when SICW joins up with Mr Ken Murphy, and the Cape Comic Con for a huge show in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

The 2013 MWR Wrestler of the Year Jake Dirden made sure to get there early to pick the brain of the legend Stan Hansen for over twenty minutes.

Larry Matysik is one of the greatest wrestling minds today, unfortunately he was unable to be there, but behind every great man is a great women, for Larry it is his lovely wife Pat.

Justin Berry rocks the Rob Schamberger Brody shirt while meeting his lovely wife Barbara Goodish.

A standing-room-only audience packed the East Carondelet Community Center for Southern Illinois Championship Wrestling’s biggest show of the year. Fans flooded the building to honor the memories of both the anniversary of “Wrestling At The Chase” and the late King Kong “Bruiser” Brody.

The special guests were out in force. Along with Director Of Affairs Cowboy Bob Orton, the visitors in the house included Brody’s widow Barbara Goodish, Brody’s former tag partner Stan “The Lariat” Hansen, Larry Matysik’s wife Pat, and former AWA announcer Mick Karch. Promoter Herb Simmons acknowledged his guests at the top of the show before ring announcer Drew Abbenhaus kicked off the action.

In the opener, “Dirdey” Jake Dirden joined forces with Bobby D and “Dead Sexy” Daniel Gunner to take on the trio of Brandon Espinosa, “Volatile” Curtis Wylde, and Bubba Troll.

“Volatile” Curtis Wylde was in the house.

 photo 12_zpspub6hx8s.jpg

As always, Wylde was accompanied by his “Number-One Ginja” Wyldefyre.
 photo 13_zpsuoqktfab.jpg

It was a chaotic bout, as one would expect with so much humanity in one ring…as everyone brawled, Wyldefyre accidentally tripped her own man and that led to Bobby D finishing off Wylde with a Pedigree.

Two tough guys did battle as Big Jim Hoffarth locked horns with Ax. The two had crossed paths a few times in recent months without a decisive conclusion and were looking to settle the score on this meaningful night.
 photo 15_zpsyyv3pncq.jpg

 photo 14_zps5nke42nc.jpg

Big Jim with the body slam on Ax.

The battle spilled to the floor in the early minutes and Hoffarth went for a clothesline, but struck the ringpost when Ax moved out of the way. Ax pounced on the injury and targeted the bad limb with no mercy…Big Jim attempted to fight back, but had trouble defending himself and the referee finally stopped the bout out of concern for Hoffarth’s physical well-being. Ax was the winner…but Hoffarth still wanted a piece of his rival.

 photo 20_zpszienjwo8.jpg

Chaz Wesson made quick work of Waco.

“The Old School Warrior” Chaz Wesson was out to make a statement and he did so at the expense of the masked man Waco.

Wesson unleashed a flurry of offense from the opening bell, pinning Waco in about a minute with a cross-bodyblock off the top rope…proving himself worthy of being in the thick of the Classic Wrestling Championship picture.

 photo 18_zpsxyiurkrw.jpg

The Great One Gary Jackso.

“Night Train” Gary Jackson(w/ Big Daddy) had a literally huge task ahead of him in the form of the 300-plus-pound Barackus.

Jackson was attempting to rebound from his April loss of the Classic Title to Flash Flanagan, but he had trouble dealing with the size disadvantage. Barackus crushed the veteran with a huge Samoan Drop, but experience was the deciding factor as Barackus took his time on the pin attempt.
 photo 19_zps98bjmwh4.jpg

That allowed Gary to crucifix his shoulders to the mat for the pinfall, using the big man’s own size against him.

Herb Simmons interviewed Stan Hansen and Barbara Goodish about the night’s main event: The Bruiser Brody Memorial Battle Royal. As noted, the bout held special significance for them due to their respective connections to its namesake…many contenders would be in the ring to earn that trophy, but only one could walk away with it.

Midwest newcomer Paloma Starr went one-on-one with “The Queen Of Chaos” Lucy Mendez…the two had a wild fight in a mixed tag the previous month, but this time there would be no tag team partners to hold them back.

 photo 17_zpsr4m3qmrg.jpg

Paloma Starr has the 2014 MWR Female Wrestler of the Year Lucy Mendez in deep trouble.

 photo 16_zpsoaoqmmii.jpg

Starr had the power advantage, but Lucy’s experience would play a pivotal role in this one. She managed to outmaneuver Paloma and deliver a hanging DDT for the victory, continuing her run of success in the St. Louis area.

Two men at career crossroads faced each other as Keith Smith Jr. collided with “Ironman” Ken Kasa (accompanied by Travis Cook). Kasa was hoping to get back on track toward the Classic Wrestling Championship while the upstart Smith had his sights set on his first one-on-one victory.

 photo 22_zpsqvlw3yhj.jpg

Kasa established his early dominance with his signature shotgun dropkick right after the opening bell…he could have ended the match at that point, but chose to dish out more punishment. Chaz Wesson came out to root for his protege and that drew the ire of Travis Cook…however, the manager accidentally distracted his own charge and Keith Jr. was able to fire back with a football-style leg dive.
 photo 21_zpszmahyjei.jpg

With Kasa down on the mat, Smith hooked his father’s signature figure-four leglock and Kasa was forced to tap out!

After the match, things broke down between Kasa and Cook…Kasa was able to leave the ring without his manager, but caught him in the act of attempting a cheapshot with a chain around his fist. Kasa cornered Cook and prepared to lower the boom, but his stablemate Chris Hargas clipped his injured knee from behind. Hargas and Cook dished out a two-on-one beatdown on the wounded competitor, essentially downsizing Ken Kasa from the Travis Cook Organization.

 photo 23_zpsh7rswxc4.jpg

The end of an era as Travis Cook turns on the former SICW Champion Ken Kasa.

Travis Cook had a full evening as Hargas teamed with the Mongolian madman Attila Khan against the unlikely duo of Ricky Cruz and Ron Powers. The longtime rivals had common enemies and worked surprisingly well against Cook’s team, but underhanded tactics made the difference in this match.

 photo 24_zpsv2ywc7cs.jpg

 photo 26_zpslromfphk.jpg

The match was chaotic and wild as SICW ring announcer Abbenhaus runs for his life as the action was everywhere.

As the referee’s attention was diverted, Khan stunned Cruz with a low blow before jabbing him in the throat with a foreign object passed into the ring by Travis Cook. After that, Khan scored the tainted pinfall on the former Classic Wrestling Champion.

 photo 27_zpssege9gox.jpg

The Classic Wrestling Championship was at stake as two-time titleholder Flash Flanagan defended against “The Man Of Tomorrow” Daniel Eads. Eads had received MWR’s “Future Star Award” and hoped to carry that momentum into a big victory, but Flash’s years of experience were too much to overcome.
 photo 28_zpsgouakfz0.jpg

 photo 29_zpsbqlwfytj.jpg

 photo 30_zpswpbnxytv.jpg

Daniel Eads is one of the 2014 MWR Future Stars of the Year, but Flanagan is one of the baddest men in the country. Eads put up a fight but the wily veteran once again was a step ahead to keep the title.

A missed move caused Eads to land painfully on the second turnbuckle and Flanagan followed up with a double-stomp from the top rope as Eads was hung up on the ropes; that allowed the champion to retain his title.

 photo 33_zpscw7wnggs.jpg

This young fan was rooting for Ricky Cruz or Ron Powers to win the battle Royal.

The ring filled with powerhouses at the end of the night, all competing for the honor of being the first holder of the Bruiser Brody Memorial Battle Royal trophy.

 photo 34_zpsylomp8nt.jpg

 photo 35_zpsvmijunzg.jpg

In the midst of all the battles, Travis Cook pulled down the top rope and caused Ron Powers to tumble out of the ring. He seemed to be eliminated at that point, but Cowboy Bob Orton would allow him to re-enter the fray. The match came down to Hargas, Khan, Cruz, and Powers…Cruz eliminated Khan only to be pulled to the floor himself. Hargas charged at Powers, but Ron pulled down the top rope and Hargas fell out of the ring…leaving the former Brody protege as the winner of the battle royal!

After Barbara Goodish presented Powers with the trophy, Herb Simmons congratulated him on his win…but he had a bit of news regarding the June show. Travis Cook had been badgering him to settle the Red River Jack controversy and Herb finally had a solution: On June 20th, Ron Powers would face two members of the Travis Cook Organization…and Powers’ tag team partner would be Red River Jack. The news seemed to catch Powers off guard, but he promised that he and R.R.J. would come out on top.

 photo 37_zpseuobd8e6.jpg

On a night set up to celebrate Wrestling At The Chase and Bruiser Brody, the action in the ring told its own story and set the stage for a tumultuous summer in Southern Illinois Championship Wrestling!

Wrestling fans in Illinois should be thrilled about this coming Saturday’s All American Pro Wrestling’s Main Event”. Let’s take a look at just 10 reasons why you should take the trip to Marion, Illinois whether you are from Marion or you are a fan that lives in St Louis. In no specific order and to be honest I could have done more than 10 reasons why you should join us.

1)      First Show of the year! With the weather looking to be great, why not take the kids out to the park during the day then come in when it gets dark and cold as all of your favorite All American Pro Wrestling Stars action is sure to be hard hitting and heated. AAPW has an Awesome card filled with some of the best stars in Illinois and around the World. Don’t be the only fan at work on Monday who did not make the biggest show in AAPW history.

2)      “3G” Eric Wayne to meet former WWE, ROH and a NWA World Champion – The third generation AAPW star Eric Wayne was set to meet ROH World Champion Davey Richards this past fall. Due to contract issues that match never happen. Wayne has been in the sport since 2006 and has had a taste of TNA and WWE in past. A win against the respected and VERY entertaining “BOOM BOOM” Colt Cabana could send a message to AAPW management that he is ready for a rematch against AAPW Champion Edmund “Livewire” McGuire that is if you don’t see him on your TV on Monday or Thursday nights.

3)      “The Generic Luchador” El Generico vs. “The Man Gravity Forgot” PAC– Both of these wrestlers have traveled around the world. They have met in the past in thrilling battles that fans have raved about. Let’s take a look at

4)      FREE STUFF: One lucky fan in attendance will walk away with two tickets to the WWE Royal Rumble in St. Louis The fan who travels the farthest to attend Main Event will receive an AAPW prize pack.

Photobucket

Christopher Hagstrom and the AAPW staff has been proactive in building a close relationship with their fans in 2011, in 2012 they will be running on all cylinders with great matches to start the year along with awesome promotions for their fans at the shows, on their website, and on facebook. (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)

MWR Fans be sure to be a fan of AAPW on FACEBOOK as they have been doing prize packs when they reach 800, 900 and 1,000 fans. Be a part of the growth of one of the Midwest hottest promotions in 2012.

Pokerface. (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)

5)      Pokerface Open Challenge–  One of the hottest stars in AAPW is the undefeated Pokerface. How good is he? In October, he was able to get a victory from the 2011 MWR Wrestler of the Year Brandon Espinosa in an exciting match-up.

Photobucket

The All American feels the explosive knees from Pokerface. Can anyone step to and defeat Pokerface? Join us this Saturday to find out. (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)

While MWR has not been liked his arrogance and attitude towards fans we cannot deny the talent this young star possess. Who will step to meet the challenge of Pokerface? Be there to cheer on the man who will look to end the undefeated streak!

Photobucket

Heath Hatton and Curly tenure as a AAPW tag team Champs has come to an end. Can Heath Hatton fly alone to success?? (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)

6)      Bad blood and grudges boil over as Heath Hatton looks to get revenge on “Golden Boy” Greg Anthony.  Heath Hatton is one star that MWR has on the radar in 2012, in 2011 he along with fan favorite Curly won the AAPW Tag titles and feuded with Anthony and his tag partner “Serial Thriller” Shane Rich. Each man would find themselves alone as an injury would take out Shane Rich, while AAPW would fire Curly but this would not cool off the tension between these two.

Photobucket

Hatton has been on the search to work with the very best in the past couple of months as he has made appearances with both Harley Race’s WLW and Ohio Valley Wrestling. This could be his biggest match to date (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)

Last month Heath Hatton was forced to defend them alone against Team Overkill, and showed true heart in his efforts against Matt Cage and Christian Rose but it would be Greg Anthony who would cost him his tag team titles.

Now Hatton is ready to teach the veteran Anthony a lesson in respect. MWR has always enjoy Anthony here with his own article aptly named “The Golden Circle” in the past we do not condone his actions to this rising star and will be hoping that Hatton can do his wish.

Photobucket

In the past the Golden Boy Greg Anthony has used illegal help from his good friend Shane Rich, here rookie Aiden Young gets blasted from Anthony after Rich harassed him throughout the match. (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)

That may be easier said than done, Anthony who will be the first to tell you that he “Is the best of the best” and has the credentials to prove it. Down south he has been honored by the former website Rasslin Riot as the 2011 Wrestler of the Year, one half of a former Tag Team of the Year and been involved in the 2011Match of the year.

Photobucket

Shane Rich has been injured and has joined the AAPW announcing crew, but Anthony knows all the tricks in the book and looks to make life hell for the young rising star Heath Hatton. (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)

Anthony has formed a successful tag team with NWA/WCW star  Bobby Eaton with manager Brian Thompson are called Midnight Gold.

In singles and tag competition he  has captured wins against a who’s who in the sport including Jerry Lawler, Jerry Lynn, Buff Bagwell, Jay Lethal, Bill Dundee, Rock N Roll Express, Reggie B Fine, New Age Outlaws, Billy Gunn, Tracy Smothers, Flash Flanagan, and JC ICE.

..

Photobucket

Mike Masters!! (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)

7)      Kevin Hunsperger needs your support!!  MWR fans know Kevin as the play-by-play commentator for “Collision” and anchor of “News 3 This Morning” on WSIL TV. A great guy who has a true love for the sport. On the other side of the ring will be “The Masterpiece” Mike Masters.

Photobucket

Masters was on a roll early ion in his match with “Dynamite” Seth Knight but came out on the losing end, will look to take his frustrations out and bully our friend and AAPW announcer Kevin Hunsperger. (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)

Masters is a perennial threat to the AAPW Championship in the past and pound for pound one of the best wrestlers in the Midwest. So how did Kevin get involved in a match with the AAPW Superstar Mike Master’s?  Let’s take a look.

Photobucket

The 2011 MWR Female Wrestler Stacey O’Brien was so excited and appreciative when she was offered to be a part of AAPW’S “Main Event” when we saw her around Christmas time. Yet one thing is AAPW did not make it easy in the least when they brought in her former rival Rebecca Raze. (Photo Credit Brian Kelley)

8)      See the 2011 MWR Female Wrestler of the Year Stacey O’Brien in action and receive her plaque from MWR’S Diva Dubray Tallman:  It has been over four years since AAPW has hosted a women’s match inside the square circle. The fans asked for their return and AAPW has delivered with one of the Midwest finest Stacey O’Brien.  O’Brien was the first ever MWR Female of the Year and has returned from injury to regain her spot as the top women in the Midwest with great matches against Lucy Mendez, Santana G, Miss Natural and MsChif.

While this award may be a great honor for the hard working woman who now trains with Harley Race at the Harley Race Wrestling Academy in Eldon Missouri, she now has a target on her back. Just as rap legend 2Pac sang during his peak “All eye’s on me” O’Brien is now the hunted.

Photobucket

Rebecca Raze

The first young women to try to make a name for herself will be a former foe, Rebecca Raze. It has been over 4 years since the two have met but one thing is for sure that they do not like each other in the least. The name Rebecca Raze could be one that you are not aware of but don’t discount her skills and her desire to knock O’Brien off the top of the women’s division.

During the night we are honored that AAPW has invited us to present the “Boston Brawler” with her 2011 MWR Female Wrestler of the Year Plaque and support women’s wrestling at AAPW.

9)      See tag team wrestling the way it was meant to be: While newly crowned AAPW Tag Team Champions Matt Cage and Christian Rose of Team Overkill used some legal loopholes to get out of a title defense at Main Event AAPW has offered the fans a great tag match that could have ramifications for the rest of 2011.

Will the weight and power of Harris and Fargo be an advantage against the MMJB’s Jackson or will the Jackson be able to wear out the fearsome twosome and set them up for the Madman’s finisher the Fifth floor?

The winner of this match at AAPW’S Main event will earn a tag team title shot in the future.

10)   Two years ago, Missouri Wrestling Revival announced the very first MWR Trading Cards. The set was produced to bring recognition to the wrestlers in the Midwest and the MWR site. From the very first featuring the tag team the Northstar Express, we have done our best to deliver you the fans with a great card that catches your favorites wrestlers in action.

At the end of the year we were at #60 in the set that includes the current Ring of Honor World Champion Davey Richards, former champ Eddie Edwards, Jimmy Jacobs and MsChif to former WWE Stars and Champions Trevor Murdock, U-Gene) EUGENE), former D-X member Road Dogg along with Hall of famers such as Larry Zbyszko, Dave Hebner and Larry Matysik.

With #60 we were excited to have the one and only “Generic Luchador” El Generico to be a part of this wonderful collection.  To the best of my knowledge this will be the first time that MWR fans will have a chance to get their card autographed from the masked man himself in the MWR coverage area. El Generico is one of the most traveled wrestlers in the sport as he is a star with Ring of Honor and has taken tours around the world so fans do not miss this rare chance to see him in action and have you #60 MWR El Generico card signed.

Though we are always excited to add ROH and former  WWE, WCW, and NWA stars to the set, our favorites are the stars of the Midwest that thrill us each and every weekend in the Midwest.

Many of these men and women are the future of the sport as during our two years we have featured two Pro Wrestling Illustrated Rookies of the years in three cards. First we have the 2009 PWI Rookie of the Year as well as the 2010 MWR Wrestler of the Year Mike Sydal.  Sydal the brother of WWE Star Evan Bourne was featured in two cards, first the sold out card of #5 and then we provided an update of Sydal with the #37.

The most recent wrestler to be name the Pro Wrestling Illustrated Rookieof the Year is Ace Hawkins. We were excited to have this high flying star as the man who graced the # 55 card.

Both of these men have been in action at AAPW in the past but will not be there next week but you will be able to get your hands on the following cards and hopefully have them signed from them during the evening.

#38 Stacey O’Brien and # 43 The Mississippi Madman are two of our favorites. The Madman has been both the AAPW Champion as well as an AAPW Tag Champion.

One of the most charismatic wrestlers in the Midwest, he is always a fan favorite.  This will be a great opportunity to meet all three of these stars to have your cards signed.

That is 10 reasons and we never did get to the main event between AAPW Champ Edmund McGuire and “Old School Warrior” Ax Allwardt. This match that could be featured on any main event in the country today and it will be right here in the Midwest next weekend.
