Saturn, Sailer, Bulldogs scheduled to defend championships at TV taping.
DES MOINES, Iowa – The all-stars of Midwest pro wrestling will be in action once again on Friday, June 29 as 3XWrestling (3XW) holds its Downtown Destruction IV event in Des Moines.
Three major championship matches are scheduled, with each bout featuring match-ups that epitomize the best competitors in the Midwest at particular styles of wrestling.
Long-time WWE/WCW/ECW star Perry Saturn will defend the 3XW Pure Wrestling championship against “The Fittest Wrestler in the World” Mark Sterling, long-recognized as one of the best wrestlers in the Midwest. Reports from fans indicate they are greatly looking forward to this bout as it expects to be be a very hard-hitting and intense brawl between two of the all-around best.
Newly-crowned 3XWrestling Heavyweight champion “The Professional” Ben Sailer defends the championship for the first time against “The Bulletproof Tiger” Jaysin Strife in what many expect will be a phenomenal technical wrestling affair with doses of incredible strikes.
Two of the finest teams in the Midwest will go at it as The American Bulldogs (Maddog McDowell & “The American Fury” Jon West with Skylar Pierce) defend the 3XW Tag Team titles against Darin Corbin and “The Anarchist” Arik Cannon.
Downtown Destruction IV will be held at the Baratta’s@Forte Center in Des Moines. The event will be filmed for future airing on 3XW’s weekly television program on Iowa CW Network affiliates. 3XW’s TV show airs Saturday at 6 p.m. on KWKB channel 20 (eastern Iowa) and 1:30 a.m. Monday on KCWI channel 23 (central Iowa).
Doors open for Downtown Destruction IV at 7 p.m. (6:45 p.m. for advance ticket holders) for a 7:30 p.m. start time. The Barratta’s@Forte Center is located at 615 3rd St. in beautiful downtown Des Moines.
