NWA Missouri Champ Jeremy Wyatt

The most hated man in the Midwest today, Jeremy Wyatt, became the NWA Missouri Champion last Saturday by defeating the monster Nation, the electrifying Jonathan Gresham, and powerful Trent Stone in a four way war for the coveted title.

In other NWA news current , also during the night current NWA Central States Champion Mark Sterling defeated former 2 –time  AWA World Champion Larry Zbyszko with guest ref Dave Hebner.

Regardless if you either of the Kansas City Killers Wyatt or Sterling one can not deny that they  are among the top wrestlers in the World today.

We here at MWR would love to see Wyatt or Sterling take on the current NWA Champion The Sheik in 2011.

It would be great too see the NWA Championship come back to theMidwestand either of these two are more than capable of doing just that.

Dubi meets the WLW fans April 2011

Posted by flairwhoooooo on May 5, 2011

By Dubray Tallman

Hello Wrestling fans , we made our way back to World League Wrestling in what could very  well be the closest show we go to all year in Columbia MO which was only 40 miles from my home.

Believe it or not, any other time Brian has us at the show 3 hours before but with the closest show we made it there just prior to bell time.

When we got there several of our friends had come down from Kansas City to watch some of the very best talent in the Midwest go at it on this evening.  So while Brian caught up with Kenneth, Danny along with Jerry and his wife I was on the way to catch up with fans for this evenings Dubi meets the fans.

No matter where we go the fans are always in awe of Harley Race. The former World Champion always has time for his fans. On this evening Shirley Gray from Ashland Missouri was very happy to be have her picture taken with MR Race.

When several fans heard that I was going to take photos for the site they quickly let me know they wanted their picture taken with “The Undertakers son”. I didn’t know who they were talking about but when they pointed a big man behind the merchandise table I asked Brian about this supposed second generation star.

After some investigating it was confirmed that his name was Lance, he has been training at Harley Race’s  Wrestling Academy and no he was NOT the son of WWE’S Undertaker but he was in fact the cousin of Glen Jacobs who is better known as WWE’S Kane. Though he has not wrestled one match yet he has the WLW fans a buzz, so here we have fans Corey, Larry, Keith, Lincoln ,Maddie, Tucker and Todd  from  Columbia Mo who can lay claim to be a part of the special group that can say they met Kane’s cousin Lance.

Next up was a couple of friends Jerica Murphy and Logan Williams who was impressed with the young Cancun Kid. The Cancun Kid and his partner Ethan Wright have been winning matches and the hearts of the fans in 2011.

Last but not least was Chance Bandy from Fulton Missouri who was interested in either of the girls. On this night we would find out that Lucy Mendez had been injured in training earlier that week. Though we could hear the disappointment in her voice about not going into battle with arch rival Stacey O’Brien she was golden with her fans including young Brandon.

There you have it MWR fans  another Dubi meets the fans. We would like to thank Harley Race, WLW and the fans for their support.

Till next time, be good and we hope to see you at a show real soon.

Love Dubz

Pro Wrestling Noah Champion Takashi Sugiura vs Trevor Murdoch – (NOAH 03/21/11)

Posted by flairwhoooooo on April 30, 2011

Photobucket

Trevor Murdock is one of the most successful wrestlers in the Midwest in the past 10 years, he has been one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions along with Lance Cade, he has worked with TNA, been a multiple time WLW Champion and has spearheaded wrestling’s return in Kansas City with Metro Pro Wrestling.

Murdock had been to Japan in the past but this past month of March may have marked his single biggest tour to date. Murdock challenged the Pro Wrestling Noah Champion Takashi Sugiura at the Fukuoka International Center.

Murdock had shown us in 2010 that he was back by winning the WLW and the MPW TV Championship. There is no doubt that he is twice the wrestler he was during his three time tag team Championship run at WWE.

We are happy to share with you this classic match, enjoy.
