3XWrestling Announces Partnership with All Play

Monthly pro wrestling events scheduled to take place at All Play through 2011

DES MOINES, Iowa – 3XWrestling (3XW) is proud to announce a newly-formed partnership with All Play of Des Moines to hold monthly professional wrestling events in All Play’s Forte Ballroom through the end of 2011.

The first event under this new partnership will be Spring Showdown 2, on Friday, April 22. This event features some of the most talented wrestlers in the United States and the stacked card includes three championship matches and 3XW’s first-ever women’s tag team match.

Fans are encouraged to join their favorite 3XW stars for the event after party at Fanatics Grille in the upper level of All Play. Start time will be immediately following the wrestling event.

Advance tickets for 3XW events are available at http://www.3XWrestling.com, Cup O’ Kryptonite (4521 Fleur Dr. in Des Moines), and Jay’s CD and Hobby (3315 S.E. 14th St.). Advance tickets are $12 adult general admission and $6 for kids 10 and under. Advance ticket holders get into the arena 15 minutes early to pick their seats. Tickets at the door the night of the event are $15 adult general admission but still only $6 for kids (free for kids 3 and under).

– Brian Ash’s first defense of his third reign with the 3XW Heavyweight title is against “The Unbreakable” Zach Thompson, who was actually trained by Ash. Ash and Thompson viciously feuded throughout the second half of 2010, but this is their first encounter with a championship thrown in the mix. Founded in 2005, 3XWrestling, a Des Moines-based organization, has performed in front of thousands of fans across Iowa and been featured on KCWI TV, Des Moines Radio Group stations, Iowa Public Radio and in publications including the Des Moines Register, Juice, Cityview and Pro Wrestling Illustrated. 3XW events are held each month in Des Moines.

3XWrestling and its performers are also heavily involved with charity work. At the Clobberpalooza Classic IV event in September 2010, 3XW helped raise money for Shoes That Fit by donating a portion of ticket sales to the charity organization. 3XW also regularly gives out complimentary tickets for events to area charities.

In February 2009, one-legged wrestling star Zach Gowen competed in 3XW and helped raise over $10,000 to help the family of a young man whose leg was amputated due to his battle with cancer. All proceeds from that event we’re given to the family to offset medical costs, with every wrestler performing on a volunteer basis.

Hello MWR fans Dubray Tallman here back with a brand new Dubi meets the fans and for the first time we brought the Dubi meets the Fans at Modern Championship Wrestling. One of our personal friends the Iceman is currently the MCW No Limits Champion so we were happy to cheer him on as he took on the challenge of “Superstar” Steve Fender.

Boy we were not the only one, it seemed as if every fan in attendance for this evening was there to see the Iceman. Prior to the show we asked him to be our MWR Wrestler of the night and throw our shirt to one lucky fan in Marceline Missouri prior to his match.

The kids were really excited with the masked wrestler from Mexico Angel de la Muerte yet when I went to find him I was told he was already left the building to head home to get some burritos so the Iceman was kind enough to volunteer to take some photos with the star. Luckily the masked star came back to the arena looking for his piñata and when asked to have his photo taken was more than happy to.

First up was Edward Withey who was one of those boys was excited to meet Angel de la Muerte.

Next up was Jeffery Crookshanks who had the opportunity to have his photo taken with the No Limits Champion the Iceman.

In the front row was a group of children cheering all nights for their favorite while booing the ones they disliked. Clayton Wilson, Landen Gardner and Anden McNeil were all smiles during Angel’s match and their face lit up with the masked Mexican came back to the building.

During the night Tony Raze manager the Warden turned on him prior to his match with the Mauler. Before his match I was able to get a rare chance to have my picture taken with the man who has the Midwest wrestling scene on lockdown.

At the end of the night the Iceman was able withstand the offense of Fender though he was walking with a noticeable limp afterwards he came out to get his photo taken with young Tommy Eads and his father Jeff to end MWR’S night at MCW in Mareline Missouri.

I would like to thank MCW and each and everyone of you fans that have been out to check out a show near you.

Rings and Cages Training Center is holding their April tryouts on Saturday April 16th at NOON. Tryouts are free and are a prerequisite to being accepted into the school for training. They are attempting to hold monthly OPEN TRYOUTS but are more than happy to schedule a separate tryout if you are unable to attend the times they have listed.

Classes are growing and they are adding a second ring in the school to accommodate varying skill levels and abilities. As always established wrestlers are more than welcome to come in and use the facility, just call and let them know when you want to come in.
