3XWrestling Brings Explosive Action Back To Des Moines Social Club
Iowa’s Top Wrestling Company Returns With Major Event on June 26
DES MOINES, Iowa – The best professional wrestlers in the Midwest return to action as 3XWrestling (3XW) presents Downtown Destruction at the Des Moines Social Club on June 26.
Now entering its fourth year of providing central Iowans with top-notch entertainment, 3XW’s Downtown Destruction event features two of Iowa’s best wrestlers battling one-on-one for the 3XW Heavyweight title for the first time. “The Rockstar” Jimmy Rockwell, a Carlisle-native and huge fan favorite now in his 11th month as 3XW Cruiserweight champion, challenges Casanova for 3XW’s top prize, the 3XW Heavyweight championship.
“After Casanova injured my good friend “Delicious” Devin Carter last month and put him out of action, I can’t wait to get revenge on his behalf and win my first 3XW Heavyweight title,” Rockwell said.
A total of seven matches fill out the card, including defenses of the 3XW Tag Team and 3XW Pure Wrestling championships. Also on the card is a Midwest wrestling fans’ dream match between highly-talented Davenport-native Shane Hollister and Mike Sydal, brother of WWE star Evan Bourne.
Doors open at 7 p.m. for a 7:30 p.m. start time. The Des Moines Social Club is located at 1408 Locust St. in Des Moines.
Founded in 2005, 3XWrestling, a Des Moines-based organization, has performed in front of packed crowds across Iowa and has been featured on Iowa Public Radio and in publications including Juice and Cityview. 3XW events are held monthly in Des Moines.
3XW and its performers are also heavily involved with charity work – a recent 3XW benefit event in Ottumwa, Iowa featuring one-legged wrestling star Zach Gowen raised over $10,000 to help the family of a young man whose leg was amputated due to his battle with cancer. All proceeds from the event we’re given to the family to offset medical costs, with every wrestler performing voluntarily.
