Hulk Hogan and Dubray Tallman shows off the Midwest hottest wrestling wear.

Posted by flairwhoooooo on September 25, 2010

Go up to anybody on the street and ask them to name a wrestler. There is a good chance that they will say….Hulk Hogan!!!

Hulk Hogan revolutionized wrestling in the 80’s in the WWE by bringing the sport that we love into households throughout the country.

He reinvented himself in the 90’s and once again changed wrestling’s landscape as “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan in the faction known as the New World Order.

Bigger than life Hulk Hogan is still an important draw in today’s game.

We are honored to have Hulk Hogan and MWR together as MWR’S Dubray Tallman pose with the most popular t-shirt in the Midwest. The MWR Logo shirt.

Beware of rabid dogs at 3XW

Posted by flairwhoooooo on September 22, 2010

By Mark Campos

As the days get colder and nights get shorter out come the ghouls and goblins and that can only mean one thing, 3XWrestling’s “Halloween Horror 4” is almost here! On October 1st at the Des Moines Social Club come see the best the Midwest has to offer for a horrific night of professional wrestling!

Without a doubt one of the most anticipated match ups for “Halloween Horror 4” will be the bout for the tag team gold. The current Tag Team champs, The Gentlemen’s Club, are set to defend their titles against The Horn Dogs. These two long time tag teams will be looking to do some damage at the 3XW arena and no one will want to get in their way!

The 3XWrestling Tag Team champs consist of the handsome Casanova and the red headed wonder boy, “Delicious” Devin Carter. These two have been with 3XW from the beginning and are the first ever tag champs for this promotion. But they have not always been friends and have looked at other from the other side of the ring as they fought over the 3XW Heavyweight title. After some grueling battles against each other Carter decided to do the unthinkable and team back up with Casanova in February of this year thus joining the much hated Gentlemen’s Club. Their second reign as the Tag Team champions came with a win over the High Flyers in March and they have been terrorizing 3XW and the fans ever since.

See the Gentlemen's Club at 3XWrestling's "Halloween Horror 4"

The Tag Team champs are going to need to bring everything they got plus the kitchen sink if they are even thinking about beating the top tag team contenders, The Horn Dogs. This unlikely dynamic duo is made up of the huge and powerful Maddog McDowell and the agile cruiserweight Krotch. The Horn Dogs had first teamed up in 2008 but went their respected ways as McDowell took on all challengers as he held the 3XWrestling Heavyweight title. Renewing their interest in the tag team gold this year The Horn Dogs have reunited in hopes of taking the belts back to the “dog house”. McDowell and Krotch have both stepped up their wrestling game and winning the gold could send them to the next level.

All eyes will be on the ring for what should be a classic match featuring brute strength, fast paced action and maybe a sleeper hold or two. Also be on the look out for the Gentlemen’s Club manager, the despicable and conniving “Commissioner” Todd Countryman, who will most likely be waiting for the opportunity to use his loaded briefcase. Other championship bouts and grudge matches will be taking place in addition to a frightfully scary over the top rope battle royal! Come join the family friendly action that is pro wrestling with 3XW.

3XWrestlings’“Halloween Horror 4” will be held at the Des Moines Social Club on October 1st located at 1408 Locust Street in Des Moines, IA. Resevse your tickets exclusively at the 3XWrestling website or tickets can be purchased at Cup O’Kryptonite and both Jay’s CD and Hobby locations. Advance presale tickets cost $12 for adults and $6 for kids 10 and under. Ticket will also be sold the night of the show at $15 for adults, $6 for kids 10 and under and kids 3 and under are free. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. with the bell time being 7:30 p.m. Please do not throw chairs!

Dubi meets the IHW Fans September 11th

Posted by flairwhoooooo on September 20, 2010

By Dubray Tallman

Good day my wrestling fans, on September 11th we returned to Independent Hardcore Wrestling and for the first time we got to see them in Waterloo Illinois for “The Battle of Waterloo”.

On this weekend was my son Tyler’s 11th birthday so Brian offered to take him and his best friend Nick out for wrestling. This would be Nick’s first wrestling event so the boys were exciting about checking out the show.

The crowd was huge and the fans were really having a good time and it came to no surprise to me that the IHW Champion Brandon Aarons was one of the most request wrestlers for this edition of Dubi Meets the Fans.

Wesley Rodell and Justin Campbell with Brandon Aarons

I caught up with Wesley Roedl and Justin Campbell who were excited to have their pictures with Aarons. Justin has already snagged the trademark Aarons glasses at the merchandise table. My daughter Cheyenne loves those glasses and bought her one to have as well when we brought her last.

Up next was Hardcore fan favorite Mephisto who was chosen by Brandon Van Dever from Cahokia, Illinois.

Brandon Van Dever and Mephisto

Brandon told me that “after wrestling legend Baron Von Raschke, Mephisto was the best.”

We caught up with Aarons once again this time with friends who also picked up themselves a set of the Brandon Aarons player shades.

Michael Quinn and Aden Stein with Brandon Aarons.

Michael Quinn and Aden Steine from Waterloo Illinois were ready to cheer on Aarons as he was set to take on Bailey Mannix in the Main event.

Brandon Obst and Brandon Aarons

Blake Obst had hope to get his picture taken with the youth sensation Evan Money but before we could get it done Money had been jumped from after his match from Eric Allen, Lovely Leon and Bailey Mannix who cost him the win against the Canadian Sean Vincent.

Blake Obst and Cameron Cage

Money was being attended to in the back so Blake was willing to take his picture with the returning Cameron Cage.

I looked around to see who I could choose while we waited for Poo Doo the Cow to come out to have his picture taken with Tyler and Nick.

I saw Shorty Biggs  near and he had just got done signing autographs and took some pictures with his fans.

Shorty Biggs and Dubray Tallman

St Louis loves them some Shorty and so do I.

Aaron Brigance was lucky to have his picture taken with the Tony Kozina and I got so busy that I forgot to get one taken with the superstar.

Aaron Brigance and Tony Kozina

Kozina was also the IHW wrestler who wore the MWR shirt prior to his match to throw to one lucky fan.

Tyler Tallman with Poo Doo and his cowgirl along with Nick Bowne

Tyler and Nick quickly let me know when Poo Doo came out from the back and he was joined with him a cowgirl The boys favorite match did turn out to be his with Dash Rando and they were elated to get their picture taken with the popular IHW Star.

Tony Kozina had an amazing match with Chris Logan that saw chairs and tables involved throughout the match.

Sam Bazzell and Tony Kozina

Prior to his match Sam Bazzell caught the shirt and Tony came out prior to the main event to take a picture with young Sam

The night of wrestling turned out to be a lot of fun and on a personal note we would like to thank everyone at IHW for making Tylers birthday a night that he will always remember.

I hope to see you at a show real soon my friends and feel free to come out to say that you want to be part of Dubi meets the fans and we will do our best to get you a chance to meet your favorite wrestler.

World known Photographer Wayne McCarty covers 3XW Des Moines, IA from 8/6/2010

Posted by flairwhoooooo on September 19, 2010

I cant believe that I missed this but one of the very best photographers in the world today Wayne McCarty was in Des Moines Iowa in August to cover 3XWrestlings King of Des Moines Tournament.

I will give you the start of his blog and I highly recommend you add him to your favorites.

From Wayne McCarty at Midwest Indy Wrestling

For the first time since October 2007 I made my way down to Des Moines, Iowa for a 3XW card. Int the three years the 3XW roster has not changed much as many of the same guys were since the last time. One thing that has changed is the location for their events. 3XW now runs out of the Des Moines Social Club in down town Des Moines. This card was the second annual King of Des Moines tournament that featured 8 of 3XW’s best wrestlers and two title matches.

For the rest of his post and the great photos from that event click here.

Wayne is a pro wrestling ring side photographer based in the Minneapolis area. Since 2003 I’ve been a contributing photographer for Pro Wrestling Illustrated/The Wrestler/Inside Wrestling. His photos have also appeared in The Minneapolis Star Tribune, Punk Planet, Out and City Pages
