Kris Wyatt Gone But Not Forgotten –New Breed Wrestling Honored a Friend in Eldon, Missouri
Posted by flairwhoooooo on October 25, 2017
Though he never held a World title or wrestled in Japan, Kris Wyatt touched many people in his life. From a loving son and husband, he took time to support local wrestling for many years in Missouri as a group of Harley Race’s World League Wrestling fans called the Fulton Animals. They came to many wrestling events to cheer the good guys and to give the bad ones a hard time. When it was said and done Kris and his group of friends created memories for not only themselves but the wrestlers they supported.
Many years later Kris would team up with former World League Wrestling referee Scott Zei when he decided to start the Missouri base New Breed Wrestling. Kris would be helpful with the sound system, before taking over the booking.
Kris would have been proud of the huge turnout for the sport that he loved. The night started off with a ten bell salute in the honor of Kris and former Central States Wrestling ring announcer Bill Kersten. Former WLW and WWE Superstar Trevor Murdoch made a surprise appearance for a special speech to the fans on what Kris meant to him and his career.
In attendance was his mother Daisy and wife Cindy as well as many extended family ringside. The night would feature many high flying, hard hitting battles and a steel chain match that had the crowd popping all night long worthy of our friend Kris Wyatt.

A Perfect Night with Landin James’s Family at New Breed Wrestling
Posted by flairwhoooooo on May 14, 2017
A night of pro wrestling is a perfect way to get away from your problems. With 2017 beating down on me with bills, car problems and other troubles, a young man and his family helped myself get away from the day to day grind. That young man was Landin James,a young boy who’s grandmother Cyndi had reached out to MWR to make sure that the wrestlers would take a moment with her grandson during the event when New Breed Wrestling came to Chillicothe, Missouri.
In the letter Cyndi explained the hardships of autism, cerebral palsy, tics and epilepsy on a daily basis that Landin at 11 years old has had to deal with. I was excited to hear that NBW promoter Scott Zei was more than willing to offer Landin’s family free tickets as a special guest of the promotion that was set to be a fundraiser for Chillicothe High School Junior prom.
Being different at a young age can be very difficult, but you could never tell it by how polite and the spirit that Landin showed during the New Breed Wrestling night of action. We met up with Landin early on to give Landin a 2016 MWR Yearbook, a MWR t-shirt. the former NBW Champion and Chillicothe’s hometown’s own the Iceman delivered Landin a autographed poster of the show, and a New Breed t-shirt.
At the intermission we were able to get the wrestlers out for a photo opportunity with Landin and the family. Even the one eye bad guy Duke Cornell’s heart was weaken enough to come out to have a photo with this courageous young man.
During the main event for the number one contenders match between the Iceman and Duke Cornell, the action became intense and chaotic.
The ring could not contain them and when Cornell attempted to use a chair on the Iceman, it would backfire when the Iceman took control, then sat Cornell on the chair, then go to the side of the ring to deliver a back splash that decimated Cornell and the chair on the way to a huge win.
As I was packing up and saying my goodbyes, the New Breed Wrestling staff had taken that chair to the back to get it autographed for Landin to take home to him.
Though the night was a success with great action and great gifts it would not compare to the wonderful smile from the Landin and his family during the nights event.
