Harley Race Beginners 2 day seminar September 2nd and 3rd

Posted by flairwhoooooo on July 24, 2011

Harley Race will be running a beginners 2-day seminar that will teach prospective students who want to pursue their dream of becoming professional wrestlers. The Harley Race Academy produces wrestlers that have reputations that speak for themselves, many of which have landed contracts with W.W.E and other promotions around the world. The Academy is ran by “The King” himself and he has selected top students to help him shape and mold current students of his school into outstanding wrestlers.

The seminar will be held September 2nd, and 3RD (Friday and Saturday respectively). The hours will be from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on both days. At the seminar, Harley and his instructors will be teaching prospective beginners the basics when it comes to ring activity. Along with the in-ring learning you will also be doing multiple –cardiovascular activities which has been designed by Race himself and still teaches at his academy to this day.

This opportunity is being provided to prospective students of the game because there are too many places that take advantage of people wanting to learn the right way. At the Harley Race Wrestling Academy, you will learn the right way with the 8-time Worlds Heavyweight champion himself present. You have the chance to learn the correct way to the craft that gave him 30 years of experience and the respect that only he has obtained.

The price for the seminar is $100.00 per person. This covers the cost of the class itself. Outside cost (food, hotel, travel, ect) would be at that person’s expense. It should also be noted that this seminar is not affiliated with the 11th annual Harley Race Wrestling camp October 17th-21st . However, there will be an opportunity for a student from the seminar to receive a discount to the wrestling camp in October if he or she chooses to attend both. Please note that payment for the camp is to be made at sign in on the first day September 2nd. Please do NOT pay online with our paypal system.

No one saw this team coming and surly not the PWP Champs Chris Havius and Donnie Peppercricket who had just defeated the Beautiful Bodies moments earlier. Yet, Zac James surprised everyone when he cashed in his chance at any PWP belt right on the spot with his partner Ryan Slade . The results NEW PWP Tag team champions.

Since then, James and Slade along with manager Axel Greece has surprised many as they have successfully defended the PWP Tag Team titles more than any other tag team in that promotion.

Can any tag team stop Slade and James in 2011?

Canada’s Ryan Slade and AJ Smooth has been a force to reckon with as they have caused trouble at  3XWrestling and MECW. Always in great condition Slade and Smooth used their stamina to their advantage in some very big wins including a MECW Tag Team Championship.

In March of 2009 during a Tag Team Gauntlet Match: Sexy and Smooth (“The Canadian Sex Icon” Ryan Slade and A.J. Smooth) defeated Kwongercricket (“The Asian Sensation” Ricky Kwong and “The 80s Pop Icon” Donnie Peppercricket), The Horndogs (Maddog McDowell and Krotch) and The High Flyers (“The Unbreakable” Zach Thompson and Mike Sydal) to become the No. 1 contenders for the 3XW Tag Team titles held by the Northstar Express.

The duo looked to be poised for many more championships but like many tag teams, differences would surface. During this summer MWR was on hand to witness AJ Smooth win a “shave the sideburns match” over Slade when Tony Sly distracting the ref allowing Smooth to crack him over the head with the Canadian flagpole at 3XW’s Downtown Destruction III.

Next week at 3XWrestling Ryan Slade will attempt to even the score in a Canadian Tuxedo match.

28) Knights Of Fire” (Jaysin Strife & “Golden Boy” Vic Victory)

The exciting Knights of Fire featured Jaysin Strife and Vic Victory, two fan favorites who put their bodies on the line for the fans and their never die attitude kept them in every match.. This duo quickly ended the reign of Simply the Best (Hype Gotti and Tony Cortez) to become the PWP Tag team Champions.

The Knights of Fire would get a top notch victory when they retained the titles from F1RST Family (Arik Cannon and Ryan Cruz) then back that up the next month retaining the titles against “The Passion” Zac James & Preston Maxwell, Jimmy Rockwell & Ricky Kwong, and Brett Young & Mark Sterling in a 4-Way Elimination Match.

The Supergroup known as Murder Miltia would soon come to dominance at this time thus spelling the end of their title reign.

A fan requested that a video or match be added of the teams if I should find one so here you go a music video of PWP’S Year Of The Phoenix IV that included some highlights on the Knights of Fire.

Recently Missouri Wrestling Revival made our way to Wood River Illinois for MECW wrestling to present MECW Champion Bailey Mannix with the 2011 MWR Sexiest Wrestler trophy.

The promotion was the brainchild of MWR’S Dubray Tallman, who asked the fans to vote on who they felt was the sexiest wrestler in the Midwest. Fans around the Midwest voted in February with the electrifying Bailey Mannix receiving the honor of being named the 2011 MWR Sexiest Wrestler of the Year.

Dubray unfortunately could not be there to deliver the prized trophy herself so MWR owner and editor was invited to the ring by MECW announcer MR K prior to the opening match. Kelley let the fans know about the site, the award and then invited the champ to the ring to receive his trophy.

Mannix thanked MWR and most importantly the fans who had voted for him, but before he could be finished Sarin Sinn came from the back demanding to be heard. Sinn quickly let Brian Kelley know that he was not happy at all about not being included for the voting. Brian apologized and stated that it was not meant to be a sign of disrespect.

Sinn continued to yell and berate Brian while poking him in the chest. Trying to avoid confrontation , Brian continued to let Sinn know it wasn’t personal. When out of the blue Sinn pushed Brian and in a blink of an eye the MWR editor shocked Sinn and the fans by pushing Sinn with so much force that he landed on his butt.

The Fuzzy Hat club and the fans went nuts. Thankfully Bailey Mannix stepped in at that time to save Brian and the MECW action was on.

A great night of wrestling with some of the top stars in the area including Bailey Mannix, Barry Ryte, Eric Allen along with many great young talent all around the Midwest will return this weekend to Wood River Illinois at the Knights of Columbus.

Each fan with a paid admission will receive a FREE Monster Energy drink to jump start the night. (While Supplies last)

Posted by flairwhoooooo on July 21, 2011

MARION, Ill. — All American Pro Wrestling and Black Diamond Harley-Davidson have announced a new partnership that will make the Black Diamond Warehouse the permanent home for all future “AAPW Collision” television tapings.

Beginning with the taping scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 28, all televised AAPW events will be filmed at the Marion location. Doors will open at 1 p.m., and bell time is scheduled for 2 p.m. for all subsequent tapings.

“Black Diamond Harley-Davidson has been such a generous supporter of AAPW benefits for several years now,” said AAPW owner and promoter Sean Chambers. “They were recently recognized as one of the top Harley-Davidson dealerships in the nation. For them to help a small Southern Illinois wrestling promotion take this step to the next level really shows how much they are willing to give back to the community. We are so happy that they have decided to partner with us for ‘AAPW Collision.’”

While the use of the Warehouse may be new, the partnership between All American Pro Wrestling and Black Diamond Harley-Davidson is not.

“Black Diamond has been a proud sponsor of AAPW events since 2008,” said Jeremy Pinkston, the company’s marketing director. “The family-friendly atmosphere, along with the charitable arm of the organization, has been a key element for our increased interest and new partnership. We are very excited to offer a regular home for their events and see a huge success in the making.”

The “AAPW Collision” TV tapings will all occur on Sunday afternoons. The dates for the remainder of the 13-episode season are Aug. 28, Sept. 18, Oct. 23, Nov. 13, and Dec. 18.

AAPW has also announced future non-televised live event dates around Southern Illinois.

“On Saturday, Oct. 8, we will host our annual benefit for the American Cancer Society,” Chambers said. “Tentatively, the event will take place at the Herrin Middle School gym. On Saturday, Oct. 29, AAPW heads to Carmi, Ill., at the Carmi-White County High School for a benefit for the Carmi Lions Club.”

“AAPW is also looking to host an event on Saturday Nov. 5, but we are still looking for a venue for this event. Possibilities include West Frankfort, Ill.; Nashville, Ill.; and Mount Vernon, Ill.”

Black Diamond Harley-Davidson is located at 2400 Williamson County Parkway in Marion, Ill. They are not only a new and used dealership but also a parts and service center and official Harley-Davidson apparel provider. For more information, visit blackdiamondhd.com.

AAPW is a locally owned and operated professional wrestling company that will begin its fifth year of operation this September with the launch of “AAPW Collision” on WSIL TV-3. Local talent includes the AAPW Tag Team Champions Curly and Heath Hatton, Jay Spade, Mike Masters, “Playboy” Paul Rose and the AAPW Heavyweight Champion Edmund “Livewire” McGuire.
