If you have never seen the ONE AND ONLY Curly, then there is no better of a time than this fall at AAPW TV tapings. The charismatic superstar once had 99 Three Stooges tattoos on his body. Lets take a look at Rickey Thein of WSIL3 an ABC affiliate, who ran a story a while back taking a look at his love for the loveable threesome. Click here to read the story.

Currently Curly is one half of the AAPW Tag team Champions with Heath Hatton and we await word for their opponents heading into Sunday August 28th with AAPW Champion Edmund “Livewire” McGuire, ROH World Champion Davey Richards, Shane Rich, The Golden Boy Greg Anthony, Playboy Paul Rose, Ax Allwardt, Seth Knight, Pokerface and many more of your favorite AAPW Superstars.

Hail to the King – A Preview of the 2011 King of Des Moines Tournament

August 2011

For diehard Midwest wrestling fans, there may not be a more exciting event all year than the King of Des Moines tournament, 3XW’s annual August traditional. August 26 at All Play in Des Moines marks the third edition of this one-night tournament and the second year in a row featuring 8 competitors battling in traditional singles matches over three rounds. Winner takes home a massive trophy!

In my opinion, the 2011 tournament is shaping up to be the most unpredictable yet! Four very interesting opening-round bouts featuring long-time 3XW competitors that – and I can hardly believe this myself – have never faced each other in singles matches here in 3XW. Let’s look at the matches:

Maddog McDowell with Skylar Pierce vs. “The Unbreakable” Zach Thompson

3XW – Jeremy Wyatt vs Zach Thompson – King of Des Moines Tournament 2010

Posted by flairwhoooooo on August 23, 2011

3XWrestling is gearing up for their annual King of Des Moines tournament later this month. At the last show two dominate wrestlers went to war for the 3XWrestling Championship as Brian Ash defended his title against Jeremy Wyatt. When the dust settled, there was a first, Brian Ash would submit to” The Belt Collector”. This would be the first time ever Ash has ever submitted in a 3XW ring.

While we wait for the moment for this year’s 3XW King of Des Moines tournament, let’s take a look at one of last year’s tournament matches as Wyatt would meet Zach Thompson in a semifinal match up of the 2nd-annual 3XW “King of Des Moines” Tournament. This match took place Aug. 6, 2010 at the Des Moines Social Club. Commentary by Midnight Guthrie and Skylar Pierce and production by SEP Video. Congratulations to Evan Bourne for becoming one half of the WWE Tag Team Champs with Kofi Kingston.

Posted by flairwhoooooo on August 22, 2011

MWR would like to send out a congratulations to one of the most exciting wrestlers in the sport today, St Louis’s own Evan Bourne who tonight with Kofi Kingston defeated McGillicutty and Otunga for the WWE Tag team Championships.

Before becoming a World Champion Evan Bourne thrilled fans in the Midwest while earning the reputation as one of the premier high flyers today.

Bourne, of course is the brother to Midwest Superstar Mike Sydal who can currently be seen around the Midwest including this friday’s 3XWrestling King of Des Moines tournament taking on Chad Mylan’s protégé The Mauler.

Once again congratulation goes out to Evan Bourne for this monumental moment in his career.

#55 Ace Hawkins

Posted by flairwhoooooo on August 22, 2011

In a very short time young Ace Hawkins has exploded on the scene in the Midwest. Hawkins has formed an off again, on again tag team with Brandon Espinosa. At times the team has been volatile, with glimpse of some great moments including a Ring of Honor appearance in 2010.

The exciting Ace Hawkins has been making waves in both MMWA-SICW and Ohio Valley Wrestling this summer taking on all challengers no matter how big or small.

High flying and a little bit cocky, but always dangerous he has had his eyes on several titles around the country including the IHW Illinois title held by Evan Money and the PWE Title held by partner/ rival Espinosa.

We are excited to have Ace Hawkins as the number 55 trading card in the MWR Trading Card set.
