Introducing the “Super Six” MMWA Championship Series, Begins Jan. 14

The South Broadway Athletic Club and MMWA Wrestling embark on a unique half-year long journey to crown a new MMWA Champion on Saturday, January 14 at MMWA Launch.
The Super Six MMWA Championship Series is a dual-stage tournament. It locks the promotion’s six best wrestlers into round robin combat through May. The contestants are:
- Brandon Espinosa – (MWR Missouri Champion) qualified by headlining 12/3 card
- Barackus – def. Gary Jackson on 12/3 to qualify
- Da’Marius Jones – qualified by headlining 12/3 card
- Ace Hawkins – def. The Big Texan on 12/3 to qualify
- J’Mal Swagg – def. Damion Cortess on 12/3 to qualify
- Moondog Rover – def. B.T. Daramola on 12/3 to qualify
The first stage: the complete schedule of the round robin goes through May 2017.
In the round robin stage, the point system is:
- 3 Points: Win by pinfall, submission, or stoppage
- 2 Points: Win by countout or disqualification
- 1 Point: Draw or No Contest decision
- A loss nets no points.
Based on the standings of the round robin stage, the six wrestlers will be seeded into a final elimination bracket, to be contested in June 2017. The winner of the bracket will be the new MMWA Champion.
The second stage: a knockout bracket to crown an MMWA champion in June 2017.
The lineup for January 14 is as follows.

NWL KC Rocks the Scottish Rite Temple

Missouri Wrestling Revival was proud to be a part of wrestling history in the Midwest as the wrestling promotion The National Wrasslin’ League (NWL) hope to revolutionize the way the sport will be seen for years to come. From the moment the fans entered into the beautiful Kansas City Scottish Rite they were able to have a cold adult beverage while enjoying a WWE style ring and jumbo tron that filled the screen with video packages of the future heroes and villains that will enter the ring each and every other Saturday night.
The Temple was filled up and ended with a huge sonic boom of happiness as fans cheered as NWL KC’S Blain Meeks and the Royals picked up the first win in the war on NWL STL by defeating Todd Letterman, Dez Wellston, and Christian Adonis.
NWL STL will host their first ever show at the Casa Loma Ballroom this Thursday and I hope that you will join us there but till then let’s take a quick look at a few of the photos of NWL KC’s debut event.

WLW February 4th in Troy, Missouri -New Champion Crowned, Jon Webb Defends Jr. Championship

February 4th, 2017 WLW will host its first event of the 2017!
Late last week, WLW had announced the vacancy of the WLW Heavyweight Championship due to it not being defended in an un-acceptable time frame. Now, on February 4th, WLW will be hosting a one-night tournament that will feature some of the best wrestlers out there today, and one of them will become champion of World League Wrestling!
In addition to the WLW Heavyweight Championship tournament, there will also be “The Hybrid Ace” Jon Webb defending his WLW Jr. Heavyweight Championship and a #1 contenders match for the WLW Ladies Championship!
