Free NWL #FightSTL shirts, stickers, and more for the first fans through the door at St. Louis Anarchy’s awesome show.

-The show started with promoter Pierre Abernathy addressing the fans and acknowledging the fact that it was the final show for St. Louis Anarchy. He brought out National Wrestling League promoter Major Baisden; he got a mixed reaction, but he spoke to the fans about his vision for the NWL and seemed to have them on board.

The Hooligans(Devin & Mason Cutter)(w/ Uncle Leo) d. The Viking War Party(“American Viking” Alexandre Rudolph & “Littlest Viking” Jake Parnell); the match broke down into a bar fight with the four sitting in chairs and punching each other. It finally came down to Devin simply pummeling Parnell to the mat and pinning him (15:53).

High Risk Wrestling Update for this Friday Night in Warsaw, Missouri

Posted by flairwhoooooo on November 30, 2016

High Risk Wrestling Presents “Final Fight”, our last Event of the year on Friday, December 2nd, at the Warsaw Community Building in Downtown Warsaw, Missouri! The doors open at 7:00PM and The First Bell is at 8:00PM!

At this time, I have some bad news. I was informed that Davey Richards and Angelina Love did not get their Missouri Wrestlers Licenses renewed in time for this Event. Unfortunately, this means that they will not be able to appear this Friday.

I am working hard to find a suitable replacement for both of them.

No matter what, “Miss Natural” Heather Patera will be in the house to meet and greet with the fans and who knows what else she may have in store for us!

I offered to just add Tony Kozina to the Title match with Mike Sydal, since he is the Number 1 Contender in my eyes. Being the competitor that he is, Tony refused to have anything handed to him and insisted on competing in the Number 1 Contenders match, so he can earn his Title shot!

Therefor, the winner of the Number 1 Contenders match between Kozina and Shizuka will now receive their Title shot that very same night!

I will continue to search out more of the finest High Risk Athletes to add to this Event to make sure that it is our best Event, EVER!

HRW Tag Team Championship Match!

Ricky Cruz Reflects on his Career in the Midwest- See Him One Last Time on Saturday

Posted by flairwhoooooo on November 23, 2016

0000

When Ricky Cruz told me recently that he was calling it a career for some reason I just did not compute that it would actually happen. Maybe I was in denial. Time passed and to be honest I had forgotten all about it till I was having breakfast at Denny’s with my friends Ben Simon, Patrick Brandmeyer and Gary Weiss and it was one of the main topics this past Friday night.

To say that Ricky Cruz was influential in the Midwest since his debut in 2011 would be an understatement. One of the top stars in his country of Puerto Rico, fans quickly fell in love with not only the wrestling skills that Cruz possessed but the rare charisma that only a few are blessed with. In fact other than Brandon Espinosa and Jeremy Wyatt  there most likely is no other wrestler that I photographed or wrote their name on our site more throughout his time in the Midwest, than “The King of Chaos”, Ricky Cruz.

There is no doubt that his feuds and matches with the likes of Ron Powers, Jeremy Wyatt, Adam Pearce,  and Jake Dirden will be remembered for years to come. More than once I have seen a crowd that was dead for one reason or another come alive as Cruz was able to establish a connection with them and get them to their feet.

3

Cuz always took the time to help other young stars in the area along the way with advice in and out of the ring. Though I have mentioned it more than once already it can’t be stated enough the connection that Ricky Cruz had with his fans, young and old. As a photographer he made my job FUN and easy when it was time to get that awesome photo of a wrestler with his fans, before, during and after the matches. If I only had a dollar each time a fan asked for me to take their photo with him through the years I could take December off.

He would go on to star for almost every respectable company in the MWR Coverage area, winning titles and being named the 2014 MWR Wrestler of the Year. We were also honored to have him be a part of the first series of the MWR Trading card set at number #78.

000

When Ben Simon came up with the idea of having a MWR Missouri Title, Ricky Cruz became the first ever champion when he defeated Jake Dirden. I am forever grateful that he took pride in carrying the title that had the MWR name throughout the state of Missouri. We had so much fun through his reign working with several top promotions and wrestlers along the way.

dubi
On a personal level, the future Mrs. Brian Kelley, (Dubray) and I will always consider Ricky a dear friend.

1

This Saturday I hope that you join me as we say farewell to Ricky Cruz as he takes on his arch rival Jake Dirden one last time at Dynamo Pro Wrestling at the Ready Room on Saturday night.

Dynamo Pro 11/26/16

I leave you with Ricky Cruz’s final goodbye through social media, but it will be so much sweeter for you to say goodbye to him in person.

By the way Ricky if you decide to renege on this announcement afterwards I am all for it.

Cruz can’t lose.

Brian Kelley – Missouri Wrestling Revival Owner and Editor

Thank you!!

Since May 2011 I’ve had the opportunity to be here in the mid-west doing what I love, WRESTLING. It’s been great to have the chance to entertain the fans and work with so many talented people.

I wanted to take a minute before this 2 last matches and thank the people that have help me and encourage me to continue doing what I love when I thought I would never set foot in a ring ever again. When I came to St. Louis I was injured and I was never to wrestle again or at least that’s what I was told by my Dr. but that wasn’t the case.

As I was getting better I had the chance to meet Keith Smith and Tony Costa, two gentleman that has been in wrestling forever. They gave me a place to train and later on my first opportunity to come back to the ring. For that I will forever be grateful.

Also thanks to Herb Simmons because he gave me a chance to do great things at SICW. Even when we don’t see eye to eye in a couple of things this days I still appreciate the opportunity and the faith he had in me and my work. I hope one day we can seat at Steak and Shake like we use to and talk wrestling.

I have to thank all the veterans that helped in any way, Keith, Chester, Gary, Pete, for all the advice and their comments. Thank you for helping me be better at this craft.

High Risk Wrestling Dec 2nd Warsaw, MO Mike Sydal vs Davey Richards, Angelina Love vs Miss Natural

Posted by flairwhoooooo on November 22, 2016

15036540_1327897840594686_712899780077615537_n

High Risk Wrestling Presents “Final Fight”, our last Event of the year on Friday, December 2nd, at the Warsaw Community Building in Downtown Warsaw, Missouri! The doors open at 7:00PM and The First Bell is at 8:00PM!

We are just two weeks away from our next HUGE Event! At this time, I can announce the next two matches!

1. The new HRW Tag Team Champions, BabeWatch will be defending their newly won Championships against former Champ, Matt Kenway and a new partner of his choosing!

HRW Tag Team Championship Match!
BabeWatch ( “Simply Irresistible” Brandon Aarons / Brandon “Espy” Espinosa ) Managed by Garret “Freakin” Williams (c) VS “The Primal Prodigy” Matt Kenway / “The Millennial” Danny Adams

2. After the Wild Main Event at our last Event, where Justin D’Air defeated his former friend, turned Enemy, Mike Outlaw to win The HRW Mayhem Championship, I have decided to make a rule change to The Mayhem Championship as it will now be defended in more than just multiple person matches!

Back in 2005, I, Frank Thurman, ran a Promotion called F.I.S.T. Wrestling in Peoria, Illinois. This Promotion had a Championship called The Specialty Championship. This was a totally new and different Title as it had some specific rules. This Championship could only be defended in some kind of Speciality match, which could be anything from, winner gets 5 minutes with the manager to a 3 way match to a Cage match to a Table match, etc., but there had to be some type of stipulation before the Title could be defended.

The First Athlete to claim The F.I.S.T. Specialty Championship was Now, Wrestling Legend, SharkBoy who defeated Independent Wrestling Legend, Jimmy Jacobs managed by Tank Thurman in a 5 count match, where a 3 count was not good enough, you had to keep your opponent down for a full 5 count!

With this in mind, I have decided to change the Stipulations for The HRW Mayhem Championship!

The HRW Mayhem Title will now have the same stipulations as the Specialty Title! The Mayhem Title can now only be defended in a match with some kind of special stipulations, including multiple person matches!

After watching the last two matches between, Justin and Mike, where they literally left bumps and bruises on each others bodies, I have decided that this conflict between these two Men, needs to end before someone ends up permanently disabled. To that end, I have booked one last match between these two, to hopefully end this once and for all!

HRW Mayhem Championship Match!

Justin D’Air (c) VS Mike Outlaw

From the office’s of PWCS

As we teased last night, the league has decided that in 2017 it is time to introduce a bench mark of singles excellence. This singles champion will serve as a MVP of sorts. It’s holder will be recognized as the best singles wrestler in PWCS. He will be the most valuable wrestler in the league, and assuredly receive secure contracts and bonuses from his team.

The championship will honor not only the past St. Louis Anarchy champions, but all the great champions of the St. Louis area indies of the past. The areas rich history will be honored by the Gateway Heritage Champion.

After his efforts to defeat Gary Jay and Mat Fitchett we recognize Davey Vega as the first Gateway Heritage Champion. We are honored to carry on this rich history.

PWCS Mega Ticket 2016
The 2015 Mega-Ticket combined two companies together for a huge celebration of independent wrestling. 2016, PWCS keeps the celebration alive by combining its two biggest and wildest events into one night of action!

Instead of waiting until January for those two teams to square off though, they will immediately determine the 2016 PWCS Champion that night in the Main Event!

Add in Arik Cannon, Darin Corbin, and Pierre Abernathy’s last singles match versus Gary Jay and you have a night that can only be called the 2016 PWCS Mega-Ticket!

High Risk Wrestling Presents “Final Fight” on Friday, December 2nd, at the Warsaw Community Building in Downtown Warsaw, Missouri! The doors open at 7:00PM and The First Bell is at 8:00PM!

After reviewing the footage from October 21st in the HRW Championship Match, it’s obvious that Tony Kozina’s foot was on the rope before the 3 count!

Therefore, after having two great matches against the Champion and there yet to be a clear winner, Tony Kozina absolutely deserves another rematch!

However, since I had already signed the Championship match for December 2nd, prior to October 21st, it can’t be then.

After Talking with Tony, he said that he doesn’t want to make excuses and doesn’t want anything handed to him.

Per his request, Mr. Kozina will be in a number one contenders match on December 2nd, so that he can earn his way back into Title contention!

His opponent will be named next week!

I can now officially announce the Championship match for “Final Fight”!

Champion, Mike Sydal will have his toughest challenge to date as he will defend against a former ROH World Champion / former TNA – Impact Wrestling World Tag Team Champion, who is known around the World as one of The Best Technical Wrestlers alive today!

Mike Outlaw on Top Once Again – Shorty Biggs Upsets Bumrush Partner Outtkast for the D-1 Title

Posted by flairwhoooooo on August 22, 2016

By Patrick Brandmeyer
Photos Brian Kelley
Complete recap in the future at MWR

“The Don Mega” Shorty Biggs d. Outtkast to win the D-1 Title; Outtkast got a near-fall after his corkscrew moonsault senton, but missed his second attempt at the move. Shorty capitalized with a Paydirt and fireman’s-carry Michinoku Driver for the win over his Bumrush Brother tag team partner (16:05).

DPWAAUGLL-423

Shorty was happy to give his tag team partner his return match for the title…it sounds like it’ll take place at the September 17th show.

Mike Outlaw d. “Dirdey” Jake Dirden to win the Heavyweight Title for the second time. Dirden nearly won by countout after throwing Outlaw over some ringside chairs, but he barely beat the ten-count. The referee was knocked down and Dirden delivered a chokeslam, but there was no one to count the pin attempt. Dirden brought in a chair, but Outlaw dropkicked it back into his face and delivered the High Noon(top-rope elbowdrop) for a close near-fall. An errant Dirden boot felled the referee again and Outlaw hit a middle-rope springboard European uppercut, but Dirden took him out with the chair and a second referee ran in to count…two. Dirden wedged the chair in the corner as the second referee helped the first official back to the dressing room area…but Outlaw reversed an Irish whip into the corner chair, then whacked Dirden twice with the chair. Outlaw followed up with the Mafia Kick and the second referee returned to count…two. Outlaw didn’t waste time and dropped Dirden with a second Mafia Kick, then hit a second High Noon to finally get the win for the title (21:08)!

Outlaw was ecstatic to regain the championship after a year-plus of Dirden dodging him…but he said he wouldn’t be the same kind of champion and offered Dirden a rematch whenever he wanted it. The two shook hands to end the show.

Wrestle Radio’s very own James Head and Jake Ryan Patty with Redwing. Thanks to this podcast and Metro Pro Wrestling the first 200 fans went home with a true collectable.

On Saturday July 30th, 2016 Metro Pro Wrestling handed wrestling fans another stellar card. We had huge stars such as Stevie Richards from ECW and Sonjay Dutt from TNA (Who is now the Global Force Wrestling Champion). There was even a Redwing MWR trading card give away sponsored by the Wrestling Radio Podcast to the first 200 paying fans.

However this night on Saturday July 30th, 2016 was all about President Michael Strider and “The Rebel” Jeremy Wyatt.

As a Wrestling Fan in the Midwest we have watched President Strider and Jeremy Wyatt developed as two of the best Indy Wrestlers around. Going into this match “A War To End It All” President Strider hasn’t wrestled in 4 years this would be Jeremy Wyatt’s last match.

They have torn each other up all over the Midwest, however this rivalry kicked into high gear 2 years ago when President Strider dressed up as a Referee and cost Jeremy Wyatt his Metro Pro Championship to Derek Stone. This lead to the decision for President Strider to make that if Jeremy Wyatt were to loses his next match that he would be done at Metro Pro . President Strider brought in great talent such as Ricky Cruz and Christopher Daniels. For 2 years Wyatt was unbeaten untill April 2016 when Rhino beat Jeremy Wyatt for the Metro Pro Championship that he got back when he dressed up as Rebulucha. President Strider bought the Championship off Rhino. The next month in May, Jeremy Wyatt manipulated President Strider to get one last match in July where it be Jeremy Wyatt vs President Strider in an unsanctioned Street Fight. Metro Pro and not even the State of Kansas would sanction this Fight.

For President Strider this is his first match in 4 years and it lived up to the hype. Jeremy Wyatt for his final match just wanted to kick President Strider’s ass. For years they have been friends, rivals, back to friends and then more hated rivals. As a wrestling fan you have to respect what these brave men have accomplished. President Strider have won Championships and Jeremy Wyatt is the Belt Collector for a reason as he has won Championships everywhere he has competed. These two men fought all over the Turner Rec Center. They went through tables, chairs, and even had a Barbwire baseball bat that was used in horrific fashion. They used every type of weapon you could think of. Jeremy Wyatt made a promise that he would leave President Strider laying in a pool of his own blood. That’s what he did. After making President Strider bleed a lot he hit his Lightening Spiral for the Pin Fall.

I don’t blame Metro Pro or the State of Kansas to not sanction this Fight. It was a War. There was even blood shed all over the hard wood basketball court. For President Strider I have a new found respect for him. I want to thank him for everything he has done and for putting his body through hell for our entertainment!!

The Rebel Jeremy Wyatt, for that to be his last match he most definitely went out with a bang. I want to thank him for the years of entertainment!!

I would like to thank him for each show he stepped up and made each show better.

Thank you Jeremy Wyatt for the memories. You will be Mr. Metro Pro!! Have a Happy Retirement and you will always be Jeremy Wyatt “The Belt Collector”!!
