Dan Walsh (C) vs. Ricky Cruz this Friday night in Glen Carbon, Illinois

Dan Walsh (C) vs. Ricky Cruz

The last time Dynamo Pro was in Glen Carbon, what began as a spirited competition between friends broke down into mayhem with bitter results. Ricky Cruz had preceded his title shot by making light-hearted jokes about the champion but wound up finding the result of the contest no laughing matter. During the even-keeled wrestling contest between champion Walsh and challenger Cruz, Kevin X unexpectedly arrived to take umbrage with being denied a rematch for the Dynamo Pro title following his unsuccessful challenge against Walsh at the previous event. As Walsh, Cruz, and the Dynamo Pro Wrestling official thwarted Kevin X’s attempted interference, the unpredictable, unkempt monster Jake Dirden stormed the ring from out of the crowd. Ricky Cruz quickly cut Jake Dirden off at the pass, but just as quickly found himself caught and pinned by the focused champion Dan Walsh. Walsh had no time to celebrate his victory before Ricky Cruz flattened his own friend with a skull-rattling kick.

It is unclear whether Ricky Cruz was simply frustrated with coming up short in his title opportunity or felt that Walsh had intentionally taken advantage of the distractions. It was perfectly clear, however, that the previously jovial Cruz was in quite a foul mood after his match.

Dan Walsh, our reigning and defending Dynamo Pro Champion, has taken the unusual step of demanding a rematch against a challenger. Neither Walsh nor Cruz has commented on the contentious way their last confrontation ended, but we are told that there were three conditions to this rematch.

No interference.
No distractions.
No excuses.
Walsh-Cruz II

Harley Race, The Harley Race Wrestling Academy, and World League Wrestling, are extremely pleased to announce it’s first guests for the 2013 Harley Race Wrestling Camp.

Mr. Sugabayashi, the president of New Japan Pro-Wrestling, has confirmed his attendance for this year’s week-long wrestling camp based in Eldon, Missouri. New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) is one of the very elite professional wrestling companies in the world. Based out of Tokyo, Japan, NJPW was started in 1972 and is considered by many to be the top wrestling companies in Japan today. Dates for Mr. Sugabayashi have been confirmed as they are scheduled to attend the camp from Tuesday until Friday (although schedules could change).

In addition to New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s president and staff member joining this year’s wrestling camp, Pro-Wrestling NOAH will be represented by Mr. Ryu Nakada and Mr. Ken Hirayama. NOAH is also regarded as one of the top wrestling companies throughout the world. Their relationship with Harley Race has been in existence for over 10 years, created by Mr. Mitsuharu Misawa (founder of Pro-Wrestling NOAH). Since then, World League Wrestling and Pro-Wrestling NOAH’s relationship is stronger than ever. Both companies will be on hand at the Harley Race Wrestling Camp to evaluate talent and teach methods that are commonly used in Japan.

In years past, talents have been able to train at the Pro-Wrestling NOAH dojo in Tokyo. Wrestlers include (but not limited to) newly crowned GHC Tag-Team Champions TMDK (Shane Haste and Mikey Nicholls), Jake Dirden, Jason Jones, Brian Breaker, Ted Dibiase Jr., Trevor Murdock, Ross and Marshall Von Erich, Richie Steamboat, Superstar Steve Fender, Matt Murphy, Wade Chism, Bull Schmitt, and more. More guest trainers will be announced in the near future.

The 2013 Harley Race Wrestling Camp is scheduled to take place November 11th through November 15th. There will be a wrestling event on November 16th which wrestlers from the camp (if chosen) could be asked to perform on the event that night.

To sign up for the event, please go to http://www.harleyrace.com/Camp.htm where you are able to choose from printing out a form to mail it in or sign up online and pay via Paypal. Costs for the camp are $500.00 USD. To reserve a spot in this years training camp, a minimum of $250.00 USD must be paid as a deposit.

Christian Rose body slams Gary Jay at St Louis Anarchy

Christian Rose has been gaining a reputation of being great talker and feared striker. His opponents know that he is capable of bringing the pain.

Former PWI Rookie of the Year Ace Hawkins holds on for dear life as Rose looks to throw him from the rafters at AAPW.

While MWR has had the privilege of seeing him in action at AAPW, St Louis Anarchy, and New Midwest Wrestling, for some time now he has been headlining cards at DREAMWAVE as well.

MWR has been watching Rose develop over the past years in to one of the top stars in the sport.

The main event experience will do him wonders as he is sure to be a part of main events in the Midwest while having the skills to get to the next level anywhere in the world.

WLW Family support Jack Gamble

Posted by flairwhoooooo on September 1, 2013

By Shane Cooper

Six short weeks ago, a local wrestler’s life was almost ripped away. He, his wife, his baby, and a good friend were driving home from a show in St Louis. It was a fairly good wrestling show, as far as promotions not named WWE go, they had a good show and Darren Gamblin more commonly known to wrestling fans as Jack Gamble, won his tag match with the Canadian Destroyer.

On the way back home, their vehicle was hit by a drunk driver at high speed in a head on collision. The driver who hit them was killed in the accident, and in nothing less than a miracle, the Gamblin family survived. The baby in the back seat got out with just a scratch, while the parents were sent to the hospital. Bones were shattered. People prayed. At some moments, family and close friends came to the hospital with intentions of telling their loved one goodbye.

He is now out of the hospital, in a wheelchair, and using crutches when he has the strength. A drunk driver put him in this position, and nearly took his life. He wrestled some of the best matches the indy feds of Missouri have ever seen. His match with Brian Breaker was nominated for match of the year by some in the area, and now, he can’t walk.

People from all around have come together to help support the family in any way they can. Harley Race tonight put together a WLW show with all proceeds going directly to help the family with medical bills. The Cauliflower Alley Club has donated money to help as well. Ace Steel and many other wrestlers have made donations. The fans have done their best to be supportive as well with finances, well wishes and prayers. God has truly blessed this man and his family through everyone that has been willing to help and continues to help, and it is greatly appreciated by them.

At the benefit show tonight, Darren came out on crutches, to a standing ovation. He made his way into the ring, took a deep breath to take in the moment of fans on their feet cheering for him in his hometown. He choked back the tears and offered his heartfelt appreciation for everyone who has been supporting him and his family. He maintaned a positive attitude throughout it all. He proudly stood on one leg, holding his crutches, and stated in front of family, friends, and fans: “Wrestling is in my heart, not my body, I WILL be in this ring again.”

He has the heart, desire, and determination to overcome certain death and come back to the squared circle to entertain us, the wrestling fans. I believe he will.
