Dartallion Allen JR MWR Top Draw: 2016 MWR Tag Team of the Year Alpha Class Danny Adams & Paco

Posted by flairwhoooooo on May 7, 2017

Danny Adams and Paco are two of the youngest and hottest wrestlers in the Midwest today, and in 2016 they made a statement as a tag team that they were one of the best in the area. Fans may have seen Adams and Paco more recently in singles action but when the duo came together last year they picked up one huge victory after another.

We have been honored at MWR to have covered their careers from the start, and we believe that though they reached the mountain top so quickly with this award that the very best is yet to come for these two talented and highly driven wrestlers that are working to be the future in pro wrestling for years to come.

We invite you to come out this weekend to Glory Pro Wrestling as we honor Paco and Danny Adams sponsored by our friends at On The Ropes Network this Sunday in Alton, Illinois with a special start time of 3:00.

Missouri Rankings Update: NWL’s Red Cloud, Meeks, Douglass, & Maverick Crash into Top 10

Posted by Ben Simon on May 6, 2017

MO Rankings

The new Official Missouri Rankings list, good through June, has been calculated and published.  Head over to the MO Rankings page for the latest publication.  To qualify for the Top 10, a wrestler must have the highest ratings with consistent activity (RD ≤ 200).  Rankings are published every two months.

For details on how the rankings work, read the Introduction

MOVEMENTS & EXPLANATIONS

CAce Hawkins defended his title three times these past two months.  He is next set for a ladder match against old friend/foe Brandon Espinosa at the South Broadway Athletic Club on May 13.  To be champion, it’s quite simple: one must beat the champ decisively in a singles bout.

#1Dak Draper is unstoppable so far, going 5-0 again this period.  He won the first NWL Kansas City title after powerbombing Blaine Meeks twice in the tournament final April 1.  “The Mile High Magnum” rises to our top spot.

#2Red Cloud is one of the top stars in Kansas City.  A longtime fixture in Kansas and Iowa, “The Lakota Warrior” debuts on the list very high.  He has shown Missouri why, by only being stopped once.

#3Ricky Cruz and #8Outtkast drop one spot and five spots respectively.  They’ve been overtaken by active competitors, such as…

#4Blaine Meeks, #5Cornell Douglass, and #6Maverick have all tasted defeats, but only at the hands of the very best.  “Captain KC,” “The Bull City Boss,” and “The Raging Bull” all made it to (at least) the semifinals of the NWL championship tournaments.  These three NWL stars make their debuts as the best the State has to offer.

#7Jon Webb and #9Mitch Johnson descend three ranks and one rank respectively.  They each earned one victory this period (Johnson won the NWA Central States crown over Deven Spade), but with the influx of new wrestlers in the area, the scene has grown highly competitive.

#10Jacob Brawn is a… surprise.  Formerly known as Jacob Mercury, Brawn has seldom wrestled here, and just barely makes the minimum activity requirement to round out the Top 10.  Notable for Brawn was a draw against Mitch Johnson and a disqualification win over a returning Evan Morris.

The Iceman, Jeremy Wyatt, Brandon Espinosa, Brandon Barbwire, and Captain Shabam depart from the list.  All of them win regularly, with no recent glaring singles losses, but they just got edged by the new entries.
