The new Official Missouri Rankings list, good through February, has been calculated and published.  Head over to the MO Rankings page for the latest publication.  To qualify for the Top 10, a wrestler must have the highest ratings with consistent activity (RD ≤ 200).  Rankings are published every two months.

MOVEMENTS & EXPLANATIONS

^CRicky Cruz has defended the MWR Missouri Heavyweight Championship three times.  The last two defenses were no contests due to interference by ^#1Jake Dirden.

Speaking of “Dirdey,” Jake put newcomer Ric Maverick out with the Asiatic spike recently, and the perennial #1 has his eyes set on a rematch with Cruz on January 9.  The bout will be for both the Missouri and Dynamo Pro titles.

^#2Gary Jackson beat Kevin Lee Davidson twice this period, reclaiming the MMWA Heavyweight Championship.  Davidson quit South Broadway out of frustration, and “Night Train” remains at the silver place.

A new face suddenly emerges onto the list after two big victories for ^#3Brian James.  First, James beat the Mongolian maniac Attila Khan in under five minutes in a Loser Leaves Town match to win the MMWA TV belt.  Then, “Da Bomb” James used illegal leverage to keep Moondog Rover’s shoulders down.  Brian James’s tactics and attitude may be souring, but the changes seem to work.

The Moondog is dropped from the rankings due to a time limit draw against the much-lower rated Barackus and the aforementioned loss to James.

^#4Everett Connors stays put for now, even though “Risky Business” seemingly has no intention to return to Missouri.  The objective mathematics allow him to remain.

^#5Evan Morris hops up one spot after pinfall victories over Marcello Spade and Jayson Khaos.  He would have advanced further, if not for his disqualification loss against his mysterious masked assailant at Central-States.  Morris challenged for the State title against Cruz in November, but the match was ruined by Dirden’s interference.

^#6Leland Race rises two spaces after competing twice in one night.  He pinned ^#9Jon Webb (who stays at that position), but then lost his WLW Heavyweight Championship to Trevor Murdoch, thanks to Murdoch’s stablemate Steve Fender.

^#7Mike Outlaw climbs three rungs upward with some helpful slips from other contenders.  All Outlaw did in these two months was beat Brandon Espinosa by DQ.  However, a comparison to some other wrestlers’ movements made for Mike’s significant jump.

^#8Kyle Roberts had a three bump setback due to an upset loss against Fender.

The Iceman has been dropped for his six-month inactivity.  This helps some advance and makes room for ^#10A.J. Williams.  Williams still claims he is the uncrowned MMWA champ and will probably challenge for the belt soon.
