MWR VS RING OF HONOR

Posted by flairwhoooooo on January 25, 2015

I have been sitting here for the past couple of months speaking to fans about many of the great wrestling shows in the near future. Recently Proving Ground Pro ,Pro Wrestling Championship Series, High Risk Wrestling and St Louis Anarchy that have  exciting events that featured Ring of Honor Superstars Tommaso Ciampa, reDRagon, Jimmy Jacobs, and A.C.H.

That got me talking to several fans, promoters and wrestlers in the area to fantasy book a star studded night of wrestling that would feature wrestlers from the MWR coverage area and those from one of the hardest hitting promotions in the world today, Ring of Honor.

I tried to find matches that have not been done in this area (If so very rare) that promised to be hard hitting matches that could match any in the world today. After taking a moment to check out the list, feel free to send in your choices for this supercard.

Who did we miss? Was there a better match-ups?

Please note that is all for fun and in no way do I feel there should be this many matches on a card, but in good fun we will imagine this is a supercard double shot.

Ron Powers vs Michael Elgin

 photo michaelelgin2_zpsuwq9pktv.png

 photo IMG_6168_zpsialfjkzj.jpg

In a battle between two of the most powerful men in the Midwest in the past thirty years Michael Elgin vs Ron Powers would be a sight to see. Though Powers is several years older, we have seen at SICW that he can be down right scary for his opponents . I love big men and have been thrilled to photographed these two throughout the past 6 years . Each of them are old school in their approach in the fact that they give the fans a 100 percent each and every night and I would love to lock horns in the middle of the ring in 2015.

The Black Hand Warriors vs reDRagon

 photo 0a_zpsy9uleyxx.jpg

 photo fish_kyle_zpstnz3emup.jpg

Out of nowhere the Black Hand Warriors came in 2014 to become one of the best tag teams in the Midwest. A double champion at Harley Race’s World League Wrestling  and Dynamo Pro Wrestling under the tutelage of Travis Cook, they have been involved in some of exciting wars with the BumRush Brothers and High Level Enterprise. I feel as if reDRagon are the best tag team in the world today, and have been pleading for the promoter of High Risk Wrestling , Frank Thurman to sign this match.

Jeremy Wyatt vs. Alberto El Patrón

 photo 35_zps44027f17.jpg

 photo alberto2_zps06um139s.png

To be honest I could put Jeremy Wyatt in a match with a new student of Ring of Honor and I have no doubt that it would be among the best matches on the card.  Alberto El Patrón  has the wealth, the title history advantage of a 4-time World Champion, but if I know the Rebel as well as I do he would not wilt under pressure, thus making this is an historic match that would be talked about for years.

 photo mpppp_zps8iyhzwln.jpg

Editors note: Metro Pro Wrestling delivers to their fans THIS Friday night an exciting Jeremy Wyatt match against a Ring of Honor Superstar Christopher Daniels in Kansas City. This will be the second ever match between two of the most exciting stars in the country and a match that promises to be one of the best matches of 2015.

01/31/2015 Metro Pro Wrestling (Turner Recreation Center) 831 S. 55th St. Kansas City, KS 66106 Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Event starts at 7 p.m. Front Row: $20 General Admission: $15 Kids 5-12 (Does not count front row): $10 Under 5: Free

Darin Corbin vs. R.D.Evans

 photo DC_zpscgmnmnkc.jpg

 photo rdevansbio_0_zpswmbhywwl.png

I have a feeling that this match has been done before, and if so it makes sense. Both of these men are highly entertaining, and able to deliver an enjoyable match that would be very different that the series battles that we mentioned above.

Jake Dirden vs. Tommaso Ciampa

 photo tommaso2_zpsvlh8joap.png

 photo jake-dirden_zps4mjcakik.jpg

I once heard Jake Dirden say in an interview that he looked forward to wrestling against Ciampa; therefor I offer him the opportunity in my dream card. Honestly, this match would be very awesome as Ciampa is very capable of bringing out the beast in Dirden, and it maybe for the best as he will have to be at the top of his game to survive a focused Ciampa.

The Hooligans vs. The Briscoe Brothers

 photo tumblr_m5az8dj0qM1r3fvlyo1_500_zpsr5vttykn.png

 photo 550563_515213985185032_389463958_n_zpsjfisgmyp.jpg

My favorite Tag team today, the Briscoe Brothers meeting the#1 ranked  tag team in the Midwest during the MWR years. The Hooligans and the Briscoe Brothers are an obvious choice.

Mark Sterling vs. MOOSE

 photo moose2_zpsfs9kcxrc.png

 photo 48_zps65653acc.jpg

Mark Sterling has been a man that is considered to be among the most talented men in the Midwest.  I feel that deserves a spot at the E  for his work ethic and dedication in the ring. . Moose , a former NFL football player has the size and charisma to rise to the top of the sport, so it would be interesting to pit a man with a chip on his shoulder like Sterling against an Indy darling so young in his career in the one and only Moose.

Davey Vega vs. Christopher Daniels

 photo IMG_4856_zpszyuvybb5.jpg

 photo danielsfull_zps3qsvkrab.png

Vega has proved to many in 2014 that he is capable of defeating Ring of Honor Superstars, and a win against the ultra-talented , highly versatile Christopher Daniels would cement his reputation.

The Young Bucks vs. High Level Enterprise

 photo 426a85dcd1a4d488fd9c63ffd59459b3_zpsowcf8ssw.jpg

 photo 3_zpscncrng4b.jpg

The battle of the Superkicks will be the name of the game when these two go at it. Jon Webb fresh off of his training with the Pro Wrestling NOAH Dojo, has returned to his partner Jack Gamble to train at the Harley Race Wrestling Academy becoming a team that is capable of challenging the world traveled team of the Young Bucks.

Ricky Cruz vs. Jay Lethal

 photo 19_zpsca2910a6.jpg

 photo lethalbio_zpsk6iuuod8.png

Ricky Cruz is well known for his big win capability throughout his career in the Midwest. The exciting Jay Lethal would bring the ferociousness in their match to test Ricky Cruz as the true King of Chaos.

Mike Sydal vs Matt Sydal

 photo mattsydal2_zpsykofklee.png

 photo 68_zps9469ad98.jpg

I normally hate good guy vs. good guy matches to be honest. Yes, I could have pitted them as a team against the likes of the Viking War Party, the New Midnight Express or the Professionals that would be awesome, but instead decided to have a match on the card to show why I feel as if Mike Sydal is one of the most under-utilized men in the sport today.

Brandon Espinosa vs. AJ Styles

 photo espy_zps7ewhhvay.jpg

 photo ajstyles_zpsetl13mfq.png

The ultra talented Brandon Espinosa has shown that he is capable of doing whatever it takes to get the win. A perfect opponent for A.J Styles as Espinosa is student of the game and would be very prepared to take on one of the top wrestlers today.

Gary Jay vs. Adam Cole

 photo adamcole2_zpsj1o7vprq.png

 photo 26_zps164cb711.jpg

Gary Jay is one of the longest reigning champions in the area as he currently holds onto the St. Louis Anarchy Championship while Adam Cole is a former Ring of Honor Champion. These two men have shown in the past that they are willing to do whatever it takes to win a match so it will be fun to see who comes up with what to win this match.

The Prodigy” Mike Bennett vs. Trevor Murdoch

 photo akprohase6sept6353_zpsi7qdsjnq.jpg

trevorrhodes

Mike Bennett and his First Lady of ROH Maria Kanellis, has earned a reputation to do whatever it to do whatever it takes to get the win. A top tier athlete that would have to use all of his skills and tricks to pull one over on the former 3-Time WWE Tag Champion Trevor Murdoch.

Roderick Strong vs Leland Race

 photo roderickstrong2_zpsmgegwko4.png

Jason Jones

Both of these men are driven to be the very best in the sport today.” Mr. Ring of Honor “Roderick Strong vs the WLW Champion would promise to deliver a technical masterpiece filled with backbreakers, suplex’s and uppercuts that the fans will feel from the front row to the back.

The BumRush Brothers Regain Dynamo Pro Tag Team titles

Posted by flairwhoooooo on April 6, 2014

 photo 4_zpsa437f6f6.jpg

Per Patrick Brandmeyer

The Bumrush Brothers(Shorty Biggs & Outtkast) d. The Black Hand Warriors(Michael Magnuson & David DeLorean)(w/ Travis Cook) to regain the Tag Team Titles. Chaos brook loose near the end of the match and Magnuson accidentally clotheslined his manager outside the ring…Shorty got the pin on DeLorean after he and Outtkast picked him up in double-torture rack position and dropped him face-first to the mat! As Shorty and Outtkast were celebrating their win outside the ring, they were jumped by Shawn Santel and Mauler McDarby(who were seated in the audience)! Magnuson & DeLorean went after the new champs as security ejected Santel & McDarby, but Gamble & Webb hit the ring to run them off.

Jake Dirden is facing challengers from all sides…and the Dynamo Tag Team Titles changed hands for the first time in nearly two years!

By Patrick Brandmeyer

The night started at the Stratford Inn in Fenton with Jeremy Wyatt taking on newcomer Andrew Wilder. “The Belt Collector” had his sights set on one of the few championships that he hasn’t held…and while Wilder put up a good fight, he was outmatched in this case. Wyatt forced the youngster to tap out to a unique half-crab variation.

Another favorite in the night’s battle royal was Alexandre Rudolph. Rudolph’s size and power were a major factor in that instance, but he showed his intelligence earlier in the night by reversing Geek Singh‘s armbar attempt into a pinning combination.

 photo 1620645_669586626412992_1521976101_n_zps368684d9.jpg

Executive Director Mark Bland hyped the night’s lineup but was interrupted by manager Travis Cook. With Ken Kasa and Dave Vaughn‘s Missouri licensing up in the air, Cook was seemingly left without representation on the show…but he had something else in mind for the evening.

Rivals Mike Sydal and “Showtime” Bradley Charles did battle…Sydal was the crowd favorite on this night and picked up the win after a moonsault while holding his yoga mat.

It was every man for himself in a four-corner bout featuring Jon Webb, “The Alternative” Brandon Gallagher, Ace Hawkins, and Evan “Money” Morris. Alliances formed and were quickly tossed aside as only one man could emerge victorious; that mentality worked in Gallagher’s favor as he took advantage of the chaos that ensued. After Webb hit Sliced Bread #2 on Hawkins, Gallagher threw Webb out of the ring and pinned Ace with feet on the ropes for illegal leverage.

Kevin X took on Mark Sterling in a battle of heavy hitters. Sterling’s crossfit background allowed him to hang in there with the veteran, but Kevin X took home the victory after his signature Pavement Drop. Bland announced that Kevin X would get the next title shot at Jake Dirden at the Off Broadway show…and that brought out the champion himself. Dirden complained that Bland was simply “handing out” title shots to whoever wanted them and that he should only be facing the most worthy challengers. By the end of the night, Dirden would have no shortage of opponents on his agenda.

The title was not on the line as Dirden faced WLW Heavyweight Champion Elvis Aliaga. Aliaga lose a close bout to Dirden in January with the Dynamo Championship at stake; however, Elvis claimed the referee had prematurely called for the bell when he lost consciousness in the Asiatic Spike hold. This time around, Aliaga was all business as he took the fight to his larger opponent…but things got out of control and the fight ended in a no-contest after both men shoved the official. All three referees and Mark Bland entered the ring to restore order, but Dirden laid out Aliaga with the title belt. Dirden took his leave, but not before literally shoving the belt in Bland’s face.

After the Black Hand Warriors scored a victory over Shorty Biggs and Evan “Money” Morris last month, Shorty and his Tag Team Championship partner Outtkast had to defend their belts against the WLW Tag Champs. Michael Magnuson and David DeLorean showed their tag team expertise as they took the champs to their limit, but the Bumrush Brothers turned the tide before Travis Cook made his presence known. The champs and the referee were both distracted and DeLorean took advantage with a low blow on Shorty…DeLorean put Magnuson on top of Shorty and the referee turned around to make the three-count. The Bumrush Brothers’ 22-month reign as champions had ended…and it looks like Travis Cook has a new tag team in his stable! As of this writing, there’s no word on what Kasa and Vaughn feel about the situation…

 photo 1011215_669586549746333_2039385579_n_zps9aada7de.jpg

The Dynamo Rumble was a situation with no friends or allies…only one competitor could walk away as the winner with a guaranteed Heavyweight Title shot. Several favored competitors entered the fray along with some surprise entrants; Lucy Mendez was the second entrant and the lone female contender, lasting several minutes before being eliminated by Wyatt. Newcomer Andino Giovanni made his return after a long injury layoff, battling several more experienced opponents until being double-teamed by Wyatt and SBC. Rudolph was the powerhouse of the field, eliminating several entrants and lasting until the final four.

Several existing issues surfaced in the midst of the battle; Sydal and SBC locked horns once again, leading to Charles throwing Sydal out of the ring and getting some retribution for his earlier loss. Wilder crossed paths with Wyatt once again and was sent floorward. The Black Hand Warriors had to deal with not only the Bumrush Brothers but also Jack Gamble; Gamble and partner Jon Webb had been targetting the pair’s WLW Tag Titles in recent months. DeLorean eliminated Gamble, but the Black Hand Warriors’ night wasn’t quite over.

Outtkast eliminated DeLorean, then Magnuson entered only to be jumped in the aisleway by Shorty Biggs! Shorty didn’t want to wait for his official entrance to the matchup as he assaulted Magnuson at ringside, then brought him into the ring for a double-team beating and elimination. Undaunted, Magnuson pulled Shorty to the floor from outside the ring…that issue is nowhere close to being settled..

Dan Walsh hit the ring and immediately set his sights on Brandon Gallagher; Gallagher had cost Walsh a match to Kevin X in January and “Walking Reality” wanted to get some payback. Walsh sent his blue-haired rival sailing out of the ring…but Gallagher didn’t call it a night just yet.

Elvis Aliaga was a surprise entrant at #20…he had already tangled with Dirden earlier in the night, but he wanted another shot at the big man even if he had to win the battle royal to do it. The final four of the match were Wyatt, Rudolph, Walsh, and Aliaga…the remaining competitors focused their efforts on Rudolph, allowing Wyatt to finally get him out of the ring. Wyatt threw Walsh over the ropes…and Gallagher(who was still lurking at ringside) pulled him to the floor to cause his elimination!

That left the first and last entrants to battle it out, so Dirden made his way to ringside to observe the outcome. However, his presence was a distraction to the wrestlers in the ring, particularly Aliaga; that allowed Wyatt to knock Elvis off the top rope to the floor, scoring a huge win in the battle royal!

Dirden and Wyatt confronted each other after the match, but Kevin X made his way to ringside to remind Dirden that his title shot is in a few weeks. With Kevin X, Wyatt, and possibly Aliaga in his future, the Dynamo Heavyweight Champion has a lot on his plate in the upcoming months!

The Black Hand Warriors Capture the Dynamo Tag Team Championships

Posted by flairwhoooooo on February 11, 2014

 photo G3G_1078_zps03402b98.jpg

The World League Wrestling Tag Team Champions the Black Hand Warriors (David Delorean and Michael Magnuson) has become the first tag team to our knowledge to capture another tag team title during their WLW title reign. The Black Hand Warriors marched into Dynamo Pro Wrestling with the “Manager of Champions” Travis Cook leading the way as they ended the Bumrush Brothers (Shorty Biggs and Outtkast) 22 month long reign as Champs. The turning point in the match was a low blow heard around the world, as DeLorean took advantage on Shorty when the referee had his back turned to seal the victory and capture the Dynamo Pro Wrestling Tag Team Champions.

Look for a full recap from Patrick Brandmeyer on here soon.

MWR Christmas wish list of matches for 2011.

Posted by flairwhoooooo on November 26, 2010

By Brian Kelley

2010 is near a close and the yearly awards are coming up quickly with some very tough decisions to be made from the awards committee over who will honored with the Wrestler, Tag Team, female, and promotion of the year.

So instead of worrying about who I am going to give my vote to I am going to flip the script.

I am going to make my Christmas wish of matches on this Black Friday  that I would like to see in 2011.

Instead of matches that have done before I am going to do my best to name 10 matches that to my knowledge have not happen before.

So without further ado I give you my Christmas wish matches in NO certain order.

1) Bailey Mannix with Lovely Leon

Bailey Mannix with Lovely Leon (Photo Credit Mike Van Hoogstraat )

vs.
Jaysin Strife

Jaysin Strife (Photo Credit Gary Giaffoglione)

– It is no secret that I have mad respect for both of these competitors. These two men going at it would be a true wrestling classic. One could say that Mannix has the power advantage but Strife could be just a little faster. Neither man is afraid to get their hands dirty and brawl with the best of them. A true wrestling classic in every aspect.

2) The Barrio Boys (Angel and Domino Rivera) With Lucy Mendez

The Extreme tag team (Photo Credit Jerry Chavez)

vs.

Attitude Inc. (Spencer Powers and Guy Smith )

Attitude Inc. (Guy Smith and Michael Shard) – Can New Midwest Wrestling handle being EXTREME? Former ECW Original Angel and his partner Domino Rivera is two men that many promotions run and hide from signing them to the fed.

Attitude Inc appears to be all show but the Boyz would soon find out that Guy Smith and Michael Shard can go.

3) Dixieland Destroyer with The Magic Man

The Dixieland Destroyer and the Magic Man (Photo Credit Mike Van Hoogstraat)

vs.

Shane Rich (Photo by Mike Van Hoogstraat)

Shane Rich – The beauty and the Beast is what I would call this AAPW clash. Rich has the good looks and conditioning but would it be enough to overcome the hillbilly power of the Destroyer.

4) Donovan Ruddick

Mephisto feels the power of Donovan Ruddick.

vs.

Abu Colossus

Abu Colossus delivers the pain on Preston Maxwell(Photo Credit Gary Giaffoglione)

– OK I have been begging for this match for a long time now. Don’t believe me click here to read a former article of mine that sets this match up perfectly. With Ruddick on the verge to explode would Colossus put out the spark first.

5) The Hooligans (Devin and Mason Cutter)

The Hooligans

vs.

The Gentleman’s Club (Casanova and Devin Carter) with Todd Countryman.

The Gentleman’s Club (Casanova and Devin Carter)

– The Hooligans have been almost everywhere but they have not been to the 2008 MWR Promotion of the Year 3XWrestling. With the Gentleman’s club running hot shot over everyone would the Hooligans be able to sway the good fortunes over fan favorites? Or would the mastermind Todd Countryman make them his next victim.

6) Lucy Mendez

Lucy Mendez has come on strong in 2010.

vs.

Santana G

Santana has teamed with some top talent in 2010 but she has yet to win the WLW Womens title.

– Two of the most popular women in the Midwest today. Mendez has had all the eyes on her at Metro Pro Wrestling. What if the Midwest Sweetheart was to show up? No women I know wants competition and the real winners in this battle would be us the fans.

7) Jeremy Wyatt

Every young wrestlers nightmare Jeremy Wyatt (Photo Credit Mike Van Hoogstraat)

vs.

Evan Money

Evan Money-

To become the best that you can be you have to work your way to the top. Money the teenage heart throb has had a solid year in 2010. Wyatt is considered by many to be the best in the game today. You say Money has no chance to survive against “The Rebel”. In Money’s defense he has earned some tough wins but this would be a measuring stick for one of the Midwest hottest young stars. My advice Money, if you have a belt stay far away from “The Belt Collector” Jeremy Wyatt.

8) Dan Walsh

Dan Walsh

vs.

Rory Fox

Rory Fox

-MTV vs MTV – Rory Fox gained national fame as one of the featured personalities on MTV’s True Life while Dan the Danimal” Walsh starred in MTV’s Road Rules. Need I say more.

9) Steve Fender and Mark Sterling

Steve Fender and Mark Sterling (Photo Credit Mike Van Hoogstraat)

vs.
BroMance Jordan McEntyre and Knight Wagner with Eryn

– Different styles for sure, Fender and Sterling are no nonsense hit you in the mouth tag team in the style of Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard while BroMance is….well they are BroMance a team with a lot of flash but can blind you with their double team abilities.

10) Trevor Murdoch

vs

Jonathan Magnus with Stephani King

Jonathan Magnus with Stephani King- No one likes a bully and that is what Magnus is at New Midwest Wrestling. A big man pushing his weight around to keep the NMW title around his waist. I don’t think that Murdoch would be so easy to push around. A match that would be talked about for ages in Springfield Illinois for years to come.

In my personal stocking match-

Crimefighter gets Eric Allens attention

Crimefighter’s chosen wrestler vs. The Pride of Peroia Eric Allen – A perfect match for NMW. It has been over a year ago that we took a look at the contriversal Eric Allen and his supposed win for the “Peorian Pride Championship”, ST louis Wrestling communities Crimefighter called foul quickly. Words and tempers flared between the two in the past but what if the red hot Eric Allen was to show his face in Springfield Illinois at the heart of Crimefighter’s coverage area?

A special attraction match for sure.

Other notable matches

The Cancun Kid vs. Kwong with Chad Mylan
Jason Jones vs. Ryan Phoenix
Preston Maxwell vs. Homicidal Steven Davis
Billy McNiel vs Zach Thompson
Curly vs #1 Brett Young
Jimmy Rockwell vs Brandon Espinosa
Pete Madden vs. Dave Vaughn
Matty Starr vs. Danny Cannon
Tony Cortez vs Brandon Aarons
Dan the Man vs Alexander Rudolph
Bobby Houston vs. Derek Stone
Christian Rose vs. Chris Havius
Bumrush Brothers vs The Beautiful Bodies
Eric Logan vs Tyler Cook
Ron Powers vs. Brian Ash
Donnie Peppercricket vs. Davey Vega
Kory Twist vs. Father Jack Mecidol
Sir Bradley Charles vs. The Big Texan

The Midwest Wrestling’s savior KC Karrington?

Posted by flairwhoooooo on November 22, 2010

The most important kind of freedom is to be what you really are. You trade in your reality for a role….You give up your ability to feel, and in exchange you put on a mask.
-Jim Morrison

Change is inevitable. It happens every day; no one or thing is immune. Who we were, could very will be quite different than who we are now. Who we are now could very well be a lie.

I hope that’s the case of young KC Karrington.

KC Karrington (Photo Credit Stephen Jones)

When I first met Karrington, he was very young looking and one had to tell me that he was in fact a wrestler. I watched as this “wrestler” signed autographs and met with kids at a meet and greet in Wood River Illinois. Smiles were shared as Karrington took pictures  with the young fans  and told stories of his young ring career and the happenings of WWE.

KC Karrington was living the dream.

I was surprised to see Karrington improve with every match. His love of wrestling would shine in matches with his tag team partner Steven Kennedy, collectively known as the Ego Express. The two was always entertaining and their fast paced style kept fans on their feet.

The Ego Express wqas tested when they  were set to meet the MWR 2008 Tag team of the Year Darin Corbin and Ryan Cruz otherwise known as the Northstar Express. In a classic match, the hometown fans were thrilled to see them get a monumental win. The Ego’s were set to challenge the NSE for the title of the top tag team in the Midwest.

Or so it seemed…

Out of nowhere, Karrington announced that even though he would still team with Kennedy and the Ego’s, he had other plans. Those plans were to challenge the top wrestler in the Midwest at the time Jeremy Wyatt. “The Rebel” Jeremy Wyatt had been on a tear dominating every competitor that any promotion put in front of him.

Honestly, I liked Karrington and would be rooting for him but I gave him zero chance.

Karrington would not be denied. The hard work, dedication and desire to reach the goal would allow him to prove his naysayers wrong. He would go down as one of the few men to pin Wyatt in the past three years.

An impressive feat, for a young man who had been in the sport in such short amount of time. Life was looking good for KC Karrington.

Or so it would seem….

Refs have wisely kept their distance from Karrington over the last few months (Photo Credit Bill Smith )

Quietly with no fan fare, KC Karrington was gone. It would be almost a half year to the date till I saw KC Karrington. Out of nowhere came a wrestler that I had not seen before, jacked with muscles and full of ink he came towards me. I was shocked when the once looking “kid” had transformed himself into a powerhouse.

I was looking forward to getting down to what his secret to getting in shape so I asked him. I didn’t get two words out of my mouth when Karrington interrupted me and coldly stated “ Do not talk to me unless I speak to you first, you hear me? I am God, I am hear to save wrestling in the miserable state that it is in here in the Midwest. Your readers, the site, the fans and the wrestlers today better learn to follow me or they will PAY!”

It would not be long that the brutal feud of the Ego Express and the Bumrush Brothers (Shorty Biggs and OuTKaSt) would explode. After taking a loss to the ultra popular tag team of the Bumrush, Karrington would lose it. He viciously used a chair on OuTKaSt after the match. During the attack he repeatedly yelled out “I am GOD!

The feud would heat up as the summer went on as we chronicled here at MWR at this post. Déjà vu it happened again on July 24th. OutKaST after earning a hard fought win against Kennedy would find himself taking a shot from a chair courtesy of Kennedy and Karrington. On and on the beat down went with Karrington berating OuTKaST and the fans for their sins.

Even Ego Express Partner Steven Kennedy is stunned with the brutality that Karrington delivers against their arch rival OuTkaST. (Photo Credit Mike Van Hoogstraat)

Karrington knocked out the ref Michael Crase, then continued his assault on OuTKaST. (Photo Credit Mike Van Hoogstraat)

“I have no regret or remorse for the beating I inflicted on the Outtkast. The revelation was for the sake of his salvation, and was for his own good, whether he realizes it right now or not. I was simply trying to set Outtkast free…trying to help him see the light and the peace that comes with accepting the Midwest Messiah into his heart. I will help Outtkast and the rest of my disciples see that my ways are righteous and my mission is true. Just like the rest of them…he is too ignorant to see it for himself. He will accept me as his savior….be it by choice or by force.”

In what seem like forever till the officials were able to separate Karrington and Kennedy from OutKAst. A chill ran up my spine as I witnessed the evil look in KC Karrington’s eyes and destruction that he seemed thrilled to deliver.

Expose yourself to your deepest fear; after that, fear has no power, and the fear of freedom shrinks and vanishes. You are free

I sent tapes of Karrington recent actions to wrestling psychologist Jason Thomas. When I got back with Thomas I could hear the concern in his voice about Karrington as I asked him why the change?

Thomas stated “What is interesting is that for the most part, individuals that find success also relate the accomplishment with happiness. Even with big wins against the Northstar Express and Jeremy Wyatt, Karrington has regressed. The question remains was the feeling of being on top, disappointing to Karrington or did he resent the fact that still not enough to please him?”

I was able to catch up with Karrington’s partner Kennedy who had this to say about his fellow Ego partner Steven Kennedy “A lot about that night seems like a blur to me. But I do distinctly remember one thing, the look in his eyes. I’ve never seen that look in KC’s eyes. It’s like he wasn’t in control. For a split second, I felt like I was looking at someone else entirely.

We get back to our dressing room after that and he stands there like nothing happened at all. I remember standing there thinking to myself, ‘This guy nearly murdered Outkast in front of an audience.’ I’ve been guilty of some devious stuff in my career, but I’ve NEVER seen someone get absolutely destroyed like that. It’s like something has changed in KC, something that was buried deep within him has finally snapped.”

Thomas went on to say that “ Karrington has what is called a Messiah Complex, state of mind in which an individual holds a belief they are, or is destined to become, a savior mixed with a God Complex where he believes that he is above others.. The scary part of this is that there was no remorse at any of his attacks. In wrestling if you look closely you see feuds go all out but at times there is a peak or hesitations in their attack where there is a line drawn. With Karrington the past few months their has been no bounds for his contempt. Even in his partner Kennedy who seems to condone Karringtons actions there was moments where he back off. That wasn’t the case with Karrington.

The last words from Thomas was an eerie warning to all “ I highly urge wrestlers around the Midwest to keep their distance from Karrington at this time. He is a ticking time bomb that will only get worse. At this point I have to worry about the safety of the fans that Karrington has stated he is here to save.”

Last words from Karrington.

This is the prophecy….I have always been and will always be. I am here to be living water for midwest wrestling and I will raise myself up onto the highest seat of Dynamo Pro Wrestling. I will make myself the Morningstar and the light by which all must follow. My church will be established, and my name will be praised. “

“K.C. be with you. Amen.”

-OuTtKaSt d. Steven Kennedy with a rollup after Kennedy missed the Magic Bullet. K.C. Karrington attacked KaSt after the match(Shorty Biggs was not in the building due to travel problems) and destroyed him with a chair, leaving him bloody in the ring.

-Unfortunately, the show was cut short by a power outage during intermission as a huge thunderstorm hit the area. We waited for a while to see if the lights would return or if they could light the ring another way, but they finally called it off and offered discounts for their next show in August…rest of the card was scheduled to be Adam Rich vs. Evan Gelistico, Shorty vs. Karrington, Dan Walsh vs. Kevin X, and Davey Vega & Trent Stone vs. Mark Sterling & Jeremy Wyatt.

Missouri Wrestling Revival will have exclusive comments from the Bumrush Brothers Shorty Biggs and OuTtKaSt in the near future discussing their feud with the Ego Express that has the looks to not end anytime soon.
