Missouri Wrestling Revival is featured at Wrestlingtradingcards.com “The Best Information Site of Wrestling Trading Cards on the Net!”

Posted by flairwhoooooo on April 15, 2010

We are honored to be featured at Wrestling trading cards.com.

What you don’t know about Wrestling Trading cards.com? Let’s find out more about them.

About WTC

We collect them, too. Collect what, you say? Wrestling trading cards of course. For years we have found the trading card side of the wrestling hobby something that brought us closer to the action, to the stars themselves. Yes, they hold some kind of monetary value, but that’s not what inspired us to do this website. Other websites feature some of what we are offering, so please
use our Links page to visit those sites. Some of them are the inspiration for this site!

Over the past few years, we have been all over the Internet looking for websites that could helpus gain knowledge as to the wrestling cards we have and for information for the cards we don’thave. The wrestling trading card collecting world doesn’t appear to be as big as sports cardsor even non-sports cards (the latter is what wrestling cards falls under), but we did manage tofind a few places that did a pretty good job of assisting us in our collections. Some of thosesites are listed on our Links page.

Through our World Wide Web travels, we found that there really wasn’t a website strictlydevoted to detailed information and complete checklists to professional wrestling tradingcards. Sure, we found a few sites that had lists of Wants/Needs lists and others that listed lotsof cards, stickers, postcards, game cards, etc., but we really wanted to see a website devotedto putting together “official” checklists for only professional wrestling trading cards. So, we gotthe idea to start our own website dedicated to just these things. We started with our owncollections, detailing every aspect of our cards and started creating this website … onechecklist at a time. Now, we are over 100 checklists and we keep on getting information fromother collectors about other cool card sets.

Everything on this site is done as a labor of love for the hobby. We are not trying to sell
anything or make any money from this site. We simply wanted to create something special forother wrestling trading card collectors.

We hope you enjoy this site and we look forward to hearing from other collectors about whatthey like, don’t like and help support our efforts to bringing the information to other collectors.

You can either email us by using the Contact link above or post your thoughts, ideas, concernson our Message Board.

Our goal is simple … To be the best resource for checklists and information about wrestlingtrading cards anywhere on the Internet.

We would like to thank WTC for having our cards and the checklist at their site as this is another way MWR is doing our best to get the names of the Midwest stars worldwide.

If you are a wrestler that would like to be a part of the MWR Trading card series please contact me at flairwhoooooo@yahoo.com for more information.

The AAPW Champion, "The Serial Thriller" Shane Rich

He’s back!!!! The former All American Wrestling champion Shane Rich fresh of his appearance on WWE Raw made his return this past weekend stunning the 200 plus AAPW Fans by making his presence known by interfering in the brutal Edmund “Livewire” McGuire and Chris Thomas Falls count anywhere match by hitting his former friend McGuire in the head with a chair allowing Thomas to take home the upset win.

Later in the evening “his attorneys got him out of his 90 day suspension early and AAPW had to give him a title match with the Mississipi Madman and Jeremy Wyatt or risk legal ramifications. Rich would seize the opportunity when Jeremy  Wyatt knocked the Mississipi Madman out with his own belt…Rich knocked Wyatt outta the ring and made the cover to become the first ever three time AAPW Champion.

MWR presents MMWA-SICW with the 2009 MWR Promotion of the Year plaque.

On April 3r at a packed house at the South Broadway Athletic Club myself , Head write Kari Williams and fan relations Dubray Tallman was in the middle of the ring with Promoter Tony Costa and Tim Miller with the 2009 MWR Promotion of the Year.

The Promotion of the Year is always the most debated among the MWR Awards committee due to the fact there are so many good promotions running today.

In 2009 MMWA-SICW continued to be one of the top drawing shows in the Midwest. They ran over 30 shows while celebrating their 50 Years at Chase that received a full spread in the St Louis Dispatch did a complete and separate spread on 50 years at the Chase with the old stars such Harley Race, Johnny Valentine, Jack Brisco and new stars in Gary Jackson, the Lumberjacks, Dave Vaughn and more.

The MMWA-SICW was also active in work with the community. Announcer and Executive Director Tim Miller had been instrumental with giving back. MMWA-SICW lent a helping hand in the benefit the family of fallen police officer Julius Moore who was killed due to the result of injuries sustained during an on-duty vehicle accident on Tuesday, October 6, 2009. He was 23 years old. The event raised more than $2200 through food sales alone to benefit Police Officer Julius Moore’s family including his three young children, two sons and a daughter all under the age of 5. The event was covered by the press and over 2,000 people showed up to support the cause.

In 2009 MMWA-SICW have given the fans a chance to meet the stars of wrestling by having Harley race, Dave Hebner, Bob Hardcore Holly, Larry Matysik ,Mickey Garagioloa and most recently the wild popular Baron Von Raschke.

These were just a few of the reason why they were chosen as the MWR Promotion of the year.

Once again we would like to thank MMWA-SICW for their hospitality and I highly recommend that you check out them in 2010.

On a personal note I was very excited to be invited up the commentating booth by Herb Simmons during the title match between Champion Dave Vaughn and Phil E Blunt. I was nervous up till I left the booth so I can’t be honest on how well i did but it was truly a great time .

Look for MWR at a local show near you in 2010.

March 26th IWA Mid-South Photo Recap Sabu vs Prince Ali plus Ryan Phoenix vs Jaysin Strife.

Posted by flairwhoooooo on April 11, 2010

By Brian “Flair” Kelley

MWR fans a week prior to March 26 the real world was kicking me in the rear hard and I knew that I was going to be covering the High Voltage Wrestling show that Saturday but the weekend could not come soon enough. When my good friend Keny asked for me to ride with him to IWA Mid-south in Bellevue Illinois on that Friday there was no way I was going to be able to get off work on time to get to ST Louis to ride with him, so I asked for a quick day off from the boss to get away so I wouldn’t lose my job. The trip was well worth it.

Six hours on the road there I really had no clue who was on the card other than Kahagas, The Hooligans and Ryan Phoenix who I have been dying to see and ECW original Sabu. When I got their I was pleasantly surprised to see that one of my favorites Jaysin Strife would be in action as well as my friend Donnie Peppercricket.

Not only would I get to see Phoenix for the first time another wrestler who has been on my checklist to see would be in action with Prince Ali taking on Sabu. This would also be my first chance to check out Nick Cage, Sal Thomaselli and Devon Moore. The Midwest sweetheart Santana G took on her rival Jessika Haze while Neil Diamond Cutter and Matt Cage tore each other apart.

I would like to thank Keny for the offer to check out this exciting show and IWA-Mid South for their hospitality.

Sat back and check out the sights of IWA –MS
