I have been involved in pro wrestling for over 10 years and creating art professionally for 13 years now . The Letterman Era Is Upon Us – Todd Letterman is the First NWL STL Champion

Just in case you are one of the few that did not hear Todd Letterman proclaim loudly to NWL correspondent Marti Belle that the Letterman era has begun, this is an bonus warning to all NWL wrestlers from MWR .
Letterman showed off his athleticism, power and perseverance in classic matches during the NWL STL tournament against Skyler Beckett, Marcellus Gaines, Mathew Grundy and then a brutal war with Maverick in the finales that sealed his name in the history books.
When the year started MWR announced that he was one of the 2016 MWR Future Stars of the Year, Todd Letterman would be a star. Little did we know that Letterman would be the man to make history as the first ever NWL STL Championship.
We have a lot of respect for Letterman who has been trained under former ROH WORLD Champion Michael Elgin, took advantage of the Harley Race WLW, WWE, Noah camp and last year wrestled in Europe . No one else looks like him and I can’t say enough about how much upside he has in years to come. .
With that said, we have not been impressed with his attitude and actions as of late in interviews and in the ring, but there is no denying that he is well deserving of being the NWL STL Champion.
Look for updates at MWR on who the new champ will face in his first defense. Will it be Maverick (who had just won a huge match earlier last night against Cornell Douglass, prior to the clash with Letterman for the title) get a rematch and end the era before it gets rolling, or is 2017 the year of the “5 star Phenom” Todd Letterman and we will just have to deal with it?

Have you always dreamed of stepping inside the squared circle? Come by Saturday, April 15th for our womens tryout at our new NWL Training & Performance Center. Our very own Marti Belle Fan Page, Mia Yim / Jade , and head trainer Derek Stone will be leading the tryout.
The seminar runs from noon until 3pm. Cost is just $50. There has never been an event like this for women in the mid west, Don’t miss your chance to learn and perhaps be a part of the NWL!

Cape Championship Wrestling has been entertaining wrestling fans in southeast Missouri, southern Illinois and western Kentucky for nearly a year. CCW will have a big presence at this year’s Cape Con event. On Friday, April 21 it’s ladies night as CCW teams up with Madman Pondo for Girl Fight. It’s the first ever Luna Vachon Memorial Tournament.
Then on Saturday, April 22 it’s the CCW Super Show. You’ll see all the stars of CCW including champion Brandon Barbwire, tag champs Farmer Billy Hills & Dell Tucker and Austin Lane. Plus guests scheduled to appear include Colt Cabana, Joey Ryan and Jeff Cobb. The company’s COO Jason Wells explains more in today’s podcast.
Stride Pro Wrestling is working on a big show in May. It includes a TLC match for the Stride Pro Wrestling championship as Heath Hatton defends against Roger Matheus. And former WWE Superstar (Brodus Clay) Tyrus will also be on hand.
It’s a great time for indy wrestling. Come out and support the men and women of the mat. Thanks!

The Anti Social Network def The Soldiers when Tommy Flagg pinned Dez Wellston with his feet on the ropes.
Skyler Beckett def Adam Ryan of The Underground following a schoolboy roll up.
“Greatness” Marcellus Gaines def Jay Lutz following hitting Lutz with the Southside Shiver Left hand.
Kyle O’Reilly def Davey Gibson via submission in an instant classic following a cross arm breaker. Great match with lots of counter wrestling and hard strikes.

Christian Adonis Def Javy Torres. Post match Skyler Beckett came out and asked that Javy join the Buddy System.
NWL KC vs NWL STL Showcase Match: Jet and Jax Royal came to the ring and said because they didn’t have an opponent for the evening that they were going to put on a workout exhibition. The lights went off and Jack Foster made his way to the ring to represent FightSTL.
Jack Foster def Jet Royal following a vicious big boot. The crowd went crazy for the debuting Foster as he made short work of Jet Royal.
Todd Letterman def Matthew Grundy to advance to the finals of the STL Title Tournament. Great match to close the show.
Crowd was great all night and the STL roster continues to shine.
