Our Thoughts and Hearts Go to the Family and Friends of Heather Savage

Posted by flairwhoooooo on November 9, 2014

 photo hs_zps2f96df59.jpg

Missouri Wrestling Revival is sad to hear of the passing of former WLW Ladies Champion Heather Savage in a car accident this weekend.

Heather Savage was a student of 8-time NWA World Champion Harley Race.  During her time with World League Wrestling, she captured the WLW Ladies Championship on two occasions. On April 27, 2001, she defeated Che Physique in a tournament final to become the 3rd WLW Champion in Buffalo, Missouri. Four days later, Physique would regain the title in Forsyth, Missouri. Savage would bounce back and become a WLW Ladies Champion for the second time on August 1st, 2001 in Springfield, Missouri.

It has been a long time since we had seen Heather Savage in action, but we know that she had many friends and family that cared for her. Not only was Heather Savage a champion wrestler, she was also a mother. It is with our deepest condolences that we will be thinking of the loved ones of Heather Savage during this tragic time.

Jay King Voted the 2014 MWR Best Referee By the Fans

Posted by flairwhoooooo on November 4, 2014

Jay King finds himself in the middle of SICW Classic Wrestling Champions Heath Hatton and Flash Flanagan during an intense battle in East Carondelet, Illinois. Proving it is not safe to be a ref in the Midwest

We would like to thank the huge response for the 2014 MWR Best Referee poll that saw SICW, Dynamo, MMWA, SLA, Beyond and PWCS referee Jay King take the lead early on and never look back. King has the respect of the fans as he tries to maintain order in the wild wild west of St. Louis.

The first runner up was the IWA-Midwest referee Jason Pemberton , who has had to deal with the likes of Tracy Smothers and the Dixieland Destroyer. The second runner up was a man who has made a reputation as a man of honor at Dynamo, WLW, SICW, Beyond and Metro Pro Wrestling   and that is Michael Crase . The third runner up is none other than WLW Graduate Brandon Schmitt, who has officiated some of the biggest matches in WLW and Metro during the MWR Years.

Once again congrats to all the fine referees that are on the list and we hope to see you at the matches in 2014 and beyond.

1st Runner Up
Jason Pemberton

2nd Runner Up
Michael Crase

3RD Runner Up
Brandon Schmitt
