The new Official Missouri Rankings list, good through August, has been calculated and published. Head over to the MO Rankings page for the latest publication. To qualify for the Top 10, a wrestler must have the highest ratings with consistent activity (RD ≤ 175). Rankings are published every two months.
For details on how the rankings work, read the Introduction
MOVEMENTS & EXPLANATIONS
Where is CKarim Brigante? The Missouri Heavyweight Champion wrestled on May 5, then was set to compete in his native Italy for one month. However, he was removed from Cape Championship Wrestling’s card on June 30 and a Ringside Championship Wrestling event in August.
Brigante is temporarily unable to return to the U.S. due to an expired work visa. The champion notified MWR that he is eyeing some time in September as his next Missouri date. He is still within the regulations for remaining champion, and so he will in the interim.
As for the contenders, it is as if Thanos of the Marvel Universe has activated the Infinity Gauntlet. April’s NWL closure seemingly ends the Missouri tenures of many top stars in the State. You can tell who they are; their last matches were all April 7 in Joplin, at the final NWL event.
They stay in the mathematical ranks for now, but we must wait to see if #1Dak Draper, #2Jeremy Wyatt, #4Maverick, #5Gary Jay, or #6Anthony Gutierrez will partner with any Show-Me State promoters. It’s safe to say that #8Jack Foster (Jake Dirden) will return via Dynamo Pro.
For the competitors who actually did wrestle in May and June: #3Jon Webb returns to his consistent glory with victories over Steve Fender, Brandon Espinosa, and #9Jayden Dominic Rose. Webb’s undefeated period advances him seven spots.
Despite the loss to Webb, Rose returns to the ranks, defeating and replacing Kyle Roberts.
The South Broadway Athletic Club has representation once again in the Top 10, as the MMWA Champion #7Brian James’s victories over Damion Cortess and A.J. Williams nudge him into eligibility.
Also, #10Da’Marius Jones has moved from the Top 20 peripheral after he pinned Espinosa in May.
