Missouri Wrestling Revival celebrates our 2,000th post.
Posted by flairwhoooooo on February 22, 2012
By Brian Kelley
If I leave here tomorrow
Would you still remember me?
————–Lynyrd Skynyrd
In just a little over four years, Missouri Wrestling Revival has been your source for pro wrestling around the Midwest. Today we celebrate our 2,000 post where we have brought you the fans FREE info, NO POP UPS on the site as we feature the hottest young wrestlers of today and honoring the men and women of yesterday.
Thank you goes out to many people, so many in fact that there is no way that I could name them all here in this post. At the start we had our friends Josh Ray and Kari Williams providing great material for the start and though they have left the MWR family. Their hard work with the foundation is what got MWR started off right.
We appreciate each and every fan that have visited the site, much love goes out to the promoters for their hospitality, thank you to the wrestlers for the respect they have given us along with a wide variety of promos, some have been awful, some have been a lot of fun and their have been those that have been great.

If you own a business and are currently looking for a fun way to advertise your product at a fellow local business, then I highly recommend you to contact your local wrestling promotion to find out fun ways to get the word out about your business. This photo is at 3XW in Des Moines, Iowa features Aspen Athletic Clubs as they proudly sets up a table to reach the 200 plus fans in attendance, 3XWrestling stars Sparrow and Sir Bradley Charles pose with an Aspen representative Luke Dickens . Just a few other sponsors around the Midwest is Monster energy drinks at MECW, Mueller Furniture store at SICW , Rocky Comfort Builders for AAPW are supporters of pro wrestling while getting their name out to the masses.
Thank you goes out to all of the photographers who have been very generous in providing photos for the promotions and wrestlers in our area so that the fans can not only know the names of the stars but what they look like. I truly love photos and the photographers give the Midwest wrestlers the first class feel that they deserve.

Wrestling fans have a great opportunity to meet the stars up close and personal at your local wrestling show. Here at Pro Wrestling Phoenix, this young child got a photo with former PWP Champion Tony Cortez. When this child grows up she will be able to show her children a photo of her as a baby with Cortez who once challenged for the NWA World Championship.
We have also been blessed with some great artist and graphic artist whom have shared their talent to our site. Amazing art that has been featured on the site from some of the top talents in that genre on the MWR Year in Awards as well as the MWR Trading Card series.

AAPW announcer Kevin Hunsperger needed the support of the 405 AAPW faithful at the show during his huge match against Mike Masters during January’s AAPW Main Event, and the fans came through for him.
We have been blessed to have articles written by a former Amazon Best seller author Matt Murphy including a must read from Matt for all aspiring wrestlers at the top link of the site, words of wisdom from the wrestling star “Golden Boy” Greg Anthony along with the honor of being able to represent the ST Louis Hall of Fame during the TNA fan attraction as we presented Bobby Hennan, Dory Funk Jr and Ric Flair with their Hall of Fame plaques.

Former Metro Pro Wrestling commissioner Matt Murphy has been removed, so in 2012 there is set to be an election for his replacement. Manager Steven J Girthy has put his name on the ballot. From the looks of it, the fans are split at the moment. On March 3rd, we will find out who else will try to win this election.
MWR has allowed us to have many memories and friendships that will last a lifetime with those in the ring as well as many out of the squared circle. Wrestlers, referees, managers, ring announcers are just a few that have hopes of making it to the top of our sport. We hope that you feel as if MWR has been supportive of your dream.
The truth is for many of us, we will never make a living with the sport we love. Still, I have to feel as if every moment on the road, taking photos, editing them and writing up many of the post from MWR has been worth every minute of it.

In football Tim Tebow and Tebowmania ran wild in 2011, at NEW Midwest Wrestling Tony G the baseball superstar has become a two sport sensation as he captured the NMW Central Illinois title much to the satisfaction to his fans.
On a personal note, my number one goal from owning this site, has been able to be a part of the sport that I love.
At the same time I wanted to be old school in the fact that I was a man of my word, someone who was respected and gave respect to others as well. To the best of my knowledge I have failed at times but for the most part have succeeded in my goal.

Fans young and old LOVE female wrestler MsChif around the country including the ones at NWA Dynamo pro wrestling.
I have tried not to make promises that I cannot keep. If you feel as if I OWE you something that I promised you willingly, feel free to contact me at flairwhoooooo@yahoo.com so that we can discuss it. If you feel as if we have done you wrong, then dont hesitate to let us know. Life is too short to hold grudges and we are all wanting pro wrestling in the Midwest to be the best that it can be.
Some weeks I have more time to promote shows on the site and around the message boards more than others. Thank you for the friends of the site that has shared our post to your friends, fans and other wrestlers letting them know about MWR.

Richmond, Missouri fans quickly let WLW Champion “The Prince” Jason Jones know that they feel as if he is more of a princess than the heir to the throne.
The truth is there was wrestling before MWR and there will be wrestling long after we are gone, yet I hope that you have enjoyed visiting the site and continue to do so while we are here.
So from myself and MWR Fan relation’s Dubray Tallman we hope to see you at the matches in 2012.

MWR Trading card #64 Michael Elgin
Posted by flairwhoooooo on February 20, 2012
Missouri Wrestling Revival is excited to announce one of the youngest and toughest wrestlers in the sport today as part of our MWR Trading set, “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin.
Canada has a long history of producing some of the top wrestlers in the world, and soon you will be adding the name Elgin to that list.
Many fans have fallen in love with the man many call the “Canadian Crazy Horse”, with a body that resembles the “Incredible Hulk” he is able to absorb punishment and deliver it tenfold.
Elgin may appear to be just another muscle head his opponents have learned the hard way that he delivers explosive moves with a true scientific wrestling background in the ring. Elgin started his training at the young age of 14, and has made his way to the Midwest on multiple occasions to improve that much better at Harley Race’s World League Wrestling’s annual week long camp that includes instructors from both WWE and Japan’s Pro Wrestling Noah.
Today he is a key member of Truth Martini’s House of Truth with former Ring of Honor World Champion Roderick Strong. Matches in 2011, saw him back down from no one as he went to war with the likes of Kyle O’Reilly, Chris Hero, El Generico, and Eddie Edwards.
Elgin made the House of Truth proud on November 18, 2011 during the Ring of Honor’s Survival of the Fittest tournament in a six man elimination match pitting Jay Briscoe vs. Eddie Edwards vs. Mark Briscoe vs. Kyle O’Reilly vs. Roderick Strong.
After former ROH World Champ Eddie Edwards took out the Briscoe’s Brothers, he was able to defeat Strong after some miscommunication from teammates Elgin and Strong. Elgin would get retribution when he delivered a massive clothesline on Edwards.
That left the young Kyle O’Reilly alone with the monster Elgin. O’Reilly would not go down without a fight and was able to go for a number of submissions including a guillotine and an armbar on Elgin looking for the all-important win. In the end, the power of Elgin would be too much for O’Reilly as Elgin delivered sit down powerbomb for his biggest win to date.
With that win he is guaranteed a shot at the ROH World Championship in 2012 thus making quite possibly making 2012 the year of the Unbreakable Michael Elgin.
Fans can catch this rising star this Saturday in the St Louis area, in Granite City, Illinois as he will meet former ST Louis Anarchy Champion Evan Gelistico!!!

AAPW returns on March 17th with Brandon Espinosa, Mark Sterling, Jeremy Wyatt, Mike Sydal, Ace Hawkins and much more!
Posted by flairwhoooooo on February 19, 2012
By Adam Testa
Officials at All American Pro Wrestling (AAPW) have been working hard to ensure that 2012 will be the company’s biggest and best year yet. Coming off the heels of a successful 2011, which saw the debut of the promotion’s television series “Collision”, plans are beginning to be formalized for Season two.
AAPW last saw action on Jan. 14, when it presented “Main Event,” a season finale supercard featuring Edmund “Livewire” McGuire defeating “Old School Warrior” Ax Allwardt to retain the AAPW Heavyweight Championship and the debuts of internationally renowned stars Colt Cabana (vs. “3G” Eric Wayne), “M-Dogg 20″ Matt Cross (vs. Pokerface), PAC and El Generico (who faced each other in a special exhibition match).
For those fans that missed the show, DVDs will be available as soon as next week. Pre-orders can be made for $15 at aapwrestling.com. Those copies that have been pre-ordered will be the first to ship. The first run of the DVD will have limited quantities.
Since “Main Event,” AAPW had been on hiatus between seasons. That changes March 17, when the promotion returns to the Black Diamond Harley-Davidson Warehouse in Marion, Ill., for the first “Collision” taping of Season Two. Talent announced for the show so far include AAPW Heavyweight Champion McGuire, AAPW Tag Team Champions Matt Cage and Christian Rose, the reunited Team XXX of Jay Spade and Joey O’Riley, Heath Hatton, Ax Allwardt and the returning Kansas City Killers duo of Mark Sterling and Jeremy Wyatt. More talent and matches will be announced in the coming weeks on AAPW’s Facebook
(http://www.facebook.com/pages/All-American-Pro-Wrestling/46640550535) and Twitter (@aapwrestling) pages.
Also, AAPW officials are seeking input on a “Best of Collision, Season One” DVD. The two-disc set would include 10 matches and be priced at $10. Please let AAPW know if this is something you would be interested in purchasing if it was made available.
AAPW thanks fans worldwide for the support, and the front office staff looks forward to seeing you again soon for Season Two
