In the past few weeks, Christian Rose has made it his goal to destroy IWA Unlimited. He’s gone so far as to bring in an army of his own, and has been trying to take out those on the IWAU roster that want to defend the company.

In just three days, the war is on as Rose’s army takes on Joey O’Riley’s: Christian Rose will battle Arik Cannon, MsChif will take on Angelus Layne, Krotch fights Cash Bordin, and the team of Zero Gravity (Brett Gakiya & CJ Esparza) & Shane Hollister battle the team of the Kentucky Buffet (“Original Recipe” Matt Cage & “Extra Crispy” Alex Castle) &, IWAU Heavyweight Champion, Joey O’Riley.

See it all live, and in person, as #DestroyIWAU goes head-to-head with #DefendIWAU on April 14th, 2012 at “Trespassers will be shot on Sight.” Doors open at 6 PM, the show starts around 7, and it’s only $10 to see it all! Check out our Facebook and Twitter pages for more details!

This Saturday will be a big day for Southern Illinois-based All American Pro Wrestling.

Posted by flairwhoooooo on April 12, 2012

First, the promotion’s flagship show “Collision” returns to WSIL-TV 3 at 11 a.m.

The first episode of the second season features Stacey O’Brien vs. The Great Cheyenne, big Bull Bronson in action and an AAPW Tag Team Championship match between Team Overkill of Matt Cage and Christian Rose and the Money Makin’ Jam Boyz of Mississippi Madman and KC Jackson.

For those outside of the WSIL viewing area, the show will be featured online at vimeopro.com/aapw/collision and youtube.com/aapwcollision.

Collision” airs every other Saturday on WSIL. In the week’s between shows, AAPW will air “All-Access,” a new webseries featuring exclusive matches, interviews, segments and behind-the-scenes footage. That show debuts next week.

And mere hours after the first episode of Season Two airs on WSIL, AAPW will present Hands Across Harrisburg, a special benefit show for the victims of the deadly Feb. 29 tornado that claimed seven lives in Saline County, Ill.

The show will be hosted in conjunction with Southern Illinois Relief, who will be hosting a full-day schedule of concerts, silent auctions and more. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., with AAPW’s show set to begin at 2 p.m.

Scheduled for that show are:

AAPW Heavyweight Champion Edmund “Livewire” McGuire vs. Heath Hatton: AAPW’s top prize will be on the line in this contest, as reigning champion McGuire faces Harrisburg’s own Heath Hatton. These two men are friends, but Hatton will be looking to score a big win in front of his friends and family in his second-ever shot at the title.

Jay Spade vs. Matt Cage: This match is a first-round contest in AAPW’s No Limits Tournament, which will crown a new champion. The No Limits division aims to showcase some of the fast-paced, high-impact wrestlers on the roster, and Cage and Spade fit that bill.

Joey O’Riley vs. Christian Rose: This is another first-round No Limits match, pitting the other halves of Team XXX and Team Overkill against each other. Will one team advance to the second round together, or will the victories be split? Both of these No Limits matches will be taped for “Collision!”

Farmer” Billy Hills vs. Bull Bronson: Bronson has run roughshod over the AAPW roster since making his debut. He holds wins over Spade, Robbie Douglas and others. But he’s never really met a man close to his own size in one-on-one competition. Will the fans cheer Hills to the biggest victory of his career, or will Bronson’s reign of dominance continue?

Ace Hawkins and LaMarcus Clinton vs. Roscoe Dwayne Harris and Jimmy Wayne Faygo: This match was originally slated to see Minor Threat of Hawkins and Brandon Espinosa take on The Convoy, but due to circumstances beyond his control, Espinosa will be unable to attend. Clinton, who appeared on the debut “Collision” taping last year, is looking to earn a full-time spot on the roster. Defeating one of AAPW’s biggest tag teams would surely be a step in the right direction.

Justice vs. Dave Osborne: Like Clinton, Osborne hasn’t been seen since the first “Collision” taping last year. But now he’s back, and he’s here with a vengeance. He’s been looking for a spot, and when he heard this newcomer Justice was being given priority, he wanted to send a message to the Harley-riding star.

Tickets for the show are $10 and include the full day of entertainment.

AAPW officials are also involved with From the Rafters Radio, airing at 7 p.m. CST every Thursday on Monster Radio 1150 AM in Southern Illinois and streaming worldwide at wggh.net and aapwrestling.com/ftr-radio. For more details, visit facebook.com/raftersradio and twitter.com/raftersradio.

“The Ace of Anarchy” Davey Vega vs Jaysin Strife has been signed for #VICTORY!!

Posted by flairwhoooooo on April 11, 2012

ACW Net Exclusive Title Match: Davey Vega vs. Jaysin Strife

When Davey Vega won the ACW Net Exclusive title on January 15th in Austin, TX, he knew that he was not only the “Ace of Anarchy” but he was now also the face of the company. With that title comes a lot of challenges as people from all over the world want nothing more than to take that title and becomes Anarchy’s face.

Jaysin Strife comes into Saint Louis Anarchy with a resume that includes winning matches all over the USA, Europe and Germany. Strife, much like Vega, is a very skilled well rounded athlete that can stay on the mat, take to the air, or knock you out with a vicious kick or forearm. Strife may match up with Vega better than any wrestler in Anarchy.

This marks the first title defense for Vega in Saint Louis and could very well be his last. Will Strife shock Anarchy and win the Net Exclusive belt? Will Vega show why he is Anarchy’s Ace?? Will this have any effect on Vega wanting his one on one match with Davey Richards?? Only way to know is to come to #VICTORY!! and find out.

For those of you not aware of Jaysin Strife here is a video of Strife vs. Tyler Black from our firends at F1rst Wrestling.

MWR Exclusive: Young wrestlers learn from the best at Magnum Pro Wrestling – Adam Pearce.

By Brian Kelley

Though wrestling has changed throughout the years of Frank Gotch to Lou Thesz to Harley Race all the way to John Cena, but one constant has to be is proper training from the best in the sport. Earlier this year I was honored to be a special guest of Magnum Pro Wrestling as the then 4-time NWA Worlds Heavyweight champion Adam Pearce took the time to teach the next generation of wrestling hopefulls.

Pearce the night before had just defended the NWA Title in Des Moines, Iowa at 3XWrestling in a classic that looked as if “The Belt Collector” Jeremy Wyatt had become the new champion. On this day we were in Council Bluffs, Iowa Pearce was set to defend hisn title against “Babyface” Tony Cortez but first he was set to work with nine young wrestlers whom wisely took the time to learn from one of the premier wrestling minds in the game today in a seminar.

Pearce with over 15 years of experience in the ring has also been head booker of Ring of Honor while adding 4 NWA World titles to his resume. Each and every time I have seen Pearce in and out the ring, he has carried himself as a Champion. A man who can draw what fans call “HEAT” with the best I have ever seen. Considering that in today’s wrestling it is even harder to draw the fans in with that much emotion due to wrestling perceived to be sports entertainment that’s a HUGE compliment.

When I entered the building Pearce had already began the seminar with a few faces that the MWR fans may know such as the Beautiful Bodies Brian Gott and Derek Cornell who has captured gold in the coverage area. Let me say this, I don’t care how many matches you have had in the ring, for the small fee that Pearce and Magnum was offering this seminar, if you weren’t working a show that night then shame on you.

I say missed opportunities for you if there ever was one.

This look at the seminar is from a non- wrestler and wrestling columnist that could not teach you how to take a bump to save his life but  after being invited to cover over 200 plus shows in the Midwest over the last five years I have to say the first word in wrestling is ”safety” .

With the skill level of the nine men being so different from a beginner to two men who have been active in promotions around the Midwest Pearce would show that he is capable of working with several different levels of talent.

Pearce throughout the camp showed patience with the wrestlers as they made mistakes, when it was time to do a move Pearce asked each one of them if they felt comfortable doing what was asked. Pearce watched them do a lockup, have a mini match, and when needed   stopped the action to give his advice.

While I have been watching wrestling for 30 plus years it is amazing what the keen eye that Pearce had that I missed when watching the students in action. Soft spoken and caring Pearce not only watched but got in the ring to give hands on advice.

As the seminar came to a close, Pearce asked the students if they had any questions. Several were asked and answered by the Champion when one student Pete Sakaris, who has been a friend of MWR since its inception and has also been a ring announcer for Magnum Pro Wrestling asked Pearce about doing proper promos.

After a hard day of working on the basics and some very important information on how to keep the fans involved during the matches, the fun was about to begin. Pearce is the type of wrestler that could talk the fans to the matches. It is amazing how good his promo skills truly are. With that Pearce stated that for them to succeed that they would need to not only wrestle but have charisma. The remaining moments he challenged the wrestlers to shoot promos on each other.

If this would have been American Idol, Pete Sakaris would have been this years winner, with Magnum Pro Wrestling’s and Adam Pearce’s approval I am going to share 3 videos of Pete. The first two is Pete challenging Pearce himself and the third was one that I will never forget, Pearce challenging Pete to shoot on the whole room including the champ himself Pearce , Jaysin Strife and even MWR.

After the shoot promos of Pete, Pearce was all smiles.

At the end of the day I spoke to each of the trainiees who took part in the Adam Pearce seminar and each and every one of them stated the experience was well worth the time and money.

My advice to any wrestler in the Midwest when one of the best wrestlers in the area is giving a seminar, don’t be shy, don’t miss the chance to improve your skills.

Your fans will thank you for it.
