In August, “3G” Eric Wayne was scheduled to face Ring of Honor Champion Davey Richards, who was pulled from the show by Sinclair Broadcasting. He’s since been demanding better competition, so at Main Event on Jan. 14, he’ll face former NWA World Heavyweight Champion Colt “Boom Boom” Cabana! What do you think, fans?
AAPW Main Event
Featuring PAC, Colt Cabana and El Generico

Black Diamond Harley-Davidson Warehouse
Marion, Ill.
The Competitors: “3G” Eric Wayne is a third-generation wrestler following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, who competed in the legendary Memphis territory. Colt Cabana is an internationally renowned wrestling star who has competed and won titles around the world, including a brief stint in WWE.
The Backstory: Wayne had been scheduled to face Ring of Honor World Champion Davey Richards at a “Collision” taping in August. Sinclair Broadcasting, the corporate owner of ROH, pulled Richards from the show, leaving Wayne without an opponent. Jay Spade stepped up, but Wayne put him right back down. Since then, Wayne has remained vocal in the locker room, demanding more competition. AAPW officials have responded by granting Wayne a match against the former NWA World Heavyweight Champion.
What’s at Stake: Wayne is looking to back up his words with a victory. Defeating an opponent of Cabana’s caliber will position Wayne near the top of the AAPW rankings heading into the second season of “Collision.” For Cabana, this match is a matter of pride and proving to the AAPW fans he deserves to be recognized as one of the most entertaining wrestlers in the industry today.
