Last night fans around the world received the news that the number one wrestling news site in in the Midwest has teamed up with one of the hottest wrestling radio shows in the word today, Brady Hicks (Pro Wrestling Illustrated) IN THE ROOM.

During an exciting night fans tuned in at WEXP Philadelphia and thebradyhicks.com to hear that rising female sensation Santana G will be featured in the MWR Trading card series with a team up with the IN THE ROOM wrestling show.

With artwork from Raven Johnson on the talented Santana G this card will be a must have for all wrestling fans young and old.The number of her card in the set will be announced in the near future.

Let’s take a look at the official announcement from Bradyhicks.com.

As announced last night on IN THE ROOM by Brady Hicks, an agreement has been reached with Brian Kelley of Missouri Wrestling Revival and Raven Johnson to create a set of limited-edition Santana Garrett – IN THE ROOM trading cards that feature not just the beautiful face of future WWE/TNA star Santana, but that of Brady Hicks and IN THE ROOM as well. What Brady Hicks didn’t announce is that those cards should be printed and available to all Conclave guests.

In addition, co-host Derrick McDonald announced plans to join Brady, DJ, and the entire Hell in a Cell Talk Radio crew in taking part in at least some of the festivities for the ITR Fan Conclave II. This schedule is as follows:

9/14 CHIKARA King of Trios (Easton, PA) or WSU (Deer Park, NY)

The next couple of weeks should be interesting here on IN THE ROOM and TBH.com … with a slew of surprisingly good guests and … in August … our next ITR SuperShow featuring the SummerSlam go-home.

If all goes according to plan, I’ll be in Los Angeles for that show.

Truth be told, it’s been a LOOOOOONG time since I’ve done any traveling for this show or Web site … too long actually. In the time since I caravanned down to Atlanta for NWA Legends Fanfest last year with some old friends, I’ve passed on opportunities to go to WrestleReunion (Los Angeles AND Toronto), WrestleMania (Miami), and The Big Event (New York). And I think it’s almost time. If you’re out on the West Coast, be on the lookout in the coming days and weeks as more information on that possible LA trip develops. California is one of my favorite places in the world. I really hope I get to go back.

Tonight – ITR w Santana Garrett

Last night I started doing research into the young and beautiful Santana Garrett. This interview is actually the result of an agreement with Brian Kelley of Missouri Wrestling Revival (who was featured on the show a few weeks ago). The details?! Tune in tonight to hear the exciting announcement I have.

Anyway, apparently I was familiar with Santana … an aspiring Diva … and didn’t even realize. Santana Garrett was the valet for Orlando Jordan during his Threesome angle in TNA 2-1/2 years ago. Remember her? I do.

And I’m stoked for tonight.

ITR Conclave Info

This year’s Fan Conclave is definitely taking shape, and it’s going to be a great time. I’ve already heard from several listeners who will be attending for some or all of the events. My old buddy DJ (ITR) will make an appearance, as will the Dean Dixon and the Hell in a Cell crew. I definitely recommend clicking on the ITR Conclave graphic on the scroller here on the right hand side of the page. It’s there you’ll find all the late-breaking news as ITR Fan Conclave ’12 takes shape.

Join us tonight for Pro Wrestling Illustrated very own Brady Hicks IN THE ROOM radio show LIVE at 8:30 CST !!!

Big show for tonight’s IN THE ROOM on WEXP and http://thebradyhicks.com/, LIVE at 8:30 PM Central time . A recent Diva stops by, plus Brian Kelley of Missouri Wrestling Revival, open phone lines, and more than an hour of wrestling talk with “the gang” – Brady Hicks (Pro Wrestling Illustrated), Derrick Mcdonald, Anthony Sarlo, DJ (In The Room). — with Vince Gillett .

From Brady Hicks.com

A Diva who was on Raw not too long ago has agreed to come IN THE ROOM tonight, and I couldn’t be more excited.

After all, one of the glaring holes on WWE Raw last night (and it’s something I’ve spoken about in the past but had no idea just how bad it was) is the sad, sad state of WWE’s Women’s division last night. Obviously it’s been devolving for a while but has never been so apparent as last night when we all saw just how many under-developed (CHARACTER-WISE … pervs) the women are who have been thrust into the spotlight.

Yesterday, I had the chance to talk to one of those Divas who was on Raw not too long ago, and she has agreed to come IN THE ROOM right here (courtesy of Spreaker Radio and WEXP Philly) LIVE, at 9:30 PM EST. All that, plus Brian Kelley of Missouri Wrestling Revival, an open phone line – (609) 755-5ITR, and Brady Hicks, Derrick McDonald, and Anthony Sarlo talking all the wrestling news for an hour and a half! Be sure to check it all out tonight, right here on http://www.thebradyhicks.com!

But seriously, about this division. Without Kelly Kelly and The Bellas – and that’s to say nothing to missing Kharma, Eve Torres, Melina, and so many other decent wrestlers – I think WWE is at a dangerous point with this division. In the past, the company has obviously been in a position where they’ve had less Divas on the roster, but it was not a good time in WWE’s history when just one or two women were carrying all the load. Also keep in mind that the last time that was the case, they weren’t looking to fill 10+ hours of TV/Internet time each week.

There has to be a breaking point.

Maybe it just seems bad because Eve is out filming that TV show. Maybe her and Kelly will come back from their respective time off and Kharma will return and all will seem okay with the women’s division. I don’t see it happening, but maybe. The truth is that with a dozen or so Divas on the roster WWE should, feasibly, be able to devote an entire show to women’s wrestling, and not just one two-minute match every three weeks. It speaks terribly to their lack of vision and planning … unless they’ve got something brewing. Believe me, I hope that they do.

Because what’s boiling in the pot right now absolutely stinks.
