3XW 6 Year Anniversary Event Results – 7/29/2011 – 3XW’s 75th Total Event!

Posted by flairwhoooooo on August 6, 2011

Results from an excellent night of action in front of a packed crowd at the Forte Ballroom in Des Moines, Iowa. Next event is the 3rd-Annual King of Des Moines Tournament on Aug. 26.

Quick Results: Jimmy Rockwell, Tyler Cook & Matty Starr b Gage Octane, Devin Carter & Casanova, Malia Hosaka b Melanie Cruise, Tony Sly b Sir Bradley Charles after interference by Zach Thompson, Canadian Tuxedo Match (No DQ, competitors must wear all denim) – Ryan Slade b AJ Smooth, 3XW Tag Team champs Ben Sailer & Nate Bash b Sparrow & Scott Spade, Sir Bradley Charles b Zach Thompson to win 3XW Pure Wrestling title, The MMA (The Mauler & Ricky Kwong w/ Chad Mylan) and Maddog McDowell & Jon West w/Skylar Pierce went to a double DQ, Jeremy Wyatt b Brian Ash to win 3XW Heavyweight title.

Full Results:

Fans were handed a ballot as they came through the door to vote for Zach Thompson’s challenger for the Pure Wrestling title later that evening. Thompson was originally scheduled to battle Mark Sterling, but Sterling unfortunately was hospitalized with a serious knee infection the week of the event.

1. Jimmy Rockwell, Tyler Cook and Matty Starr beat Gage Octane, Devin Carter and Casanova of Genesis. Rockwell pinned Carter after a Rock On (Swanton) Bomb, preceded by Matty nailing Carter with a second rope moonsault and Cook throwing him with an impressive T-Bone suplex.

2. Malia Hosaka beat Melanie Cruise. Hosaka pinned Cruise with a unique leg-based rollup after Cruise missed an incredible flying legdrop off the top rope.

3. Tony Sly beat Sir Bradley Charles thanks to an assist from Zach Thompson. SBC had Sly up for the Long Kiss Goodnight, only for Zach to jump on the apron and distract the ref and SBC. Sly slipped off SBC, hit him with a lowblow and used his unique double underhook neckbreaker for the pin.

4. Canadian Tuxedo match – Ryan Slade beat A.J. Smooth in a wild brawl. No DQ, allies banned from ringside, one fall in the ring, competitors must wear all denim. Despite Slade’s denim bowtie and Smooth’s acid-streaked jeans, this was a very intense battle that went all over the arena. Even a hockey stick was used as a weapon. After the ref was knocked down, Tony Sly attempted to interfer on Genesis teammate Smooth’s behalf, only for Slade to avoid the attack and Ry-plex Sly. Smooth managed to release Northern Light’s Suplex Slade through a table in the corner and Slade still kicked out! Slade finished Smooth off after a Canadian Destroyer.

5. 3XW Tag Team champs American Ground & Air (Ben Sailer & Nate Bash) successfully defended the titles over Scott Spade and Sparrow, pinning Sparrow following a Doomsday Crossbody. Sailer and Bash strangely threatened broadcaster Midnight Guthrie on the mic before the match.

6. Sir Bradley Charles – voted by the fans to be Zach Thompson’s opponent tonight – beat Thompson to win the 3XW Pure Wrestling title. A good back-and-forth match, which saw SBC hit the Long Kiss Goodnight for the pin. This is SBC’s first title win in 3XW.

7. The Mylan Managament Agency (The Mauler & Ricky Kwong w/Chad Mylan) and The American Bulldogs (Maddog McDowell & Jon West w/Skylar Pierce) battled to a double disqualification after brawling all over the ringside area as the match was just starting.Even Mylan and Pierce went at it during this wild one.

8. Jeremy Wyatt beat Brian Ash for the 3XW Heavyweight title in a very intense brawl after Ash submitted to Wyatt’s Crossface. Another match that went all over the arena with vicious strikes by both men throughout the match. At one point, Wyatt chopped Ash so hard that he hit the arena floor and Wyatt himself appeared to have injured his hand. Wyatt won the title for the second time after applying the Crossface, causing Ash to tap out. It’s the first time in 6 years of 3XW history that Ash submitted to lose a match.

Two friends, Sir Bradley Charles and NWA Kansas Champion Tyler Cook at Metro Pro Wrestling are having major problems getting on the same page. To make matters worse, SBC lost a match against Jeremy Wyatt with the stipulation being that he would become a member of Steven J Girthy’s Girthy Management agency.

On multiple occasions Cook has attempted to assist his friend SBC only to see it backfire and hurt the young star.
MPW cameras caught up with Tyler Cook and SBC and here is what went down.

14) Old School Thunder (Ax Allwardt & “Thunderbolt” Brandon Walker)

Posted by flairwhoooooo on August 5, 2011

Photobucket

The ring general Ax Allwardt has been a three time AAPW Tag team champion ,twice with the powerful Brandon Walker and once with Homicidal Steven Davis . A no nonsense full frontal attack of the OST sent a message early on that there was going to bruises and broken bones in the near future for anyone that got in the way.

MWR often wished to have seen these two venture outside to other promotions to see how teams such as the Northstar Express or the Bayou Outlaws would fare against the  Old School Thunder.

The MWR rundown August 2011 .

Hello wrestling fans, I would like to thank you for your continued support of Missouri Wrestling Revival during this excessive heat. In the past it has been  a time for wrestling in the Independents to slow down. That has not been the case at all in 2011 with promotions working hard to bring you the best wrestling action in the country.

Let’s take a time and look at some of the highlights recently throughout the Midwest.

1)      3XWrestling celebrates their 6th year anniversary at ALL –Play in Des Moines, Iowa  in July. 3XWrestling has won 2 MWR Promotions of the years in the past and has no signs of slowing down.

2)      AAPW announces TV deal with ABC affiliate WSIL-TV 3. Their show will be called  “AAPW Collision” with host Chris Hagstrom and Kevin Hunsperger. AAPW Collision   is scheduled to air on  Saturdays this fall.  AAPW and Black Diamond Harley-Davidson have also announced a new partnership that will make the Black Diamond Warehouse the permanent home for all future “AAPW Collision” television tapings. This week they announced that ROH World Champion Davey Richards will be a part of their next show on Sunday August 28th.

3)      IHW is working to have a Brandon Aarons benefit show on October first for former IHW Champion Brandon Aarons. Aarrons  who has suffered a Spinal Injury since January has undergone a battery of tests in recent months and will have to undergo more, including a surgery in a couple weeks. Mr. Aarons has accumulated roughly 7000 dollars in medical bills and will incur more before his road to recovery is complete.

4)      IWA Unlimited will be presenting their anniversary show on Wednesday August 17th in Olney Illinois. As always this is a fun show to be a part of and it’s free. If you have not made your way to check them out, there is no time better than the present.

5)      IWA Productions is gearing for a special show in Olney Illinois on September 17th with special guest Kevin Thorn.  A portion of the proceeds is to go to the Bud Chaplin memorial scholarship.

6)      MECW gains the energy drink Monster as a sponsor for their matches in Wood River Illinois. The last show in July in Wood River, Illinois saw a great turn out with some new stars in the area heating up the ring.

7)      Metro Pro Wrestling celebrates their one year anniversary.  MPW lead my Chris Gough has been working hard to bring pro wrestling out of the dead in Kansas City. It has not been easy but the roster is stacked with some of the top talent in the Midwest while the fans can enjoy great promos and matches at Metro Pro Sports.  MPW recently had a truly awesome  spread in July 11ths Kansas City Star called Off the Mat.

8)      MMWA-SICW hosted their annual Christmas in July where the fans were able to win free gifts such as wrestling tickets, Cardinal tickets, and wrestling memorabilia throughout the night. In East Carondelet MMWA-SICW and MWR teamed up to honor Larry Matysik with his own MWR Trading card.

9)      New Midwest Wrestling is red hot this summer with some exciting stars such as NMW Champion Ryan Phoenix heading into the annual NMW November Reign card. You can see the 2010 MWR Tag team of the yea Attitude Inc.  there and they are still defending their titles that they held since last year. Can any team knock them off the mountain?

10)   NWA Dynamo will bring to Glen Carbon on August 12, four big NWA Title matches including the NWA Central States Champion Jeremy Wyatt defending against Shorty Biggs.

11)   NWA Supreme has teamed up with Pro Wrestling Prestige on August 14th for a FREE show in Matoon Illinois. The show will feature several of the very best in the world against some of the best in the Midwest. ROH World Champion Davey Richards will be in action as well as the former world Champion Eddie Edwards, Jimmy Jacobs and more.

12)   Pro Wrestling Epic is scheduled to return to the Lincoln Balloon Festival August 27th in Lincoln Illinois. The show will be FREE with admission to the festival. Last year fans got to witness the current WWE developmental wrestler Donovan Ruddick take on the Mississippi Madman.

13)   World League Wrestling will once again be hosting the annual WLW/Pro Wrestling Noah camp in October. In attendance will be staff from WLW, Japan’s Pro Wrestling Noah along with Kevin Von Erich from the legendary Von Erich family. If you are a serious wrestler then you should do all you can to take this camp.  Wrestlers in the past who have taken part in the camp are Mark Sterling, Mike Sydal and Keith Walker just to name a few.  A chance right in your backyard to work with some of the most influential men in the sport today. At the end of the camp WLW will also be presenting a show that is a must attend event of the year.

We recently posted that referee  Dave Hebner was in the hospital for surgery for a heart condition. It is great to tell you that we have word that he is home and recuperating as we speak.

We have been working towards theTop 30 tag teams during the past four years in the Midwest at MWR. Let’s review the countdown so far.

30) Heroes for Hire (Jimmy Rockwell and Zach Thompson)

29) Ethan Wright and The Cancun Kid

28) Knights Of Fire” (Jaysin Strife & “Golden Boy” Vic Victory)

The MWR Yearbook is currently in the works with the exceptional assistance and expertise of Matt Murphy.  If you have been in contact to do an article for your promotion from the months of January 2011 to today, I urge you to send them in this week to gauarentee that it can be added.

Promoters feel free to contact me Brian Kelley at flairwhoooooo@yahoo.com for any questions or thoughts about this project. The more you assist me in this the better the coverage for your promotion throughout this book.  If by chance you do not care or just can’t get it done then by no means is there any hard feelings but at the end of the day remember that you get what you put it into it.

15) The High Flyers (Mike Sydal and Zach Thompson)

Posted by flairwhoooooo on August 4, 2011

When two of the most popular young wrestling came together to form the High Flyers, fans where all smiles but those same cheers gave their opponents extra motivation to bring the pain. How much loved where the High Flyers? Fans were seen crying during moments when “Delicious” Devin Carter, Casanova along with Todd Countryman of The Gentleman’s Club continually used underhanded tactics during one of their matches.

With victories over Sexy & Smooth and a huge win against TNA Wrestling star “The Middle Eastern Nightmare” Sheik Abdul Bashir and his brother Arya Daivari when they nailed a double standing moonsaults by excellent back-and-forth tag team match which saw the fans thrilled after the High Flyers picked up the huge win over a national star like Bashir, a former X-Division titleholder.

When their arch rival the Gentlemans Clubs manager 3XW Commissioner, Todd Countryman forced them to wrestle in a Loser Leaves 3XW match in May 2010, which Thompson won. In September 2010, Sydal shockingly ran into the building to save Thompson from a beat down after losing to Brian Ash. Countryman declared that if Thompson could beat Ash in October, then Sydal would be re-instated to 3XW, but Sydal was also banned from the building for that show. Thompson pull off the big upset and beat Ash, re-instating Sydal.

Sydal injured his knee coming off the top rope in their big return match as a team in November against American Ground & Air (Sailer & Bash). Since Sydal returned, they never really got in-sync again as team, possibly giving Thompson motivation to join Genesis in March 2011, where Thompson sneak attacked Mark Sterling to cause him to lose a Lumberjack match to Brian Ash.

The Belt Collector Jeremy Wyatt becomes a 2-Time 3XWrestling Champion. SBC wins first title.

Posted by flairwhoooooo on August 3, 2011

Photobucket

Last week at MWR we had a poll to see who the fans thought would come out victorious in the 3XWrestling title match between Champion Brian Ash and “The Rebel” Jeremy Wyatt this past Friday night at ALL PLAY in Des Moines Iowa. An amazing 89% percent of you felt that Wyatt would take away from the belt from one of the truly dominate big men in the sport today, Brian Ash.

Congratulations MWR fans you were correct. By no means did we believe that it was going to be a 90% chance of winning, but we knew that no one comes up bigger in title matches that Jeremy Wyatt.

Jeremy Wyatt is now the current 3XWrestling, HVW and NWA Central States Champion.

Photobucket

The night also saw an historic moment when the fans voted at the show on who would take on 3XWrestling Pure Wrestling Champion Zach Thompson for the title. The fans choice was none other than the 2010 MWR Future Star recipient Sir Bradley Charles.
SBC would be able to survive the onslaught of the exciting Thompson to become the new 3XWrestling Pure Wrestling Champion.

16) Chris Havius and Donnie Peppercricket

Posted by flairwhoooooo on August 3, 2011

When the chips are down and bleak you find out who the real men are.

That’s what happens when the promotion Pro Wrestling Phoenix found themselves under siege from the Murder Milita. With no hope in sight and Miltia’s Jerem y Wyatt, Mark Sterling, Joey Daniels, Jayden Draigo and Brett Young in charge, an unlikely team would save the PWP from true disaster.  Chris Havius and Donnie  Peppercricket would not only dismantle the Murder Militia and   not once but twice but become a two time PWP Tag team champions before dissension arose tearing apart their team.
