The 2015 MWR Sexiest Male Brandon Aarons to be presented with his trophy at PWE on March 7th

Wrestling fans we would like to welcome you to join us in Pontoon Beach, Illinois on March 7th as we will be covering the prestigious Pro Wrestling Epic tournament to crown a new PWE Champion.

Brandon Aarons, Leone Mephisto, Paco Gonzalez, Danny Adams, Tony Kozina, LaMarcus Clinton, Billy McNeil and Evan Morris will enter the night looking to make history to become the champ. MWR is excited to be in the house to watch as the hard hitting action escalates in and out of the ring to lay claim to the gold.

The tournament is set up to feature four matches in the first round, then the winners of these four matches will then proceed to the final four way elimination match that will lead to the championship.

That is not all !!

MWR will also be on hand to present the 2015 MWR Sexiest wrestler as voted on by you the fans, Brandon Aarons with his trophy during the evening.

There will also be 2 additional matches on the card throughout the night that you will not want to miss.

The tournament alone is worth the small price of $12.00 front row, or $10.00, but there is more, PWE has also brought in the metal band Final Drive to play during the intermission of this star studded event. Be sure to free up your calendar, purchase your tickets and make your way to an Epic evening in Pontoon Beach, Illinois.

Front Row seats to this event are ONLY 12 dollars, all other seating is 10 dollars…. Kids 12 and under are 5 dollars.

World League Wrestling returns this Saturday to Troy, Mo Plus Stacey Shadows vs. Stacey O’Brien on the 28th

WLW kicks off the new year, wrestling will start with WLW Tag Team Champions and soon-to-be-Japanese wrestling stars – High Level Enterprise (Jack Gamble & Jon Webb) facing off against John E. Rock and Jamell Harris.

The next match will have Dave Delorean going one-on-one with Kyle Roberts.

The 3rd match on this event will feature WLW veteran and wrestling extraordinaire – Superstar Steve – going head to head with newcomer to the Race Wrestling Arena – and ROH star Mike Sydal.

Ladies wrestling returns as WLW Ladies Champion Stacey O’Brien will defend her championship against former champion – Miss Natural. This match was demanded by Natural, and was granted due to a rematch clause with the championship.

The main event will feature Michael Magnuson, one half of the former WLW Tag Team Champions – The Black Hand Warriors – participating in a singles match against WLW Heavyweight Champion – Leland Race. This is a first for Magnuson, as he has been in quite a few tag-team matches as of late, but will be challenging for the most prized possession in WLW – the WLW Heavyweight Championship!

Good afternoon wrestling fans. It is time to announce the 2015 MWR Sexiest Male of 2015. Throughout the week you girls (and guys?) have come to Missouri Wrestling Revival.com website to vote for the man that you feel is the sexiest male in the Midwest.

First off, thank you so much, to EVERYONE that took the time to nominate and work with us to make this a success. What a great group of sexy men those were in the contest that can really entertain you in the ring as well as take your breath away. For the wrestlers and their friends that helped us find photos and shared the links to their fans and friends so they can come find the poll on MWR, thank you so much.

Early in the week, “The Sex Icon” Ryan Slade took the lead, and then Dustin Bosworth took over the lead by 3 votes. Sean Orleans would blow away the competition with a strong run midweek heading into Wednesday with an astounding 59 vote lead ahead of Bozworth. On Thursday, I could not believe that Brandon Aarons made a run to try to catch up with Orleans. Aarons would be able to take the lead on Friday by 2 votes and back and forth their fans went. Orleans looked to maintain the lead once again as he went up by 13 mid-afternoon.

With one hour to go it was back and forth with Orleans leading by 11. At 11:30 p.m. Aarons looked to be fighting but by being 6 votes behind time was running out for him and his fans as Team Orleans was still going to the polls. Amazingly with 13 minutes to finish the night Aarons’ fans were able to get enough votes for the tie.

Brandon Aarons’ throughout the contest biggest lead were only 2 votes, so the question was could he handle a last run from Team Orleans fans to be named the 2015 MWR male of the year? In an exciting 9 min flurry the votes came in as Aarons’ pulled away with a 9 vote lead. I watched the polls in the final 3 minutes as it was quiet as a mouse and as the clock struck Midnight, Brandon Aarons had won the 2015 MWR Sexiest Male of the Year.

Look for MWR in the near future to honor Brandon Aarons for his win as we will present him with THE 2015 MWR Sexiest Male of 2015 trophy.

Justice Jone vs. Joey ”The Jet” Avalon Feb 21st in Havana, IL

Justice Jones returns to the Proving Ground, looking to establish the fact he is soon to be king of the jungle. On the heels of a spectacular showing at the Buckley Memorial Tournament, Jones garnered a huge win over international star Tyson Dux and pushed Tommaso Ciampa to the absolute limit before falling just short in what may have been the match of the night. Justice really is the total package with a superb mat game complimenting serious size and power.

Joey”The Jet” Avalon arrives in the Proving Ground with a superior resume, winning matches and regional titles across Wisconsin, Michigan and Northern Illinois. Avalon brings an excellent skill set, smooth ring work and great conditioning, combining it with a classic 80’s rocker throw back style. Joey has won a lot of matches and gained a lot of fans, but I don’t envy Mr. Avalon having to meet Justice Jones on his first trip to PGP, that’s one tough row to hoe. Jones and Avalon could be one of those show stealing matches, both competitors are on the cusp of being “it” indy guys. Will “The Jet” get cleared for take off or will Justice cancel his flight plan? Either way, this is bad ass pro wrestling just waiting to happen!!!

The Lawford Theater(225 W Main, Havana,IL) is locked and loaded with another outstanding PGP card, Jones vs Avalon is just one of the red hot matches you’ll find at NEW FRONTIERS. It’s not just great wrestling and amazing athletes that makes PGP the indy fans best friend, it’s also the wicked good value of only $10($5 for kids), we give you every reason possible to support quality independent wrestling! Ricky Cruz Spotlights Midwest Wrestling Fans

The fans are the most important thing to a wrestler and to the show as a whole. Without fans, there’s no wrestling. Once in awhile, a fan becomes more than a fan to the wrestlers. Those are the fans that come to every show, they follow your every move, and really care for your career. At the end of the day, they are considered more a friend than a fan.

To mention a specific fan is a very difficult thing, especially when you go to so many towns and do so many shows. I would like to share with you a few of those people that in my three years in the Midwest that have crossed that line between a fan and a friend.

I will mention them only by first names since I didn’t ask permission before I wrote this.

Miss Darla

Since I first showed up at SICW, I got to meet Miss Darla. A lady with great knowledge of the sport who is loved and respected by all the wrestlers and crew that work at the shows. She is a hardcore fan of old school wrestling and a great pillar of the SICW fan base.

Little Ben

This young man was brought to the shows of Dynamo Pro by his parents and he was always afraid, very quiet and to himself. He would bring ear muffs and wouldn’t talk to any of the wrestlers. Little by little he became more at ease with everyone at the shows and at least with me he got a lot more personal. He started to get concerned to the point that after shows I had to come outside just so he could make sure I was OK after a rough match. Nowadays we see each other, before or after every night of wrestling and talk about his school, family and how he liked the show. There’s nothing better than asking a little kid for feedback on your work. They are extremely honest and I love that!

Logan

This kid hated me from the start as he was always screaming at me to lose. After a private show I had the chance to talk to him and he told me point blank that he didn’t like me. After a while, he changed his mind and since then I have always enjoyed talking to him and his family. I have also had the opportunity to spend some time with the groups that come with him to the shows. When my son came to visit me in St. Louis, they were a wonderful host and made him feel right at home. Logan and his family, in fact the whole group that comes with him are loyal fans, always have my back and that makes them very special fans to me.

There are a tons of great fans in the Midwest and I appreciate all of them. It doesn’t matter if they boo me or cheer for me, the important fact is that they are there. They support the show and it’s my privilege that I am able to entertain each and every one of them.
