The Champ Danny Boy Hawkins speaks out on Challenger Ron Powers

I have never been one to talk loud or do crazy interviews. I let my actions and abilities speak for themselves. You all have heard Ron’s crap. Now I’m going to set the record straight. In the beginning, Ron opened doors that I couldn’t do by myself. But once I was there, it was me and my ability that kept me there, not Ron Powers. I have wrestled all over this country and won numerous titles just like him. The fact that I am the Classic Wrestling Champion just eats Ron alive. Powers’ biggest downfall is that he is in love with himself. He is the best — just ask him.

What he seems to forget is that I am the one who got in the good graces of the local promoters in this area. Now he has shown his true colors once again. There’s the old saying, “Fool me once, shame on you, Fool me twice, shame on me.” I just let my emotions get the best of me. You should be careful what you wish for, Ron. Because I am going to beat you like you’ve never been beaten before. I always say you don’t have to be the biggest, you don’t have to be the baddest, you just have to be the best.

See you on March 26th.

Danny Boy Hawkins, Classic Wrestling Champion

3XWrestling exploded one last time on Locust By Mark Campos

Posted by flairwhoooooo on March 12, 2011

The “Last 1 on Locust” for 3XW went out with a bang and there were many exciting moments and twists that nobody saw coming

The scene at the Social Club was hot from the get go. Fans had lined up prior to the event talking about what would happen and where the next show was going to be. As the crowd poured into the arena it swelled to capacity and the loyal fans were ready for some action

The night began with a 3XW Tag Team match up! The current champs, “The Horndogs”, came out to rousing ovation from a very vocal crowd. Their opponents, Mylan Management Agency, drew the ire of the fans and were not too happy about it. As expected MMA, made up of “The Laotian Sensation” Ricky Kwong, The Mauler and manger Chad Mylan, attempted to cheat at every opportunity they had. But Maddog McDowell and Krotch of “The Horndogs” had Sklyar Pierce in their corner to watch their devious challengers. After a back and forth clash and The Mauler, whom continually tried to interfere on behalf of his partner, was knocked to the cold concrete floor. With Mylan trying to help his fallen friend Kwong attempted a superkick on Maddog. Kwong missed and Maddog rolled him up for a school boy pin! “The Horndogs” retained the belts as Mylan and Pierce were on the verge of a full blown fight

Next up was the grudge match we had all been waiting for. “Smoother” Ryan Slade finally went up against his former tag team partner “Sexier” A.J. Smooth who is now a part of “Genesis”. This rivalry has been building up for months and these two finally ripped into each other. They battled it out in grueling fight matching each other move for move. Slade slowly gained the advantage and was able to hit Smooth with his devastating Canadian Destroyer! The match looked to be over but “Torturous” Tony Sly came from the back to distract the ref for his “Genesis” teammate. The ref was yelling at Sly when from the front of the arena came another “Genesis” cohort, Ben Sailor. Sailor jumped in the ring and nailed Slade with brass knuckles! Sailor dragged a groggy Smooth over the unconscious Slade to get the win. Another tainted victory for Team “Genesis”.

After that debacle we were treated to a six man tag team match. Team “Genesis” consisted of Casanova and “American Ground & Air” led by Steve Biley going against Shane Hollister and “The High Flyers”. This was a fast paced match from the beginning and did not let up the entire time! Team “Genesis” kept Mike Sydal of “The High Flyers” grounded as they took their time pummeling him. Even that sack of sludge Steve Biley got a few choice chops in but much to the delight of the crowd he was sent crying back to the locker-room. Sydal fought back and mustard up enough energy to jump from the top turnbuckle only to grab a bar attached to the ceiling! He swung over his opponents and was able to tag in Hollister who went on a rampage. Hollister looked to be in charge but Ben Sailor and Nate Bash of “American G&A” got him in the Doomsday Device and got the pin. This was a great match even though the despicable Team “Genesis” got another win.

The fourth match of the night was for the 3XW Pure Wrestling championship. “Delicious” Devin Carter of “Genesis” would try to take the belt from newly crowned champ “The Rockstar” Jimmy Rockwell. As soon as the bell rang Rockwell was on fire hitting every move he made with perfection. The crowd was really hot for this match and behind “The Rockstar” the whole time. Carter tried to keep up with his much younger and fitter adversary but failed miserably. Rockwell was able to get the win after hitting Carter with his Rock-on Bomb Swanton thus retaining the gold.

An unannounced match was added to the card featuring “Torturous” Tony Sly of “Genesis” versus “The Right Price” Aaron Masterson. This match was short and sweet even as Masterson tried with all his might to defeat the “Torturous” one. But Sly was just too big for Masterson and finished him off easily with a vicious neck breaker.

The next match for “Last 1 on Locust” was between Gage Octane and Sir Bradley Charles. Octane, a founding member of “Genesis”, came out to the ring with the maniacal “Commissioner” Todd Countryman. Octane, a former 3XW Heavyweight champion, took the mic and not one to be at a loss for words ran down that night’s opponent. He claimed he would end SBC’s short career and that he had hangnails that were around longer then him. Sir Bradley Charles had enough and came out to a thunderous applause! This awesome match up was a back and forth battle between to of the best in 3XWrestling. SBC and Octane threw down with everything they had until it appeared that SBC was in control. And with that Countryman ascended to the top of the turnbuckle and waited for his chance to hit SBC with his loaded briefcase. Before he could jump SBC pushed Octane into the turnbuckle causing Countryman to fall straight on the turnbuckle much to the crowd’s enjoyment! Octane was looking at the bewildered “Commissioner” and turned around right into a Diamond Cutter from SBC. Sir Bradley Charles got the pin on Octane! Finally a member of “Genesis” goes down in defeat. The crowd went wild and was behind SBC all the way.
Before the main event there was a triple threat elimination match! The match featured “The Rebel” Jeremy Wyatt vs. Knight Wagner vs. “The American Fury” Jon West. With Wyatt being a former 3XW Heavyweight champion the outcome to this match was merely elementary as school was in session. It turned into slobberknocker real quick as Wagner and West attacked their veteran foe. And it wasn’t long for this fight to go outside the ring. As Wyatt was savagely assaulting J-Dub on the outside Wagner took to the turnbuckle and flipped head over heels onto his opponents! The 3XW fans jumped to their feet as wrestlers were sprawled across the concrete floor. Wyatt gets up and out of anger grabs Wagner and demands that the fans move out of his way. The crowd scatters and Wyatt throws Wager into the wall and steel chairs. Nacho cheese and chips fly everywhere as the astonished audience looked on in disbelief. Wyatt is in the ring and West attempts to get in but is kicked repeatedly onto the floor and nacho cheese. Wagner and Wyatt are going at it and Wyatt is about to hit his finisher on Wagner when West finally gets in the ring. With all the energy left in him J-Dub double powerbombs both Wyatt and Wagner! J-Dub is down too and Wyatt gets back up and is able to hit Wagner with the Lightning Spiral to get the pin. As West was As West was getting up he also got nailed with the Lightning Spiral from Wyatt and got the pin to win the match. Members of “Genesis” descended onto the ring and confronted Wyatt about his decision to join the group. Wyatt says “OK” and slaps hands condescendingly and leaves the ring by himself. Both fans and “Genesis” looked confused as to what just transpired.

The members of “Genesis” stayed at ringside as it was time for the main event. The “Ironman” Mark Sterling w once again tried to take the 3XW Heavyweight belt from head “Genesis” member Brian Ash. But this time in a Lumberjack match! Members of “Genesis” and the 3XW locker-room surrounded the squared circle in anticipation for this awesome bout. Things got ugly real quick as both men attacked without no regard for their opponents well being. The wrestlers took turns getting tossed to the concrete floor and received brutal beatings by various lumberjacks. This in turn led to the lumberjacks feuding with each other all the way to the backstage area. “Commissioner” Todd Countryman of “Genesis” remained at ringside along with “The Unbreakable” Zach Thompson. Thompson, whom recently battled his former mentor Brian Ash, seemed to be keeping an eye on the conniving Countryman to make sure he didn’t interfere in the match. With just Sterling and Ash in the ring it was time to see what they had left in their engines. Sterling had a lot as he turned Ash over for his infamous Markshooter but the ref had been knocked out!

Ash was on the verge of tapping when Countryman and Thompson got in the ring. Thompson took the briefcase that Countryman was going to use and looked at Ash and then drilled the unsuspecting Sterling in the head. Thompson has turned “Genesis”! Ash picked up the downed Sterling and hit him with the Devastator and once again retained the title for “Genesis”.

Ash celebrated with Countryman and Thompson in the ring as they continued to beat down an already bruised and battered Sterling. Mike Sydal flew down the ramp with a chair in hand to make the save for Sterling! This also signaled the end of the “High Flyers” as Sydal and his new former partner Thompson will now be on opposite sides of the ring. An infuriated Sklyar Pierce waddled down to the ring screaming at the top of his lungs that Thompson is a dead man! He called for the heads of “Genesis” as the 3XWrestling locker room has had enough of their underhanded tactics. Pierce pleaded for unity within 3XW and wrestlers and fans surrounded the ring to show that together “Genesis” will crumble!

Don’t miss out on what will happen next as 3XW’s “Spring Showdown 2” which will now be held at All Play. All Play (formerly In Play) will now be the home for 3XW (once again) at 615 3rd St. Des Moines, IA. The next show is on April 22nd so come out and see the next incredible show from 3XWrestling.
