New Breed: “KB Violence” Brigante, “Suplex Cyclone” Gannon in strap match for MO Title in Fair Grove, April 7
Posted by Ben Simon on April 1, 2018
Missouri State king Karim Brigante defends his MWR title for the third time in as many weeks on Saturday, April 7. “The Suplex Cyclone” Curt Gannon is the challenger. The New Breed Wrestling event is at Fair Grove High School in Fair Grove, Mo.
The bout will be a strap match, where both men are connected at the wrists by a long leather strap. The way to win is by tapping each top turnbuckle pad in succession, without the opponent interrupting.
As a side note, Gannon is the GWF champion. On March 31, Brigante earned a GWF title shot. This match at New Breed is not for the GWF title. Brigante (with or without the MO belt) will face Gannon for the GWF belt in the future.
The NBW championship is on the line when former champ Steve Fender gets a rematch against Kyle Roberts. Roberts won the title in a best-of-3 falls match on March 24.
