At Total Nonstop Wrestling’s fan interaction at the Ameristar Casino in ST Charles Missouri on April 17th. During the festivities that included a meet and greet with some of the top pro wrestling stars in the world today. Nick Ridenour and I presented wrestling greats Ric Flair, Dory Funk JR, Bobby “The Brain Heenan”and Baron Von Raschke with their St. Louis Wrestling Hall of Fame Plaques.
The St Louis Wrestling Hall of Fame can be seen at the Historic South Broadway Athletic Club in St Louis Mo 7th & Shenndoa. Fan that would like to check out the next wrestling show will be on May 8th at 7 pm.
The ST Louis Wrestling Hall of fame was opened in 2007 by former owner and promoter of the St. Louis Wrestling Club Larry Matysik. He has been joined by directors promoters Tony Costas Herb Simmons, webmaster Mitch Martsey, sports journalist Keith Schildroth, and longtime fan Nick Ridenour. Although these directors oversee the selection process, the St. Louis Wrestling Hall of Fame is unique because it is the only wrestling hall of fame that allows fans to vote for potential inductees
A dream came true for me at Total Nonstop Wrestling’s Fan Interaction in ST Louis on April 17. I was honored when my friend from the St Louis Hall of Fame Nick Ridenour asked me to present one of the greatest NWA World Champions of all time Dory Funk JR, the one and only Bobby the Brain Heenan and Baron von Raschke their St Louis Wrestling Hall of fame plaques live during the TNA Legends main event that also included Jimmy Hart, Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair and Sting.
To say that I was nervous would be an understatement but it will be a day that I will never forget and will always be grateful for. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the members of the ST Louis Wrestling Hall of Fame committee
After we were done Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s Jeff Ruoss was on hand to present Funk Jr, Heenan, Raschke and Hart their Lifetime achievement awards.
World League Wrestling fans can vouch that Santana G can win the hearts of fans in just one glance. Santana G not only threw out the MWR T-SHIRT to two lucky fans she debuted the Santana G MWR Trading card. Yes that is right she has her very own trading card and for a sneak peak all you have to do is go to our friends at Wrestling Trading Cards.com as she is featured along with the MWR Cards on the front page along with the top women in the sport of MsChif.
This weekend she went toe to toe with WLW Ladies Champion Amy Hennig on Friday and Saturday nights and giving Amy Hennig an opponent that could be her rival for years to come. Ric Flair had Harley Race, Ricky Steamboat and Sting. Amy’s dad the great Curt Hennig had Bret Hart, Nick Bockwinkel and Shawn Michaels
Now we all can look forward to Amy Hennig vs. Santana G. Two beauties that take the sport seriously and will make the Midwest wrestling proud. Add in matches with MsChif and the possibility of the return of the 2008 MWR Women’s wrestler of the Year Stacey O’Brien in the fall and it could be a four way race for dominance in the women’s division in 2010.
Look for the full MWR write up debut of Santana G’s card in the future but why wait to see it when you can get a sneak peak at Wrestlingtradingcards.com.
Three more of the most influential wrestlers in ST Louis wrestling history will be honored in the ST Louis Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2010 along with Bobby “the Brain” Heenan who was inducted during the TNA Legends Main event on April 17th in St Charles.

The former 3 time WWE Tag team Champion Trevor Murdoch became the World League Wrestling Champion for the fourth time on Friday evening when he defeated the Powerful Trent Stone in a brutal leather strap match in the Main event.
He would go on to retain the title the very next night in a three way war between Stone and Brian Breaker.
Let’s take a look at the WLW title history of Trevor Murdoch.
1)April 22, 200o in Eldon Missouri defeats Meng for the title. Loses the title to Griz in Osage Beach Missouri on June 17th 2000

Who is the only man to have more WLW Championships than Warrior or Murdoch? Wade Chism.
