MsChif receives her 2012 MWR Sexiest female trophy.

Posted by flairwhoooooo on April 30, 2012

IMG_7542

In the month of February Dubray Tallman asked the fans to vote in the second annual Missouri Wrestling Revival’s Sexiest wrestler of the year. For 2011 the voting it were the men in the Midwest who was up for the Sexiest male of the year. Bailey Mannix went on to have the bragging rights and a trophy for his mantel.

This time it was the girls turn, or should I say the guys turn to vote as they had to choose between some of the sexiest women in pro wrestling.

The votes came in fast all the way to the end. It the final hours it looked as if “The Latino Princess” Lucy Mendez , IWAP head cheerleader Patty Bach and Taylor Made were about to make a run to win the award. But when the green dust settled the MsChif fans would not be denied as they came out in droves to vote for one of the most respected female wrestlers in the sport to allow her to capture another title to her resume.

In a career that has spanned over ten years, she has aged finer than any wine in the ring and out of it. MsChif combines a rare combination of true old school wrestling talent and sex appeal while maintaining an incredible respect for the sport while giving her fans a 100 percent every night.

Everyone at MWR would like to congratulate MsChif for being named the 2012 MWR Sexiest Female of the Year by you the fans.

To keep up with MsChif , purchase her AWESOME merchandise or if you want to be in contact with other MsChif fans on her message board click here.

Chase King goes high risk- Photo Credit Mike Van Hoogstraat

A young wrestler in the Midwest can be a hard road to take but young Chase King has been working hard to find success. While wrestling at the historic South Broadway Athletic Club, King has been wise enough to reach out to the 2011 MWR Wrestler of the Year Brandon Espinosa for further training.

King has ventured out in 2011 to several other promotions to test his skills against a variety of opponents. A trip to Kentucky allowed him to get seen by the great promotion Ohio Valley Wrestling has been a highlight but Chase King’s goal is much higher.

In 2012, he has already captured gold when he defeated Max Archer for the MMWA TV title.

Look for Chase King to capture many more titles in 2012 and beyond.

Code Black” on May 11, 2012 IWA Unlimited

Posted by flairwhoooooo on April 27, 2012

Photobucket

Two big matches just announced for “Code Black” on FRIDAY May 11th. In addition to the blockbuster Frantic Four Corner showdown for the Heavyweight Title of Joey O’Riley vs. Jimmy Karryt vs. AT Brooks vs. Christian Rose, we now have the following to look forward to:

The team of Darin Corbin & Reed Bentley will take on The Kentucky Buffet in tag team action. Christian Rose’s quest to #DestroyIWAU continues as he brings in his good friend, Bentley and a man who attempted to #DestroyIWAU last year, Corbin. Can this team make good on Rose’s promise to kill this company?

Also, Blake Reed will finally get his hands on Scott Parker. On Wednesday Night Wrestling, Scott embarrassed the big man by cutting off some of his hair. Reed was livid and had to be escorted from the arena by several wrestlers. Tensions are high with this one.

Rob Schamberger honors Fritz Von Erich

Posted by flairwhoooooo on April 27, 2012

Acrylic on 24″x24″ wood

Fritz Von Erich is one of the most influential men in professional wrestling’s history. Born Jack Adkisson, his larger-than-life wrestling persona as evil Nazi (like there was another kind of Nazi) Fritz Von Erich became the name he would be forever be known as. He was trained by the legendary Stu Hart, and went on to thrill fans across North America and in Japan. He won the AWA World Title in 1963, and then went on to be a mainstay in the Central States territory of the NWA. In the late 1960′s he became the head promoter for the Dallas territory and the adjoining Houston and San Antonio territories.

It’s in Texas that he’ll always be remembered as a legend. In the early 1980′s he formed the storied World Class Championship Wrestling promotion, known for its high production values, large syndication, and most notably: Exceptional wrestling. It’s a who’s who of greats that came out of WCCW, like The Fabulous Freebirds, Christopher Adams, Abdullah the Butcher, Bruiser Brody, and a young Stunning Steve Austin. WCCW is best known for the Von Erich family, though. Fritz’s sons were among the most athletic and charismatic wrestlers in the world, some becoming World Champions themselves.

The Von Erich legacy continues today, with son Kevin Von Erich bringing his own sons Marshall and Ross to Harley Race’s school here in Missouri to train. Fritz’s granddaughter Lacey Von Erich is also involved in the wrestling world. It’s awesome to see a name become so beloved that was originally for an evil Nazi. Only in pro wrestling, my friends.
