Tonight, at MMWA-SICW’s show in East Carondelet, IL Herb Simmons, Tony Casta and Keith Smith made the executive decision to change the company’s policy on joining their roster.
An open-door policy is being put into effect, allowing wrestlers from any promotion across the Midwest to work with MMWA-SICW. A tryout will be held in the near future. Miller said that anyone from the Hooligans to “The Rebel” Jeremy Wyatt could grace an MMWA-SICW ring.
The trio also announced a pro wrestling exhibition that will take place at the St. Charles Convention Center May 7-9. Already confirmed for the event are “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Ted Dibiase, Bob Orton Sr., Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, the Rock N’ Roll Express and Jake “The Snake” Roberts, among many others. Former Wrestling at the Chase Announcer Larry Matysik will emcee the event.

I will be putting this on my schedule, for sure. It’s just before finals week, but who cares!?

This was great news, I understand from last night show that Herb Simmons has been selected to be the Event Coordinator for the Wrestling Legends on Tour. This should show the wrestling circle that the MMWA & SICW are the number one group in the midwest. And now with them opeing up their group to others shows that they are planing to be around a lot longer. Herb Simmons and Tony Casta have done more to keep wrestling alive in the St. Louis area then any other group or person has ever done. If you were there last night and heard the names Herb Simmons mentioned that will be apart of this big event in May, would show you the connection that they have. and to have Larry Matysik has the host adds evething to this big event. Can’t wait to hear more about this.

What a show last night in Eats Carondelet. Not only was the show great but the two big announcements. Open door policy, new faces. Just like the draft of the good days. And the Wrestling Legends on Tour. Promoter Herb Simmons made a major announcment. He has been asked to be the Event Coordinator for the biggest show to come to the St. Charles Convention Center on may 7-8-9. Greats from the past, Roddy Piper, Abdullha the Butcher, Dory & Terry Funk, Kamala, Rock N Rool Express, Col. Buck Robley, Road warrior animal, Ken Patera, and many more will be there. This is going to be the best thing that has taken place in St, Louis for the wrestling fans. And Larry Matysik will be hosting this thing. Larry and Herb still working to keep the days of Wrestling at the chase alive.
