For the past twelve years pro wrestlers in Iowa have had the unfortunate task of trying to go through the man who some call the “Big Hurt” and other call “Street Justice”. This past Friday Harley Race’s World League Wrestling was thrilled to be in Cameron, Missouri to support Camp Quality in Bethany, Missouri. Harley Race was joined with the fellow WWE Hall of Famer Ricky Steamboat to support this great cause.
At the end of the night the current WLW Tag Team Champions Kris “The Wild Thing” Wallace and “OTT” Britton Tucker took the time to pose with the hard working men and women that help with Camp Quality and some of the kids.
Let’s take a look at the purpose of Camp Quality, but before we do remember that WLW is a wonderful opportunity to raise money for your fundraisers. About Tom Prichard
A smart, tactical competitor who wasn’t afraid to mix it up, Tom Prichard has long been admired for both his abilities in the ring and his skills as a trainer to the Superstars of tomorrow.
Kicking off his career in Los Angeles in 1979, Prichard got his first taste of success while competing in various Southern promotions in the late 1980s. A major star and champion in places like the Continental Wrestling Federation and United States Wrestling Association, the Texan is best remembered for his stint as a member of The Heavenly Bodies in Smoky Mountain Wrestling alongside tag team specialist Stan Lane.
A cunning duo managed by the obnoxious Jim Cornette, Prichard & Lane captured the SMW Tag Team Championships five times in a little more than a year’s time. When Lane left the group in 1993, he was replaced by “Gigolo” Jimmy Del Ray and the team’s success continued. Alongside Del Ray, Prichard won three more SMW Tag Team Titles and even competed for the WWE Tag Team Champions against The Steiner Brothers at SummerSlam in 1993.
When Smoky Mountain Wrestling closed in 1995, Prichard joined WWE as a member of The Bodydonnas. Identifying himself as fitness fanatic Skip’s cousin Zip, the competitor experienced more tag team success when the duo won the vacant WWE Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania XII.
Following the dissolution of The Bodydonnas, Prichard spent some time in the rough world of Extreme Championship Wrestling before pursuing a career as a trainer. Working in WWE’s developmental system, the experienced grappler has played a key role in the grooming of future legends like The Rock, Edge and countless others.

Ron and Joy welcome Mayor of East Carondolet (and wrestling impresario) Herbert Simmons to the ONstl studios.
SICW promoter Herb Simmons was awarded the 2012 MWR Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions that he has given to pro wrestling in St. Louis throughout his illustrious years of promoting. Simmons continues to be an influential figure in the world of pro wrestling with no signs of stopping. Coming up in May, Simmons is set to bring several of the all-time greats to the St Louis for a night that any true wrestling fan will not want to miss.
Simmons, who is also the Mayor of East Carondelet, has always brought a positive light in the world of pro wrestling. This week Simmons was at the ONstl Studios, to discuss his huge show coming up on May 10th and 11th.
The night will feature St Louis Wrestling greats, WWE Hall of Fame wrestlers and the many of the best young talent in the country. This is a two night event…..
On May 10 and May 11, the Argosy Casino in Alton, Illinois (a suburb north of St. Louis along the Mississippi River) is presenting the Legends of St. Louis Wrestling. On hand will be Harley Race, Baron Von Raschke, Cowboy Bob Orton, Gerry Brisco, Greg Valentine and former Wrestling at the Chase commentator Larry Matysik. On May 10, it will be a meet-and-greet followed by a question and answer period with all of those on hand. Frank Cusumano of KSDK-tv, Channel 5, will be the host.
The next night – May 11 – the legends will be on hand for a Southern Illinois Championship Wrestling card promoted by Herb Simmons. Among the independent stars on hand will be Ron Powers, Ricky Cruz, Bull Schmitt and Flash Flanagan. The intention of the casino is that their relation with Simmons and Matysik will be successful and they will present a show every three or four months perhaps with an appearance of a St. Louis legend.

The Zero One Midwest Champion Oliver Cain came into the double shot Saturday in Charleston and Mattoon, Illinois in the biggest day of his title reign. During the second annual Swamp Stomp in Charleston, Illinois he defended his title in cage against his former Hybrid teammate, Jason Lyte in a steel cage.
The Zero One fans witnessed Cain at is finest by picking up the hard fought win, then celebrate with the college frat kids by drinking beers at the top of the cage.
Earlier on the card, the exciting young star, Jonathan Gresham took to the air to battle “The Muay Thai Warrior” DaCobra in a phenomenal contest. At the end of the match Gresham had his had raised by winning via submission.He then set his sights on taking the Zero One title from Cain.
Earlier during the day Cain had survived the cage but against the world renowned talent of Jonathan Gresham his Zero One Championship title was hung from the rafters, with the man to scale the ladder then bring the belt to the ground to be Champion to lead Zero One Wrestling.
Cain fought with all his might but, Gresham delivered some huge blows with the help of the ladder on his opponent. Still, Cain look to retain the title as the two men battled at the top of the ladder. Cain took the title off the rope that was holding it in place first, but before he could come to the ground the opportunist Gresham took the belt away from Cain on the way to the mat to be named the brand new Zero One Midwest X Championship.
MWR has since learned that on May 4th at Korakuen Hall he will go one on one with Takuya Sugawara for the Jr. crowns!
