Stacey O’Brien becomes the first ever wrestler to be a two time MWR recipient in the singles category.

O’Brien returned in 2011 after an injury had sidelined her since 2009 with a mission to regain her spot as the women to beat in the Midwest.

To say that she is better than before would be an understatement as she has been touring the Midwest breaking young fans hearts and bringing fear in her opponents.

O’Brien has been on fire capturing wins against the likes of rising star Lucy Mendez to start the year at Metro Pro Wrestling.

In April, in Collinsville Illinois, High Voltage Wrestling presented a supershow with Larry Zbyszko and a special first time meeting between Santana G with special guest Dave Hebner as the referee . While Santana G looked to celebrate her homecoming back to the Midwest, it would be Stacey O’Brien to put an end to the party when she had her hand raised once again in a true classic battle of two of the best young talents in the sport.

During a memorable moment in hot month of July, Stacey O’Brien, turned the heat up even more as she had the men’s mouths drop as she came out in a sexy Metro Referee outfit to restore order in a match between Lucy Mendez and Miss Natural.

Back in action O’Brien would come back to St Louis the South Broadway Athletic Club for the MMWA and capture a victory from arch rival Mendez, though Mendez would even the score at SICW later in the year.

At NWA Dynamo wrestling on August 8th in Glen Carbon Illinois, Stacey O’Brien would take the NWA Midwest Women’s Champ MsChif to the test in a great battle that saw MsChif use her “Green Mist” to score a victory to retain her belt.

O’Brien and her arch rival Mendez would go at it all year in World League Wrestling around the Midwest. In Burlington, Iowa on September 18th the WLW Women’s title was declared vacant and it would be the Boston Bawler who would become a 3-time WLW Ladies Champion.

In October she took part in the WLW/WWE/NOAH week long training camp to improve her skills, to get noticed and to be the best that she can be.

There is no doubt that in 2010 pro wrestling in the Midwest missed the talents of Stacey O’Brien. Fans in the Midwest enjoy her while you can as she has the work ethic to make waves in Shimmer, Japan, TNA or even WWE in the near future.
