LaMarcus Clinton looks to take down the giant –CWC Champion Ron Powers this Saturday

Posted by flairwhoooooo on June 12, 2011

When CWC Champion Ron Powers saw the cheers that young LaMarcus Clinton received from the fans, its no wonder he called out the young star for a one on one battle on June 18th in East Carondelet Illinois.

Clinton brings to the ring high flying, high risk and breathtaking moves but can he overcome the awesome power of one of the top wrestlers to ever come out of the Midwest?

We caught up with LMC right after the contract was signed between himself and Ron Powers.

East Carondelet Community Center) 823 State St East Carondelt. Il 62240

Let’s hear from the young challenger prior to the biggest match of his career

Also in attendance will be WWE Hall of Fame wrestler Ted Dibiase.

To the great fans of MRW. We all should be thankful to the staff at MWR because they are the only webiste that tells it like it is. They keep their site updated and without them the word of what is taking place in the wrestling business wouldn’t get around. Just as in the case of Ron Powers accusing me of trying to have him taken out. Ron replied to a post on the MWR site and my phone hasn’t stop ringing. Keith Smith and I attended a couple of other shows over the past week or so showing our support and I had fans coming up talking about Powers post. I assured them Powers is a man of little words, but he means what he states. Does his words or threats concern me, you bet they do, will I let him cause me to stop doing business the way I have been doing for well over thirty, you can bet I won’t. I feel the fans of the SICW the MMWA and our new program wrestling explosion deserve the best. Yes Ron is one of the best, but is he the best, opinions may vary on that statement, but
I can’t let that stop me from doing what the fans have come to expect from me. So Ron Powers can threaten me all he wants, or he can talk about how he beat Cowboy Bob Orton, how he beat Dory FUnk Jr, and how if “The Million Dollar Man” Ted Dibiase gets in his business next Saturday June 18th, he will have a price to pay to him. Well Ron’s memory of the Orton, and Funk matches differ from what I witnessed. I guess since he is telling the story he can tell it the way he wants. However, my version and memory is different from his and those of you that have known me all these years know I don’t need to lie. If Ron thinks he ran rough shot over Orton and Funk, then when he wakes up from his dream, he just may be nose to nose with the ” Million Dollar Man paying the ultilmate price. Remember Ron, you and I go back many years and I too, like Ted Dibiase knows, Every man has a price, I just wonder what price you are going to pay next Saturday if you get in “The Million Dollar Man’s
bussiness.

MMWA-SICW – Herb Simmons

Ron Powers replies back to Herb Simmons

Herb, I’m looking at what time you posted your comments, 3;43am. Can you just not sleep, or is the nightmare of me being your SICW Champion waking you at night? For someone to write this at that hour, I guess we know the answer to that. You talk about the Orton and Funk matches, but you fail to mention they were tag matches. Not adding to the fact that both of your teams had to cheat to win, and pay your refs off for the quick three count. You can put me and Vincent in all the tag matches you want. Your guys might win a battle or two, but we will win the war. The funny thing is, I don’t lose one on one. You bring in these big names, trying to teach me a lesson. The only one getting schooled, big guy, is YOU! Didn’t you read my last post? I let you see, what I want you to see. As far as this Saturday, I’m going to beat LMC so bad, its gonna look like Rodney King got off easy. And Ted, this isn’t the 80’s. If You even look at me funny, your gonna need that million dollar belt, to pawn for medical bills.

Sincerely yours, The Champ
Ron Powers

Michael Barry *Photo Credit Bill Smith*

The talents of Michael Barry has earned him time in a WWE ring in the past while his charisma and hard work is the reason so many fans call him MR Saturday Night.

MWR is proud to have Barry as a part of the MWR Trading card series. Barry trained under former Central States great Sonny Myers as he has kept busy building a reputation as one of the very best outside the MWR coverage area.
