Dingo Out.. Matt Knicks Signed to the Blacklist + AJ Gray is on His Way to PWCS Nov 11th

Posted by flairwhoooooo on October 25, 2017

Crazy breaking news out of PWCS offices tonight. Dingo announced he would not be able to compete 11/11 at Stage 4, and apparently Blacklist leader Makaze did not take this news too kindly.

With only one Stage to make it to the finals, Makaze has traded Dingo‘s contract to The Resurgence in exchange for the newly signed Matt Knicks.

Knicks was signed to round out the injured Resurgence roster, but is a huge standout from Chicago that could push the Blacklist back to the championship.

This of course factors into the 11/11 card.

Knicks will now represent the Blacklist in a singles match with The War Horse Jake Parnell, who will suit up for the Resurgence. Parnell could be at less than 100% considering the health of the Resurgence, can he fight through the pain and score a win?

In the main event, The Chainsaw Viking Alex Rudolph will fill the open slot and face Danny Adams, Gary Jay, and Mat Fitchett in the main event! Rudolph has history and bloody battles with Gary and Fitchett, and combined with thr natural Blacklist vs Ego rivalry, this one may be even more explosive than originally planned!

2015 Missouri Wrestling Revival Lifetime Achievement Recipients Jim and Crystal Yount

Dynamo Pro Wrestling promoters Jim and Crystal with former Missouri Office of Athletics Ed Moynahan during an event in Fenton, Missouri.

Special thanks for the write up from Patrick Brandmeyer

In professional wrestling, the ones who usually get the hype are the people in the ring. Wrestlers, managers, even referees and announcers get the camera time and are recognized by the fans. However, it’s often the ones behind the scenes who put in the most work and make the wrestling product what it is.

For the better part of the past two decades, “Evil” Jim Yount and Crystal Yount have played a huge role in the St. Louis wrestling scene. Starting with Midwest Renegade Wrestling in the late ’90s and continuing to Gateway Championship Wrestling, they put in the time and effort to make their promotion of choice into the best product it could be.

In the mid-2000s, they became co-promoters of a branch of NWA Central States which evolved into its current form-Dynamo Pro Wrestling , including an affordable school that has been open for beginner and experience wrestlers alike. During this short time a who’s who of stars have made their way through the doors of the Dynamo Pro Wrestling Dojo include Davey Vega, Brandon Aarons, Alex Rudolph, Mat Fitchett, Santana Garrett, Ozzie Gallagher, Jake Parnell, Jake Dirden, Mike Outlaw, Justin D’Air, and The Snitch

Over the past several years, Dynamo has drawn fans all over the Midwest to their unique brand of wrestling. Many long-time spectators recognize the ties to the GCW days, especially at the epic reunion show in December of 2012 which drew close to five hundred fans!

Dynamo has made an effort to expand its presence, running in several new venues in the past few years. DPW has established a strong audience at the Stratford Inn in Fenton and has also run shows in Wood River as well as Off Broadway and The Ready Room in St. Louis. Dynamo’s media team has gotten the word out about the promotion through several outlets, including radio stations and podcasts around the St. Louis area.

Many Midwest wrestlers have known Jim and Crystal over the years and owe them a lot in helping them with their careers. For that reason, Missouri Wrestling Revival is proud to present them with the 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award!

New Champions lead Proving Ground Pro into the new year:

Posted by flairwhoooooo on December 11, 2013

From Brady Lawrence

Proving Ground Pro‘s final event of 2013, Emergency Response, was a huge success and an absolutely wild night of action. New champions highlighted the best night of P.G.P.’s first year with a record crowd and hottest show to date!

“America’s Favorite Son” Ruff Crossing is one of the few men today that has the package to match Jake Dirdens tenacity in the ring.

Jake Dirden brings the pain to Crossing in route for the PWP Title. …Could these two men be heading towards a feud that could last for years?

With P.G.P.’s Franchise title vacant going into the evening, a one night, four man tournament was set to crown a new champion. The first round pairings were Ruff Crossing vs Tyson Dux and Jake Dirden vs TaDarius Thomas. “America’s Favorite Son” Ruff Crossing was able to move passed Canadian star”Textbook”Tyson Dux in a match that pushed Ruff to his limits.

 photo EE_zps74c371a6.jpg

“Textbook” Tyson Dux looked to take the “America’s Favorite Son” Ruff Crossing to school early on.

Dux’s scientific mat skills were almost too much for Ruff Crossing, but the big cowboy surprised Tyson with a roll up and moved on to the evenings main event. In the other first round match “Dirdey Jake Dirden overcame TaDarius Thomas in a classic battle of size versus speed.

 photo E_zps22e9bf24.jpg

TaDarius Thomas is a powerful man with a huge upside. Here he wisely tries to keep Dirden grounded.

TD showed the skills that made him P.G.P.’s first Franchise Champion by bringing his “A” game, putting Dirden in a tough spot on several occasions. In the end the size and power of the 6’10” bearded wild man proved too much for TD and “Dirdey” scored a pin off a huge driving choke slam, moving him on to the championship main event. The main event was then set, Ruff Crossing versus Jake Dirden for the P.G.P. Franchise Championship. This match had no time limit or disqualification, a winner must be decided. This stipulation resulted in Dirden calling Crossing out to the floor to start the match, this was a wild street fight from the opening bell. Spilling in and through the crowd from the get go, Crossing versus Dirden was and absolute old school classic that seemed to culminate in “Dirdey” Alabama slamming Ruff through an extremely stiff table. Somehow Crossing managed to kick out on the 2 and continue the match. Unable to get the 3 count Dirden appeared shocked and seemed to be taken out of his game, this allowed Crossing the opening he needed to hit Jake with a high impact lariat and score the pin. Congratulations to Ruff Crossing, new P.G.P. Franchise Champion.

Zero1 X World Champion Jonathan Gresham can fly and wrestle with the very best in the world.

P.G.P. Cutting Edge Champion”The Apex” Blake Steel changes the tide with his power advantage.

In the surprise shake up of the evening, P.G.P. Cutting Edge Champion”The Apex” Blake Steel was taken to a 20 minute time limit draw with Zero1 X World Champion Jonathan Gresham. This was the proverbial wrestling clinic. Both men executed solid game plans, but neither could gain a submission or 3 count before the time limit expired. With the crowd wanting 5 more minutes, Gresham and Steel seemed ready to make that happen. Before the referee could call for a restart, Mario Andrew Crivello interrupted the proceedings and cashed in the Cutting Edge Golden Ticket he had won earlier in the evening. This forced Blake Steel into a second title defense against a rested and ready Crivello. After kicking out of several early pin attempts, “The Apex” began to get the best of Mario and seemed on the verge of winning, but a distracted ref left an opening for Crivello’s manager “Mouth of the Midwest” J.P. To throw powder in Steel’s eyes.

Manager Ron Powers creates havoc in East Carondelet. SICW Wrestling returns this Saturday Old School Warriors return.

Posted by flairwhoooooo on November 20, 2012

SICW fans got their wish in October when Travis Cook told them that he would not be in attendance in East Carondelet, Illinois for the November show. The fans happiness would not last when Cook went on to make an agreement with the former Classic Wrestling Champion Ron Powers to manage his men for the night.

One fact remains with Powers and that is, you can never be sure what he will do, a loose cannon in every sense of the word. While the fans thought he would be out their to manage Cook’s men Dave Vaughn and Ken Kasa.

Powers took it on himself to offer his service to the likes of Max Archer, Bull Bronson, Jake Dirden, Alex Rudolph and his fellow henchman The Big Texan in battle against current champion Ricky Cruz.

Powers and his men did not show the usual savvy of Cook as Archer and Kasa each got disqualified for outside interference. When Powers offered his service to Rudolph, the young powerhouse decline him, only to see Gary Jackson seizing the opportunity for an edge to have Powers in his corner.

Jackson’s 3 rules applied in this

1. He came out to win

2.He refuse to lose.

3.He will cheat if he has too

4. Don’t forget the rules

Classic Gary Jackson footage.

So with that said thought Powers and Jackson often enemy’s joined forces to pick up another impressive victory in his historic career.

Powers had the experts wandering if he was scouting for more muscle but one thing was sure his number one goal was to send a clear cut message to Ricky Cruz that he had his eyes set on the CWC title as he brutally assaulted Cruz during the match.

If it would not have been for Power’s former right hand man Sean Vincent, he may have very well have taken Cruz out for good…Thankfully men like Chris Hargas, Heath Hatton and Chaz Wesson came out to stand the ground on Powers, Vaugn, Texan, Waco, and Bronson to insure that the Classic Wrestling Champion stood to fight another day.
