All American Pro Wrestling is proud to announce the launch of a new, official magazine, AAPW All Access.

“All American Pro Wrestling is proud to announce the launch of a new, official magazine, AAPW All Access.

The first issue, available for sale at the promotion’s television taping on Sunday, Aug. 28, features AAPW Champion Edmund ‘Livewire’ McGuire’s long history with the championship. McGuire represents the company heading into its television era, which begins at noon on Saturday, Sept. 3, on WSIL TV-3.

The magazine will be priced at $5. For those fans who can’t make the show but would like to own this piece of AAPW history, email aapwallaccess@gmail.com. Online orders will be $8, including shipping. But, of course, AAPW will want to be in Marion, Ill., on Aug. 28 to see Ring of Honor World Champion Davey Richards make his appearance in an AAPW ring.

ROH Champion Davey Richards to appear on AAPW Collision

Fans at Saturday’s “AAPW Collision” taping were treated to a night of intense in-ring action and a fair amount of surprises, proving why it pays to be there in person rather than just watching on TV. 

The big surprise of the night came when Executive Producer Chris Hagstrom told fans Ring of Honor World Champion Davey Richards would be appearing at the next “Collision” taping on Sunday, Aug. 28, at the Black Diamond Harley-Davidsion Warehouse in Marion. 

Richards is considered by many to be one of the best wrestlers in the world. He captured the ROH title from tag team partner Eddie Edwards in June and has found success wrestling across the globe, including earning a spot in the semi-finals of this year’s Best of the Super Juniors tournament in New Japan Pro Wrestling. 

“Having the nationally recognized heavyweight champion from Ring of Honor on ‘Collision’ shows how All American Pro Wrestling continues to grow and give back to the fans. We couldn’t have been happier with the response,” Hagstrom said. 

Why is Richards coming to AAPW? The only way to find out is by attending the August taping.

AAPW also debuted a new, official “Collision” T-shirt, produced by Silkworm. The shirts, black with the show’s logo on the front, will be available beginning at the August taping. One lucky fan, Josh Alderman of Marion, took home the first shirt.

They are the Dudleys of their generation in the Midwest. They would go on to capture the MMWA-SICW title so many times that wrestling expert Patrick Brandmeyer stated that to figure out the history of the MMWA-SICW tag titles all you have to do “Just fill in the blanks in between the Lumberjacks reign.”

Lack of title defenses during the MWR years hurt them in their legacy but a great match with the 2009 MWR Tag Team of the Year The Hooligans only added to their legacy.

The Lumberjacks were featured for the MMWA-SICW 50 year anniversary the St Louis Dispatch put the brothers on the front page of a great look at wrestling in St Louis. Members of the Missouri Wrestling Hall of Fame.

The lost MWR Matt Murphy interview.

Earlier this summer, I was able to interview the Metro Pro Wrestling commissioner Matt Murphy after a great show in Lawrence Kansas. I got home and downloaded the video along with several others and for some reason it wouldn’t download. I swear I spent hours working on getting it on my computer trying to get his interview to work. With no luck and irritation I had to give up.

So I finally gave in went and got a new computer. This week I was going through my old computer and lo and behold what did I find? A portion of that interview, though the quality was near awful I was able to salvage a good portion of it.

MWR Readers I am happy to present you with an interview with the best kept secret in the Midwest Matt Murphy.

Fans you will not want to miss an opportunity to check out Matt Murphy and Metro Pro Wrestling this Saturday in Kansas City.
