He’s a three-time WWE champion, a hardcore legend and a member of the WWE Hall of Fame. Now, Mick Foley is unleashing the same trademark blend of wit and wisdom, wildness and warmth that made his books so beloved (five self-penned New York Times best-sellers) into his one-man spoken-word stage show, “Tales From Wrestling Past”. Foley has wowed both crowds and critics alike with his unique stage show – leading “Chortle”, the UK’s most respected comedy source to write “Foley himself is charm personified – eloquent, funny and self-effacing” and the decidedly non-wrestling publication “Broadway Baby” to muse, “if you’re interested at all in wrestling you’ll love it; if you’re not, you’ll like it.” Drawing from his 28 years of travel, Foley finds humor in the unlikeliest of places – the loss of an ear, the “dedication” of a porn-star working in a knee-brace, a United States President reciting his wrestling catch-phrase. Foley himself refers to “Tales From Wrestling Past” as “like being in the ring, without getting hurt” – a welcome distinction coming from a man who gave so much, to so many, for so long. Join the Hardcore Legend on his latest journey down life’s highway – an eclectic trip into the surreal world of the days of wrestling past.

Akiko Kuno’s father is Japanese and her mother is . . . dead. She never knew her. The only legacy left by the dead woman is her American blood. Living in small-town Japan, Akiko’s heritage is a burden. Society rejects her. She is stared down, mocked, and outright bullied. On top of it all, her father barely acknowledges her existence.
But Akiko’s father, Tokoyumi Kuno, stays distant for a reason. He is a killer, the top assassin for a secret clan of Shinobi. Pushing Akiko away keeps her safe. Yet, the isolation takes a different toll. The crippling grief and hostile culture are destroying her spirit.
So, Tokoyumi gives his daughter a choice. She can stay in her normal, melancholy life, or learn her father’s secret and abandon everything she knows.
She chooses the world of shadows.
Can Akiko, an insecure half-breed, survive in Japan’s ancient criminal underworld? Will she become a killer herself? Will Tokoyumi reveal even darker secrets?

An astounding tag team battle tops the SICW card in East Carondelet this coming Saturday, Oct. 19. Not only is WWE Hall-of-Famer Hacksaw Jim Duggan a special guest Saturday, but two “odd couples” collide in the main event.
There is as much chance of trouble between both pairs of teammates as there is a chance for a wild war between the teams!
Classic Wrestling Champion Ironman Ken Kasa combines with one of his most dangerous contenders, the clever and nasty Flash Flanagan. And two former Classic titleholders form the opposition — Ron Powers and Ricky Cruz.
That’s right, it’s Cruz and Powers on the same side after a unique set of circumstances brought together two stars who have shared bumps, bruises and spilled blood in an intense feud.
Promoter Herb Simmons did some fast talking putting together this superb duel. He convinced Flash that the best way to earn a title crack was prove to Kasa and his manager Travis Cook how good Flanagan was by helping the champ defeat two dangerous foes. And despite his strained relations with Cook and crew, Simmons somehow got Travis to accept the idea that having someone like Flanagan as a partner would assist in beating Cruz and Powers would push both down the list of challengers.
Simmons further persuaded Powers and Cruz that the best way to a title shot for either would be to swallow and forget their differences short-term. Getting a win over Kasa and a partner like Flash could help either Ricky or Ron earn a title shot.. The fact that both Powers and Cruz have had violent episodes with Flanagan made it even more appealing. The chair-swinging explosion between Flash and Powers, plus a recent title match ending when Kasa got disqualified against Cruz and soon Flash and Powers were slugging it out in the ring had all involved thinking.
So Cruz and Powers try to bury the hatchet …. at least next Saturday in East Carondelet. Hacksaw Duggan will have plenty of action to watch . . . plus:
The Big Texan faces Jake Dirden. Gary Jackson and the unpredictable Dave Vaughn have a rematch with a longer time limit after going to a draw on Sept. 21. Heath Hatton and Alexander Rudolph square off. 410-pound Bull Bronson is back, fiery Michael Cage debuts and more.
And will Travis Cook even be there after be blasted with a guitar by the Honky Tonk Man in Belleville last Saturday?
Clearly, Mr.Duggan will not be bored this Saturday at the East Carondelet Community Center.
The 24th edition of RingSyders on MWR is available now. Ben Simonand Drew Abbenhauswill host big action.

Wilcott also explains why he thinks that wrestling is a big man’s world and why he carries that Shake Weight around. Find out what makes this man “addictive and expensive.”
Also, there’s still no WWE Champion! What gives? The boys discuss this weekend’s events in Greater St. Louis: a “Survivor Series” match at South Broadway Athletic Club and a “Royal Rumble” match in Belleville. Wow!
