NWA Dynamo Pro – Wrestles for a new Heart for Jimmie Bass January 31 in Ottawa Kansas

Posted by flairwhoooooo on January 11, 2009

dynamo-pp
Christmas time has come and gone, your family and friends have come together in the season of giving. Pro Wrestling has a long history of giving not only during the Christmas season throughout the year. During the year there are many wrestling company’s support fundraisers. They include Toys for Tots, school functions, Relay for life, just to name a few. The wrestlers and the company involved take great pride on helping others. The relationship between the wrestling community and their fans are like none other.

Just prior to Christmas, a tragedy in the Nilwood Illinois when a fire caused a family to not only lose their house but sadly the mother. New Midwest Wrestling quickly stepped and promoted a show to help raise funds for the family.

This past weekend my heart was touched when Larry Barber and NWA-Dynamo Pro Wrestling brought to my attention a fundraiser they were doing for a young boy named Jimmie. Larry also sent me pictures and here is the heartfelt letter that his grandmother Charlene Bernabe sent.

Larry,
Jimmie Bass is a 5 yr. old little boy from Ottawa awaiting a heart transplant. He is now on a heart pump and cannot leave the hospital in Iowa City Iowa until he receives a new heart. He was born with 3 chambers to the heart. The arteries were all routed backwards at birth. Causing the blood to bypass the lungs. He also had a hole in 2 of the chambers. He has undergone several open heart surgeries to try to help fix this problem, but it was not successful. There was too high of pressure in the heart. His heart just was not able to go anymore, that is why he is on a pump. There is a web site that has a video about lil Jimmie and the pump, due to it is not FDA approved. You may get it at KGAN CBS 2 go to there website and scroll down on the top stories called….”A NEW HEART FOR JIMMIE”. Thanks for all your help. Charlene Bernabe

Jimmie Bass enjoys a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Clause in the hospital.

Not only will you have the opportunity to help out Jimmie Bass but you also will get to see some of the best wrestling in the Midwest.

Jeremy “The Rebel” Wyatt vs. Former WWE and ECW Superstar Al Snow

Al Snow is well rounded with years of experience; he was one half of the former WWE Tag team champions (with Mick Foley), he can beat you in many ways. Snow was recently seen in TNA when he helped Kurt Angle defeat Rhino by distracting and slapping special guest enforcer in the face.

Wyatt was able to get the victory in a hard hitting match in November when he defeated ROH Superstar Davey Richards in a brutal hard hitting match Will Wyatt’s intensity be used against him by the wily veteran? This should be wrestling classic.

NWA Kansas Championship rematch
Kansas Champion #1 Brett Young vs. Tyler Cook.

There last match in Pomona Kansas, earned them the match of the month for November. Young was able to walk out with the Kansas Championship that night. Cook was able to impress the NWA that he was deserving of another chance to win the belt. This rematch has many interesting questions surrounding it. Young has years of experience to his advantage, was he showing all that he had to offer in that match. Cook on the other hand had his most profiled match against Young and came very close to winning. Will Cooks confidence be at such a high level that the Champion can not overcome the energy that the contender brings?

Tag Team Rematch
“The Ego Express” (Steven Kennedy & KC Karrington)
vs “The LONRS” (Mark Sterling & Darrien Sanders)

Shorty Biggs vs. Billy McNeil

Donovan Riddick vs. Trent Stone

Kraig Keesman vs. Domino Rivera

Adam Rich vs. Mike Sydal

Davey Vega vs. Pierre Abernathy

Thank you to LWA.

Posted by flairwhoooooo on January 9, 2009

We would like to thank Lethal Wrestling Alliance, Jeremy Wyatt and Tyler Black their part in the Midwest dream match last Saturday night in O’Fallon IL. A great night of wrestling with a fun filled crowd proves that the wrestling in the Midwest is moving in the right direction in 2009.

For the LWA Champion Jeremy Wyatt 2009 started out the same as the year ended, as a friend of mine would say “the second verse was the same as the first”. Wyatt was triumphed over the Ring of Honor superstar Tyler Black in a match that showed why each man is considered two of the top rising stars in the sport. The match more than lived up to the expectations and I would not be surprised if this was the first of many encounters between Black and Wyatt.

To celebrate the first LWA double shot weekend, Missouri Wrestling Revival gave away two MWR T-shirts that was drawn out during intermission by LWA’S Paul Parker. Congratulations to Big Al and Mieisha Bell for being the lucky winners of the exclusive MWR T-Shirts.

Mieisha Bell, Brian "Flair" Kelley, "Big Al" Alan Jansen

Once again thank you to everyone at LWA for their hospitality, patience and friendship on January 3rd. We look to continue to support LWA and Pro Wrestling in the Midwest in the future.

Your next chance to win a MWR T-shirt is this weekend at High Voltage Wrestling in Granite City. We hope to see you there.

Exclusive update on High Voltage Wrestling –Donovan Ruddick out of action!

Posted by flairwhoooooo on January 7, 2009

high-voltage
MWR has just heard from the HVW management that the High Voltage Wrestling Champion Donovan Ruddick will be unable to defend his title this Saturday in Granite City IL due to an injury suffered this past weekend in LWA against Mark Sterling .

This will have severe ramifications for the The Magic Man. Last month at High Voltage Wrestling, The Magic Man had turned on his protégé Kahagas to assist “The Future” Donovan Ruddick win the title.

Now the Magic Man’s worst nightmare has now happened, the Japanese Nightmare Kahagas will be hell bent on destroying the man who betrayed him and the Magic Man is without his Champion. I was able to catch up with the Magic Man to ask him who would he get to replace the most powerful man in the Midwest “the Future” Donovan Ruddick?

He had this to say “I am the most powerful man in the Midwest and it didn’t take me long at all to find the man who is capable of beating anyone on the planet, Dingo. Dingo is able to beat you in many many ways, he can tap you out or hit you so many times with his blazing speed you might just think its magic. Kahagas this weekend in Granite City you will want to do a disappearing act of your own.”

Also of note High Voltage Wrestling star Rick Stone will not be in action due to injuries unknown at this time.

Don’t miss this weekend when Dingo takes on Kahagas!!!
Wicked Stiff Johnson & Keny G vs. Mephisto & Kris Synz in a Cage Match.
Female sensation JessiKa HaZe will be in action.
The LONRS will take on the mysterious and the unknown Blackhearts.
This and much more.

Go to High Voltage Wrestling for more info on this must see show.

MWR Spotlight: Cecil Cerveza

Posted by flairwhoooooo on January 4, 2009

Cecil Cerveza

m_3441e19ed358200500c1cdafe4718555

The Dominican Prince of Central States Wrestling

Years in wrestling– 4 Years

Current organizations– NBWA, SLW, GAW, NGW, HVW

Titles held:

NBWA Heavyweight

NBWA Midwest

NBWA No limits

GAW Central States

Finishing maneuver Roll of the dice (Inside out neck breaker)

Favorite moves– Diving head butt, High knee in corner, Fireman’s gut buster, Rock bottom backbreaker

I had an opportunity to see the self proclaimed Dominican Prince of Central States Wrestling for first time live this past fall when High Voltage Wrestling invited New Breed Wrestling Alliance to be part of the HVW 6 man tag invitational. New Breed took this challenge seriously and sent three of their best, Jon Divosi, Aaron Mathews and Cecil Cerveza. They were able to defeat HVW’S Bandana Mafia (Pierre Abernathy, Evan Gelistico, & Davey Vega) with an arsenal of quick and stunning moves in an exciting match. I was impressed with what I saw, and wanted to know more of this exciting young wrestler.

I would like to thank you Cecil for taking the time to talk with MWR today.

It’s my pleasure.

How long have you been wrestling and where did you get your start?

I started at Heartland Championship Wrestling in Dixie Arkansas.  At HCW, Austin Lane, Max Mayhem and Reggie Munsker trained me from the start. Since then I have learned greatly from TJ Leitzen.

Growing up who did you look up to in wrestling?

The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels and Sting

For fans, whom have never seen the Dominic Prince, what best describes the style of wrestling that you bring to the ring?

Chris Benoit mixed with CM Punk for the most part.

Who did you have your first match with?

I wrestled Jon Divosi at the young age of 18.

You were able to defeat Jason Vendetta in a best of 3 series in 2005, What are your memories of them matches, and your thoughts on Vendetta at the present?

Vendetta I’ve known him for a very long time, I know his moves and what he is capable of. I felt as if the best of 3 matches with Vendetta were just a way of showing fans what the new kid in the ring can do.

At NBWA’S  Disposable Teams on October 30, 2005 You defeated Vic “The Pitbull” Santelli & Pain Train in a four corners match to win the NBWA Heavyweight Championship when Jason Vendetta interfered and delivered the Detonator to Pitbull.

Your very first title belt, what do you remember about that historic match?

(Laughing ) Honestly, I remember that I almost broke my damn back Because Pain Train power bombed me from inside the ring to the outside on the apron on the floor in a nasty drop.  I was able to recover for the victory, words can not express the happiness that I felt at that moment.

Less than a year later at NBWA Survival of the Fittest: June 4, 2006 –you would go on to show your potential when you defeated Wild Bill, Shark Boy, & Adam Evans by pinning Shark Boy with a backslide. A big victory for you at the time, what do you feel gave you the edge against 3 of NBWA’S finest?

Entering the match, I was one of the underdogs along with fellow NBWA wrestler Wild Bill. The credentials of Adam Evans and Shark Boy are well known. I saw an opportunity and I took advantage of it for the win. I am grateful for having the chance to have been in the ring with all three of them.

At NBWA at the last show Danny Bashem & Jeff Harris got the win on you and Tracy Smothers in a rabid crowd of close to 800 people. How exciting was it to work with two wrestlers who have been around the world? Last but not least what did you learn from working.

That match will go down as one of my favorite’s jus because of the whole environment and the fact that we were able to set the standards in the opening match.

Who would you like to have a match with on the indie scene that you have not had a chance to yet.

The  wrestler I’d like to have a match with would have to be TNA star Senshi, reason for this is he was in Japan a long time and he learned a lot so it would benefit me to learn from him a strong style wrestling that I enjoy.

Who have you felt in the past four years have given you the most trouble in the ring? (your arch enemies )

I’d have to say Vendetta and Pitbull at times, but the wrestler I feel that has been a thorn in my side is most defiantly Jon Divosi. In the ring, we steal the show and always happen to get the best out of  each other. I hate to admit it, but in 4 years Divosi and I have went at it on several occasions and I’ve still yet to beat him.

What do you feel that you have to do to work on to become one of the best in the Midwest?

As with most young wrestlers I feel as if I need to work more matches in as many areas as possible. I also know that I need to continue to workout.

What match has been your favorite up to this point of your career?

I have to say my match with Deadly Dale at “Extreme invasion” at Watseka, IL. What made that match so special to me was I got severely injured but was still able to put on one of hell of a match.

As 2008 comes to a close, and 2009 is upon us what goals does the Dominic Prince have for the upcoming year?

I hope to continue succeeding where I am at and look forward to working with other companies as well to get my name out there to prove that I am one of the best in the Midwest.

For information to book the Dominic Prince of Central States Wrestling go to Cecil Cerveza.

Cecil will be in action this Saturday at High Voltage Wrestling in Granite City and Sunday at New Breed Wrestling Alliance in Danville IL
