The action in Ringside Championship Wrestling heats up with this episode from Richland, MO! Former WWE Tag Team Champion Trevor Murdoch makes a special announcement regarding the future of the RCW Heavyweight Championship plus the high flying Air Raid takes on “Superstar” Steve Fender in the first round of the RCW Richland Rumble Invitational Tournament.“The Rock N’ Roll Millennial” Danny Adams also gives his thoughts on his forthcoming tournament match with “KB Violence” Karim Brigante, but is interrupted by Brigante’s partner-in-crime Miss Monica Passeri! Original TV Air Date: April 1, 2018
Missouri State king Karim Brigante defends his MWR title for the third time in as many weeks on Saturday, April 7. “The Suplex Cyclone” Curt Gannon is the challenger. The New Breed Wrestling event is at Fair Grove High School in Fair Grove, Mo.
The bout will be a strap match, where both men are connected at the wrists by a long leather strap. The way to win is by tapping each top turnbuckle pad in succession, without the opponent interrupting.
As a side note, Gannon is the GWF champion. On March 31, Brigante earned a GWF title shot. This match at New Breed is not for the GWF title. Brigante (with or without the MO belt) will face Gannon for the GWF belt in the future.
The NBW championship is on the line when former champ Steve Fender gets a rematch against Kyle Roberts. Roberts won the title in a best-of-3 falls match on March 24.
-Karim Brigante(w/ Women’s ChampionMiss Monica Passeri) d. “The” Ace Hawkins to win the MWR Missouri Title; Monica stopped Ace from walking out on the match, leading to Karim winning with the pop-up forearm smash (12:53).
–”The Heartthrob” Jaden Roller(w/ “Can-Do” Curtis Dearling) d. “The Wrestler For The People” Rex Fults. “The Mouth Of The South” Jimmy Hart stopped Curtis from using his briefcase as a weapon, but the outside distraction allowed Roller to blindside Rex with his own nightstick behind the referee’s back for the cheap win (11:10).
–Jayden Dominic Rose d. Jack Gamble in a strap match to retain the Jr. Heavyweight Title. Gamble nearly won, but Rose spit mist in Gamble’s eyes before tagging the four turnbuckles for the win (16:38).
–Miss Monica Passeri d. Savanna Stone with a tilt-a-whirl takedown into a Fujiwara armbar to retain the Women’s Title (8:56); Stacey O’Brien was the special guest referee. After the match, Stacey decked Monica and nearly left with the belt before Monica got it back and chased her out of the ring.
-”The Hybrid Ace” Jon Webb d. “The Legacy” Leland Race(w/ “Can-Do” Curtis Dearling) in a no-DQ match to win the Heavyweight Title; Race missed a swing with a chair and it rebounded off the top rope into his face. Webb capitalized with the Asai DDT for the title-winning pinfall (20:48).
–”Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner & Kyle Roberts d. “Superstar” Steve Fender & Brandon Espinosa to win the Tag Team Titles. Fender & Espy attacked Steiner with chairs and destroyed his leg before the bell, leaving Roberts to fight alone for most of the match. As Roberts got an opening, Steiner limped to ringside and threw in a chair, which Roberts used to take out Espy with a Van Daminator behind the referee’s back! That allowed Roberts to pin Espy to win the belts for his unlikely tag team (16:17)!
The GWF: Global Wrestling Federation returns to the Kansas City area on Saturday, March 31 at the National Guard armory in Independence, Mo.
One of the featured bouts is Karim Brigante defending his Missouri Heavyweight title against KCMO’s own J. Savage. Savage is on a five-match winning streak, earning this opportunity by beating Graham Bell last month. The winner of Saturday’s bout will be next to challenge Curt Gannon for the GWF title.
The match is Brigante’s second defense, Savage’s first shot, and the first time the GWF has hosted the coveted crown.
Only a few more days to wait until the stars of Dynamo Pro Wresting are back in action at the Concordia Turners Gymnasium. Tickets are only $10 in advance and can be purchased online at http://www.dynamoprowrestling.bigcartel.com
