LELAND RACE REGAINS THE WLW BELT FROM ACE STEEL

World League Wrestling’s camp show was featured for the very first time at Race Wrestling Academy in Troy, Missouri. This year the camp not only featured the usual suspects of the top promotions in the world including World Wrestling Entertainment, Pro Wrestling NOAH, but as well New Japan thus improving on a camp that is the premier week in the Midwest year in and year out.
Trainers throughout the week would include Harley Race, Dr. Tom Prichard, Beautiful Bobby Eaton, Taiji Ishimori, took part in teaching valuable lessons and advice to students from around the world. After a week of dedication and hard work from everyone involved, Saturday night would be for the fans with a night filled of WLW action.
Dreams happen at WLW in November, and this year was no different as the doors opened at 4 for those that were fortunate to take the opportunity to meet and greet with the legends as well as having their photo taken with Race, Funk, and āBeautifulā Bobby Eaton while having the rare chance to hold onto Raceās NWA Worlds Championship belt that they were able to get printed off as an 8×10 so they could get them autograph from the wrestling greats.
The main event would feature the WLW Champion Ace Steel defending his title against the man he defeated for the belt on July 26th, in Troy, Missouri, Harley Raceās son LeLand Race. The challenger Race quickly took it to the champ, causing Steel to retreat. If Race had learned anything during the summer of 2014 from āCrazyā Ace Steel is that he a master of the mind games, so Race was calm and collected during the stalling and complaining from the champ.
Race forced the action and was able to have Steel reeling, but as the action spilled onto the outside, pandemonium was in full effect. As Steel attempted to chop Race, Race was able to move in time causing the champ to deliver a painful blow to himself onto the outside steel turnbuckle. With the action back in the ring, submissions were traded between two of the great wrestlers of today, yet it would be Leland Race who would seal the victory when he reversed a powerbomb into a jack knife pin .
