Missouri Wrestling Revival was proud to team up with On the Ropes Network to present two of the top young stars in the country (Danny Adams & Paco Gonzales) with their 2016 MWR Tag team of the Year plaques at Glory Pro’s  Long May We Reign event.

Together they are known as Alpha Class and in 2016 defeated a who’s who of tag teams to earn the honor of being named the 2016 including winning the Proving Ground Pro Tag Team titles. It is hard to believe that the two have become so good, so fast but under the wise tutelage of former Michael Elgin the results do not lie.

In and out of the ring Adams and Gonzales carry themselves as professions and that is why they fans are clamoring to see them in action and promoters are lining up to book them.

We were thrilled that Ray Dunmire and Oscar Rendon of On the Ropes Network quickly became a sponsor of their 2016 MWR Tag team of the Year Plaque’s and it was announced that we would present them at the standing room only show of Glory Pro in May.

On the night the two wrestled in singles action with both picking up wins as Paco Gonzalez defeated Jason Cade

and Danny Adams defeated Louis Lyndon.

Now the two will face each other at Glory Pro on July 9th.

Be sure to watch out for these two young superstars at an event near you as the best is yet to come.

Thank you goes out to the promotion Glory Pro for inviting us to honor Adams and Gonzales at their promotion. Glory Pro  Returns on July 9th with a Supercard.

Be sure to support our sponsors of this award On the Ropes Network  as they have  a great interview that you will sure to enjoy with Ring of Honor stars Dalton Castle and Jay Lethal that will be dropping soon.

Till then check out their website here and their podcast on ITUNES.

The OTR Network started as a small podcast in its humble beginnings. Over the year, the podcast grew, garnering attention from all across the world in countries like the UK, Japan, and India.

Ray Dunmire (CEO) invested everything to make sure OTR was a recognizable name in the wrestling business!
Now, the OTR Crew are taking the OTR name, brand, show, you name it, to the West Coast in the hopes of growing it even bigger than it is!

Be a part of the journey and see where we end up!

Help Little Trista Get Better!

photo trista_zpszrmcp4mz.pngFor being only a year old Trista sure has been through a lot. Originally housed in a shelter in Louisiana, from there she was driven all the way to a shelter here in Vermont. You see down south shelters are overcrowded and pups are often euthanized if a home is not found for them fast enough. It’s because of this that volunteers have started to transfer pups up north so that they are spared and given a chance to find a loving home.

Trista was one of those pups. When we adopted her late last year all we knew really was that she’d come from Louisiana and that she’d been treated for heartworm. We were assured that she’d completed treatment and was in good health. Given how happy, playful and loving she is we had no reason to think otherwise!

We bring our pups in every spring for yearly check ups to make sure they’re healthy. Because of her previous run in with heartworm Trista was tested for it and to our shock it came back positive. Trista was given a second more thorough test for heartworm as pups who’ve been treated for it sometimes give false positives. Unfortunately that test too came back positive.

In addition to that unfortunate development a lump on her abdomen that we were assured by the shelter was nothing was in fact a hernia.

Trista has been a beacon of love, joy and entertainment for us in the short time she has been a part of our family. We love her and are committed to seeing that she gets healthy. We need help though.

All told, between the heartworm treatments, the surgery for her hernia, and the follow up visits for both, her Veterinarian bills are expected to total at least $1600, possibly more. This is simply too much for us to handle on our own. So with great reservation we’re asking for your help.

If you’re in a position to help we’d truly appreciate it. Any amount, large or small, helps. We love Trista. She enriches our lives so much that the least we can do is make sure that she is healthy and happy.

Please help if you can and share this please. Thank you so much.

Love,

Adam, Cathy, Scooby & Trista

With his win in the tournament Blake Steel has challenged the PGP Champion Jake Dirden for the title in a match that promises to be one not to miss.

Proving Ground Pro honored Ryan Buckley, the first solider killed in Iraq that was from Hillsboro, Illinois with the first ever Ryan Buckley Memorial Tournament filled with many of the top stars in the country.

Cpl. Ryan J. Buckley, 21, was with Army Spc. Richard Morris  riding in a Humvee in Baghdad, when a blast from an explosive device killed Buckley, the gunner on the vehicle. Prior to the event a 10 bell salute was held to honor the war hero.

In the first round Blake Steel was able to withstand the quick strikes from young star Louis Lyndon In the second round Steel took it to Ethan Page with an impressive victory. Page was not done with Steel though as he assaulted him after the match targeting his left arm leaving Steel’s ability to move on in the main event in doubt. Yet, one of central Illinois’s brightest stars would not be denied as he entered the main event against his toughest test to date, the Ring of Honor Superstar Tommaso Ciampa. Blake Steel showed true heart and determination by not only surviving the war between Ciampa, but pinning him with the small package to lay claim as the first ever Ryan Buckley Memorial Tournament Champion.
