Breaking news: Manager Travis Cook has been suspended from Southern Illinois Championship Wrestling for six weeks until October 1.

Posted by flairwhoooooo on August 21, 2012

Photobucket

Travis Cook is not all smiles today as news came in that he will be gone till Oct 1st 2012- Photo Mike Van Hoogstraat.

At a card August 18 at the East Carondelet Community Center, Ironman Ken Kasa, who is managed by Travis  Cook, lost a controversial decision to Classic Wrestling Champion Ricky Cruz. After the bout, Cook got into an angry dispute with referee Jim Harris. When Harris turned to leave, Cook clubbed Harris from behind.

This brought promoter Herb Simmons into the dispute as he ordered Cook from the ring. Cook and Simmons then got into a violent argument, during which Simmons suspended Cook. When Cook continued to scream, Simmons – who is also the mayor of East Carondelet – called police to handcuff Cook and take him from the building.

No criminal charges were filed, but Cook was ordered to stay out of East Carondelet until at least October 1. While Cook is expected to appeal the suspension, it is unlikely anything could be scheduled until later this fall so in the end – Travis Cook is out of business in SICW until October 1.

WANTED : Top stories for the 2012 MWR Yearbook from the MWR promotions and wrestlers.

Posted by flairwhoooooo on August 20, 2012

As we head into the final 4 plus months of 2012, and barring the end of the world and if all goes as planned we hope to deliver to the fans the second annual MWR Yearbook.

What I am looking for is for MWR promoters and their staff to work together to send in their top stories in their promotions. I need not only the headlines but the article written for them. If I was there when it happen I did my best to try to get it done myself, though sometimes I get behind. I am not going to watch YouTube videos to shows I didn’t attend to write stories for this book.

Features we are looking for are the

1) Main title in your promotions title changes in monthly order.
2) Stories of special guest that wrestled or made appearance for your company.
3) Stories on your promotion supporting the community, fundraisers, etc.
4) Positive top stories of wrestlers that made an impact on the national scene.

Feel free to send in photos but PLEASE get permission from the photographer for them to be in the book to be sold, send me their name and contact address to confirm this.

I am also looking for reporters to donate their time to take part in exclusive features for next year’s yearbook that could be stories, interviews etc. of the wrestlers in our coverage area.

This is the honest truth; I can tell that the writing on the wall is that my time will be very limited this fall so if you want your company to represent properly then please assist me in making sure we honor all the hard work that you do by having it featured properly. . I can’t promise everything you want in the book will be included but I will do my best
So if you care enough about having your company featured please send me a list of all that you feel needs to be in the yearbook and I may already having stories and photos for that story already done.

Send your list of the above to me at FLAIRWHOOOOOO@YAHOO.COM and I try to get back with each of you promoter separately to do my best to give you the proper coverage you deserve.

Last but not least MWR promoters Dubray and I are both in school, and working a part time job. Due to time, homework and funds Dubray and I will be attending more shows closer to home than normal. It’s not that I don’t want to be at your shows as that is the part of the site I love the most, it’s all about trying to improve my life and better my chances to make more of an impact in pro wrestling. If any promoters feel as if they are being slighted because of that and don’t want to be involved with MWR I understand. For my friends that understand please feel free to still send in what you want to be on the site as I still have a deep passion to support you and pro wrestling on a whole.

Sincerely,

Brian Kelley

Oct. 20, All American Pro Wrestling’s 6th annual benefit show for the American Cancer Society.

Posted by flairwhoooooo on August 19, 2012

On Oct. 20, All American Pro Wrestling celebrates its sixth anniversary with “Zero Hour,” the promotion’s second season finale. Traditionally, the anniversary show has always also served as a benefit for the American Cancer Society.

After a few lackluster years of barely raising their goal they want to pull out all the stops and raise as much money as possible to turn over to the ACS after it’s over. To reach that goal, they are organizing a silent auction/raffle/combination of the two. AAPW are seeking donations from people within the wrestling world and outside of it to be used as prizes/auction items. 100 percent of proceeds will go straight to the ACS.

Travis Cook suspended and sent away in handcuffs…Matt Murphy vows to destroy “Whatever is left of St Louis Wrestling!”

Posted by flairwhoooooo on August 19, 2012

Breaking news from SICW

The Manager of Champions Travis Cook has been very open about being untouchable at SICW. The tensions between the two have been at an all-time high since Cook has been back from his self imposed retirement. Cook has aligned himself with former protégé and one of the finest wrestlers at SICW in Dave Vaughn and has introduced the fans to the mysterious Ken Kasa.

Every chance that Cook has had he has let everyone know that he could do whatever he wanted, that he and his men where the “meal ticket to all of SICW success.”  Month after month Cook has been having his presence known during his mens matches  to allow his men the extra edge over his opponents

MWR received reports from  our fans that SICW promoter Herb Simmons suspended Cook until further notice after he stepped over the line  tonight by putting his hands on referee Jim Harris over protest after his man Kasa lost a very close matchup to Classic Wrestling Champion Ricky Cruz.  Simmons told Cook not to leave and come back till he was called upon, which only infuriated Cook to became more belligerent than ever.  We were then told that the police were summoned thus leading to Cook being put in handcuffs and removed from the building.

If that wasn’t enough for any promoter to deal with in one evening another wrestling mastermind was sending a message to the promotion of SICW.  Matt Murphy returned to SICW in excellent form in a win against Brian James. Yet it was the chilling words from Murphy that caught the attention to all that heard him as he called out Simmons,  SICW’S Larry Matysik, Keith Smith and stated that “He will destroy WHATEVER is left of St Louis Wrestling.

It looks as if time away didn’t soften any love loss between Murphy and SICW.

We also was sent in word that the young powerhouse Alexander Rudolph  was also out of control after destroying three men and it only got worse when Cruz entered the ring and order had to restored .

When the lights when out tonight for the SICW staff they have to be wondering how did it all get out control.

We hope to have more info as they come in at MWR!!!
