NWA Central States Returns on May 10th in Vienna, MO

Posted by flairwhoooooo on April 27, 2014

 photo may10_viennaMO_zps71da4b0e.png

May 10th’s Vienna, MO event is looking to be one of NWA CCW’s finest outings yet.

The rematch from Richland, MO’s NWA CCW event will headline the night as its once again Brother vs Brother for the NWA Central States Heavyweight Wrestling Championship. (c) Shane Somers will defend the title against GQ Smooth. Their last encounter was a wild brawl that saw both men battle more on the outside then on the in. The match ended with GQ Smooth beating the count and defeating Somers via count out.

This time around Shane vows to defeat Smooth in the middle of the ring 1.2.3! Garrett Williams, the manager of GQ Smooth, is promising a different outcome. Garrett told me earlier today that: “On May 10th in Vienna, MO at the Knights of Columbus Hall, the fans of NWA CCW better be prepared to witness the dawning of a brand new era. A very Smooth Era! Indeed you simple minded monkeys, GQ Smooth will walk into Vienna, MO the uncrowned NWA Central States Champion & will leave that bump in the road town the new NWA Central States Heavyweight Wrestling Champion. The Somers Era ends on the 10th”.

Not to mention that the other half of the double main event will be the great Evan “Money” Morri$ defending the NWA Affliction Heavyweight Wrestling Championship against the capable challenger Raphael King.

King makes his way back to NWA CCW on May 10th in an attempt to gain some gold. However, he faces one of the sports top talents in Evan Morri$. Can King win? Yes. Will he? Possibly. Will it be easy? Never.

In order to defeat Morri$ one has to literally kill him. Evan has had a journey unlike any other in the business. He’s been written off as just a “kid” since day one. But through hard work and preservation Morri$ climbed the ladder then on March 30, 2013 he captured his first major championship the 2nd oldest known professional wrestling championship in the business today the NWA Central States Heavyweight Wrestling Championship. Today Evan is no longer viewed as the “kid” but as the “champ”. King better not be underestimating Morri$. However, Evans always better when people don’t think he has a chance. He’s wrestlings toughest underdog.

The return of the 7ft Belial. After last months NWA CCW event where he came into the Battle Royal and dismantled the Madhatter, what will happen on May 10th?

In the next few days will be announcing more matches for May 10th in Vienna, MO! So keep checking back.

Be sure to get your advance tickets for May 10, 2014 for Vienna, MO at the KofC Hall at the following locations:

World League Wrestling Second Annual Fantasy Camp on Friday and Saturday, May 16th & 17th

Posted by flairwhoooooo on April 26, 2014

wlw new

#####WLW PRESS RELEASE#####

World League Wrestling is proud to announce the second annual fantasy camp on Friday and Saturday, May 16th & 17th. This camp is for individuals who have no experience in professional wrestling and want to learn this craft. This tradition was started in 2011, and has continued into this year. The Harley Race Wrestling Academy trainers will be on hand to try and teach all hopefuls exactly what training consists of at the school.

The camp itself costs $150 and will be for two days. Times for training start at 10:00am to 4:00 pm. Topics that will be included are calisthenics, stretching, and basics when it comes to being a professional wrestler. Food and hotel is NOT included in this, although we will have a break for lunch though. Due to the success of last year’s Fantasy Camp, we want to include more people. WLW wants to stress that you do not have to have any experience to participate in this camp.

Trainers for this 2-day fantasy camp will include superstars from the WLW roster. Harley Race, former 8-time NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion and WLW owner, will be on hand to lend his expertise. He has been involved in professional wrestling for over 50 years, and continues to help carry on the rich tradition of this sport through World League Wrestling and the Harley Race Wrestling Academy.
World League Wrestling has been in operation for 15 years. As a professional wrestling company, we have ran hundreds of wrestling shows in conjunction with charities in and around the Missouri area. Several events have included WWE superstars, Pro-Wrestling NOAH superstars, and the wrestling superstars of tomorrow.

To reserve a spot at the Fantasy Camp, please email wlwmom@earthlink.net or call 573-392-4100. Serious inquires only.
