SLA Double Shot weekend HUGE updates

Posted by flairwhoooooo on January 13, 2014

 photo SLA2_zps8b75849f.jpg

UPDATE FROM SLA

: As you can see we now have online tickets you can buy. People are asking if they will still be able to do Facebook reserve and you can still do so FOR THE DOUBLE SHOT WEEKEND ONLY!! After that the only way to get the pre sale price will be to buy the tickets in advance. This is happening for two major reasons:

1. A lot of people will reserve 5 front row and then day of show only 3 show up we then have to re-sell those seats. This process will work much better when it comes to holding seats that have been pre-sold.

2.
Guys this has to happen for our company to grow. We plan to give you stacked cards as we have been doing for going on four years and we plan to expand into more double shot weekends and the only way to do so it to take steps like this. We take pride in having the best wrestling you can find but none of that is possible without you guys… Thank You -Pierre

She is one of a kind, a true pioneer that has the skills to take the sport by storm in 2014 with her return from touring California and the states throughout the east and west coast back to the Midwest where she made an impact taking on Mickie Knuckles at POPS Nighclub in Sauget, Illinois a couple of years ago.

Though there has been a few other transgender woman that has followed in her footsteps to enter the square circle, there is no way they can hold a candle to the “original” sexy Mariah Moreno. Known as the “Hardcore Queen of the West Coast” fans are sure to be thrilled to see how the best women in the Midwest such as the current 2-time MWR Wrestler of the Year Heather Patera, the WLW Ladies Champion Stacey O’Brien and the wild and crazy tough wrestler of St Louis Anarchy’s Angelus Layne would go about matching up with the Blood thirsty Vixen?

Breath taking in so many ways, Mariah can do it all. – Photo courtesy of Mariah Moreno “The Bloodthirsty Vixen” Facebook page

Who will be the first on the hit list of Mariah Moreno in her return?

Will it be Lucy Mendez?

Rising star Jordynne Grace ?

The powerhouse Melanie Cruise from Proving Ground Pro?

Young Devyn Nichole?

Could it be a fellow powerhouse in the Great Cheyenne?

Or how about the lovely Heidi Lovelace?

MWR will keep an eye out on this huge developments.

Promoters wanting to book Mariah Moreno, be sure to hit her up at these links.

NEW EPISODE: The Q – Ep. 152 – PRO WRESTLING with guest Dan Walsh

Posted by flairwhoooooo on January 12, 2014

 photo Q_zpsef2f1caa.jpg

Download/Listen here: http://www.markbland.net/1/post/2014/01/episode-152-pro-wrestling.html

We are talking professional wrestling on the show today. And without missing a beat, former Dynamo Pro Wrestling champion and former MTV star Dan Walsh. Dan has been trying to get on the show for a bit and it just so happened that once scheduling worked out, it happened to be on a night Pro Wrestling talk.

First up is Vaughn Johnson of philly.com . He covers the current state of affairs in Professional wrestling and decided to hook up with Mark, Dan and Producer Bobby to talk about Philly sports, WWE and what were some of Vaughn’s thoughts currently and over the past year. Including Vaughn explaining his favorite moment and wrestling match from 2013.

Then the guys bring in one of the most versed people in the history of professional wrestling. David Shoemaker is the author of “Squared Circle: Life, Death and Pro Wrestling” to discuss the history of the sport and relay some of his more favorite stories he researched for his book. This includes an amazing story that David tells regarding Hulk Hogan and Harley Race. Its a story that blows the mind of the guys and leads to a discussion on the legitimate toughness of people in the business.

After all that fun, its time to get back to business and Mark discusses the entire “BridgeGate” situation and whether it will truly affect Chris Christie’s attempt to become president of the US since he is the GOP front runner currently. Then right into this weeks GAME ON/GAME OFF. Plus a HUGE Overtime (starts on the download as soon as the outro song finishes playing) where Dr. Dan gets his first taste of Letters from the Listeners and Christopher Walken makes a special appearance.

 photo IMG_4533_zps6e9c9896.jpg

One of the most hated men in pro wrestling today has returned to the MWR Trading card set as Mephisto now claims number 17 in the second MWR Trading card set. Mephisto has been causing havoc and turmoil with partner in crime Brandon Espinosa at Pro Wrestling Epic and at the historic South Broadway Athletic Club in 2013 and with a new year here he looks to make an even bigger impact than before.

Ruthless, unapologetic and just plain nasty Mephisto will do whatever it takes to capture a win, most recently targeting “The Great One “Gary Jackson in St Louis while teaming with powerhouse Dave Osborne to knock the Money Makin Jam Boyz off the top of the tag team mountain at Pro Wrestling Epic.

Known for hardcore wrestling. Mephisto alliance with Espinosa has improved his in ring ability so much that he has become a dual threat in the ring.

The boiling point is coming on Saturday, January 18th at SICW- Flash Flanagan vs. Ron Powers with special referee Ricky Cruz

Posted by flairwhoooooo on January 9, 2014

 photo eastcarondeletil_zps2a172a3a.jpg

Will Ricky Cruz as the special referee help settle the boiling feud between Flash Flanagan and Ron Powers at the SICW card in East Carondelet Saturday, January 18th?

One thing for sure – Cruz has his hands full. Obviously the motivation for promoter Herb Simmons in asking Cruz to be the referee was that Ricky is likely neutral in the issue. Not only has Cruz butted heads with both Powers and Flash, but Cruz is also one of the top contenders for the Classic Wrestling Championship belonging to Ironman Ken Kasa.

Plus, Cruz is crabby about the “politics” of Simmons in how he lines up matches in SICW. Ricky will be under pressure to keep order, though, as Powers and Flanagan have pounded each other with chairs, tables and kendo sticks in recent donnybrooks, one of which left Powers a bloody mess.

Speaking of Kasa, the Classic king enters tag team action January 18th when he and Mr Unpredictable Dave Vaughn (both clients of manager Travis Cook) oppose the exciting duo of high-flying Heath Hatton and explosive Jake Dirden, the MWR Wrestler of the Year. This battle is guaranteed to be a barn-burner!

Adding to the fun January 18 in East Carondelet is the appearance of Luke Williams of Bushwhacker tag team fame in WWE. A colorful character, Luke is as liable to jump into the ring as he is to lick the forehead of the promoter.

The ladies are back in East Carondelet as Angeles Layne meets Lucy Mendez.

Another tag team affair pits Alexandre Rudolph and Mr. Lucky against Gary Jackson and Jim Hoffarth, formerly the Big Texan. It’s interesting the respect that has developed between Jackson and Hoffarth since it was actually Gary who unmasked The Big Texan. But wrestling without the mask seems to have given Hoffarth a real boost.

Others in action January 18th are Daniel Eads, Frankie “The Thumper” Wyatt, Ax, and Chaz Wesson. For tickets call 618-286-4848.
