Doing research of the wrestler known as Redwing on Facebook this quote stuck out to me “I am going to the corner of the gym where the big men train. Through a cloud of chalk, and the midst of pain. Where big iron rides high, and threatens lives.”

Though the quote may be a cliché promo, the amount of talent and charisma bursting out of the Nebraska native is highly impressive from start to finish. Redwing is a beast in the weight room, and stared as a linebacker for Peru State for four years before turning his head towards pro wrestling.

Training under the very talented pro wrestlers Mark McDowell and Jaysin Strife, Redwing was able to learn how to use his power from McDowell and his amazing speed from Strife and it is evident that he is a quick learner.

A promoters dream with his size, Redwing has just got his feet wet in 2015, but was very impressive throughout the MWR Coverage area as he captured belts and picked up wins against many of the best in the Midwest.

It is with great pleasure that we are to name Redwing as the 2015 MWR Future Star of the Year.

2015 Missouri Wrestling Revival Tag Team of the Year High Level Enterprise (Jack Gamble & Jon Webb)

Individually the team known as High Level Enterprise, Jon Webb and Jack Gamble are very capable of stealing the show as they had in 2015 in two great matches. At Gateway Elite Wrestling, Gamble picked up a huge win against Elvis Aliaga while Jon Webb had a truly awesome match at Metro Pro Wrestling against Ring of Honor superstar ACH.

Prior to 2015, the duo started their foundation of wrestling knowledge under the watchful eye of 8-time NWA World Champion Harley Race at World League Wrestling as well as participating in the annual WLW/WWE/NOAH camps with the best minds in the business yesterday and today.

That would lead Jon Web to travel to Japan to train at the NOAH Dojo in 2013 as Jack Gamble recovered from a horrific car wreck that sidelined him in an accident that put his career in peril.

Gamble and Webb would not win this year’s award thanks to their past accomplishments or a sympathy vote, but by striving to become great. In 2015, they held onto the World League Wrestling tag team Championships to start the year then moved on to feud with their arch rivals the Black Hand Warriors at Dynamo Pro Wrestling on the way to becoming the DPW Tag Team Champions.

The duo would not only be invited back to Japan for NOAH, but would also be showcased in several matches from April 11th till June 15th.

Back in the states they would continue to find success in new areas and opponents as they debuted for Proving Ground Pro and High Risk Wrestling.

MWR would like to congratulate High Level Enterprise for a huge 2015 and we are proud to honor them as the MWR Tag Team of the Year.

2015 Missouri Wrestling Revival Wrestler of the Year Jeremy Wyatt

In 2015 many wrestlers in the Midwest deserved to win awards by having great matches, earning accolades and drawing big crowds all around the Midwest. That could not have been done if the talent was not delivering in the ring having fans counting the days till the next event.

Jeremy Wyatt first won the MWR Wrestler of the Year award in 2008 when he earned the nickname the Belt Collector by capturing belts throughout the Midwest. Since that time he has been in the running for the same award every year as he delivered excellent matches and built a fan base through cheers and hate throughout the Midwest.

In 2015, Jeremy Wyatt once again filled the arenas with historic matches and feuds while being showcased in 23 main events in 5 of the MWR promotions including his home of Kansas City, as well as Des Moines, Iowa, Granite City, Illinois and Council Bluffs Iowa.

His feud with Metro Pro Wrestling commissioner Michael Strider has lead to huge matches with the likes of Christopher Daniels, Matt Striker, Ricky Cruz, Christian Rose, Ace Steel and has involved Jim Cornette to  help spearhead wrestling back to life in Kansas City. He represented 3XW as their champion against the like of Rory Fox while  feuding with his often friend/rival Mark Sterling in a dog collar ladder No DQ match and an 80 Minute Iron Man match, while facing Hype Gotti in a loser leaves PWP match in July.

In St. Louis, Wyatt found himself drawing red hot heat from the fans at St. Louis Anarchy and PWCS as he battled Colt Cabana while testing his skills against KC Karrington, Makaze,  & Steven Kennedy in the main events.

There is talks that Jeremy Wyatt is close to calling it a career, but if anything is clear it is that his impact on the MWR Coverage area is still being felt in 2015 and beyond.
