PWCS Stage Two 2018 June 16th Alton, Illinois Marti Belle + Gary Jay vs Danny Adams

The 2018 Pro Wrestling Championship Series is set to be a historic night of action! On the heels of Stage One which featured huge stars, big announcements and a shocking title change, Stage Two is set to be even bigger!

Paco Gonzales shocked PWCS as he captured the Gateway Heritage Championship from Danny Adams, but the time for celebration is over. Paco will have to defend his title against Blacklist leader Matt Kenway. Kenway is out to prove himself and there’s no better way to do it than capturing the Gateway Heritage Championship.

The Ego Busters vs Submission Squad main event is a match that has been building for multiple seasons. Ever since their first meeting, Gary Jay and Danny Adams have been building a history of knocking each other out cold. At each meeting, Adams and Jay have managed to KO one another without definitively answering who the better man is. The league has decided this issue will be settled once and for all, in a Last Man Standing match!

Star of Mae Young Classic, Impact Wrestling, and NWL Marti Belle will be in the house as well for a night you don’t want to miss!

-”The King Of Chaos” Ricky Cruz d. King Christopher Hargas(w/ Travis Cook) in a cage match after knocking him out with his own chain (10:03). Race & Fender hit the ring to attack Cruz; fan favorites tried to help but The Professionals held them off until they finally broke through.

-Flash Flanagan d. Axeman Marc Houston(w/ Big Daddy) to win the Classic Title for the fourth time. Big Daddy tried to interfere by hitting Flash with the cage door, leading to promoter Herb Simmons ejecting the manager from ringside. As Herb stopped Houston from bringing in his axhandle, he slid Flash’s kendo stick into the cage…a bloody Flash blasted Houston repeatedly with the weapon, ending with a shot to the head before scoring the title-winning pinfall (14:51)!

THE BEARD PRODUCTIONS PRESENTS “REAGAN VS. TATE”

The Beard Productions is pleased to announce “Reagan vs. Tate” on Friday, June 1st, 2018. This professional fighting event, sponsored by The Beard Productions, will feature professional wrestling, boxing, and mixed martial arts. The event will be held at Cahokia Knights of Columbus Hall, located at 100 East Fifth Street in Cahokia, Illinois. Doors open at 7:00 P.M. with a bell time of 8:00 P.M.

This event has already signed several marquee match-ups. In the feature contest of the evening, Collin Reagan will take on Jake Tate in a mixed martial arts contest. These two men have been waiting for years to have the opportunity to face off in one on one competition. They will get their opportunity to settle their issues on Friday, June 1st. In a boxing match, Jason Thompson will face Brandon Dalton. Two professional wrestling matches have also been signed for this event. An extremely intense professional wrestling rivalry will continue as “The Spanish Red Devil” Ricky Rodriguez will take on Tony Esteem. Jimmi LaFleur will also be in action as he takes on Kyle Hammer. Several special guest judges have already been signed for this event as well. Professional mixed martial arts fighter for Shamrock Fighting Championships and St. Louis native Brandon “Quickdraw” Lowe, Dynamo Pro Wrestling heavyweight champion “The Wind of Destruction” Makaze, and “Rough Cut” Rick Ruby have been signed as special guest judges.

A Night with Larry Matysik Delivers Memories that Will Last a Lifetime.

When I heard that my friend and the Voice of the Wrestling at the Chase Larry Matsyik was going to be featured as a special guest at Hey Guys Comedy Club I knew I had to be there. The Midwest is very fortunate to have Matysik accessible to fans to still hear stories firsthand of legendary matches and the top stars to ever enter the ring from the days of the territories.

The event was hosted by wrestling historian and comedian Patrick Brandmeyer, whom just so happens to be a longtime supporter of pro wrestling in the Midwest. An added bonus for fans was the fact that WWE Hall of Famer, Cowboy Bob Orton was to be on hand to see his son Nathan Orton open up with hilarious stand-up comedy.  I was pleas able to meet the son of Sam Muchnick, Dr. Richard Muchnick, who came to enjoy the show with wrestling referee Jay King. I was surprised to learn that he was a Doctor and had spent time stitching up the cuts of the stars of the Chase and the Kiel Auditorium.

Matysik has teamed up with his friend Herb Simmons to promote and announce for Southern Illinois Championship Wrestling in East Carondelet, Illinois while also providing his knowledge and advice to aspiring wrestling for the past four decades. So it was only fitting that Simmons was on stage with Matysik to interview him as the two friends went down memory lane on topics such as Sam Muchnick, Vince McMahon , Mickey Garagiola, Bruno Sammartino, Andre the Giant, Bruiser Brody, Harley Race, Pat O’Connor, the difference between pro wrestling from the past and today.

Larry was also surprised on the night thanks to special guest St. Clair County Chairman Mark Kern who  proclaimed the day as Larry Matysik Day along with a plaque.

At the end of the night Larry was more than happy to take photos, sign autographs and thank his fans and friends for coming on out. I hope that in the future that there will be another night for the fans and myself to enjoy a night with Larry Matysik.

Update on Ultimo Dragon + World League Wrestling Presents Payback 2 in Troy, Mo on June 2nd

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we sincerely regret to announce that Ultimo Dragon and Sonny Onoo will not be able to attend the event on June 2 – WLW Presents Night of the Dragon 2. We are currently working on finding an alternative date for Dragon and Mr. Onoo to attend WLW and it will be announced in the near future along with more information. For all those who have purchased tickets for that event – we will refund your money with no problems. With that being said – WLW will still be running an event on that date of June 2nd. Live professional wrestling will return to the Race Wrestling Arena.

For all those who purchased tickets for Night of the Dragon 2 and would still like to attend the event on June 2nd, we will refund you $5 as ticket prices will be $10 for general admission and $5 for children. A new event flyer will be made and posted by tomorrow.

Again, we sincerely hate that this won’t come to fruition on June 2nd. We hope our fanbase doesn’t lose confidence in us, our wrestlers, staff and our ability.

At the last event in Troy, fans saw Jaden Roller (on his own accord) take a count out loss against REX and leave the ring. Jaden said he didn’t want to comment at this particular moment but will at a time of his choice.

The WLW match making committee has now made the main event official as The Heart Throb will go head to head against The Wrestler for the People in a lumberjack match!
