Missouri Rankings Update: Mike Outlaw is champion, new title match rules, and… The Math Magician?!

The new Official Missouri Rankings list, good through the end of 2021, has been calculated and published. Head over to the MO Rankings page for the latest publication. To qualify for the Top 10, a wrestler must have the highest ratings with consistent activity (RD ≤ 175). Rankings are published every two months.

MOVEMENTS & EXPLANATIONS
CMike Outlaw defeated #2Moses to become the first Missouri Heavyweight Champion since October 2019. He has undisputed claim to being not just Saint Louis’s best, but now Missouri’s best. He also holds the WrestleMax STL River City and Crown of Glory Championships.
#1The Math Magician is the number one contender. While perhaps unexpected, the popular Magician is a proven winner. Recent victories over #6Derek Teter and Jayden Dominic Rose led him to emerge at the top of our list. Parents like him too.
And now, for an adjustment…
Since 2015, the Missouri title has been on the line in every singles bout that the champion wrestles in the State. After analysis of title changes from 2015-19 (specifically upsets), Brian Kelley and Ben Simon have determined to give the MWR champ a break and increase the value of the rankings system.
Going forward, the title will always be on the line when the Missouri champion wrestles a current Top 10 contender. The contender has earned it; no ifs, ands, or buts.
For all other singles matches, it is at the champion’s discretion whether the crown is on the line. While the opponent has not necessarily earned the right to wrestle for and win the MWR belt, our champion may use it to even stakes in challenges, double title matches, etc.

Dynamo Pro Wrestling Strange Brew and 4 Hands Brewery: Dynamo Pro Champ Adrian Surge vs. MWR Missouri King Mike Outlaw

Mike Outlaw made history on October 22nd by winning the vacant MWR Missouri Heavyweight Championship at Dynamo Pro Wrestling in Affton, Missouri. “The General of the Bandana Brigade” defeated the young and talented “Deliverer” Moses.
Two days later, Mike Outlaw returned to Dynamo Pro Wrestling for the annual 4 Hands Brewery and Strange Donuts co-promotion at the historic South Broadway Athletic Club.
Outlaw has been on fire in 2021, already reigning as the prestigious Glory Pro Champion and WrestleMax STL River City Champion. As the Sunday event started, ring announcer Chris Roedel stated that the main event for the afternoon was a title vs. title battle pitting Outlaw against Dynamo Pro Wrestling Champion Adrian Surge.
Outlaw is a former two-time Dynamo Pro Champion. First defeating Ricky Cruz in Fenton, Missouri and then in Wood River, Illinois that secured his award as the 2016 MWR Wrestler of the Year.
With a win Sunday, Outlaw would become a quadruple champion; or would Adrian “Lights Out” Surge become a double champion and take the wind out of Outlaw’s sails.
Cold beer, donuts, and a ton of old and new fans got to witness why both of these men are considered two of the very best in the region. In and out of the ring they beat and battered one another with both men coming within moments of sealing the deal to get the 1-2-3.
With a 15-minute time limit, the pair desperately fought to get the edge but time ran out. Fans can only hope for a rematch in the future.
